What are your best serves? Maybe you have an inspiration for me too☺️?
I use the ghost setve a lot, one Really long sidespin, and another one that i use to trick my friends, you start the serve like you are going to do backspin, then at the last second you change and serve Really fast, in is very funny to see the oponent's face when he gets tricked.
I use ghost serve too but i'll make sure to try out your serves today, i am playing with my friend in an hour can't wait to try them out.
Sir timo boll try the tomahawk serve it’s very good it could be helpful for you
If you master it you will beat fan zhendong hahahaha 😂
I use a serve similar to Mima Ito's hook serve where I serve a short sidespin to the opponent's backhand but I make it look like backspin by putting my arm under the table afterwards.
Congrats Timo for making it into the Olympic team! Hope to seeing Germany win a medal 🥇
Well, he's our best player
When are the Olympics
This aged well
@@spacejesus1266 Yes. They won a silver.
Don't do the third one against Pongfinity... Around the net alarm!
Don't give me anywhere
From the very beginning you are the person i idolize when it comes to pingpong😁😁😁
Thank you Timo for share your experience and tips.
Timo you’re such a legend to the sport of table tennis I’ve always been looking up to you as a young table tennis player! Services and returns are the areas of my game I need the most work on, and your video helped out immensely. Love from Palestine! ❤️

When I saw your match vs fan zhendong at 2018 austria open semi-final i was impressed at the level of variation in your services. Its good to learn the secret behind it❤
Wow! These serves are amazing! And so difficult!
Danke Timo.
Thank you, Timo, for another great lesson! And what is super appreciated is your use of a bi colour T.T. ball to show us the rotation of the ball as it comes of your bat. Crazy spin!
Timo I love you! You are such an amazing person and you have influenced me a lot. Best wishes for you and you are always my idol.
This video is amazing!! I'm left handed too. This video will help a lot.
You are the best.
Also you make the highest quality table tennis videos and tutorials I've seen so far. Keep it up!💪 Love you.
Спасибо Тимо)
I cant resist loving watching u rather than learning .😍😍😍
Incredible 🔥
Hi timo! I a big fan... I like your videos and they help a lot... Please keep making them! I will love a video about rally tactics, or serve tactics! Great vid as always
A joy to watch and tricky serves to execute are broken down in parts so you get maximum effect. Very informative Timo....as always. The quality of your blogs are getting better every time. Leo. Aylesbury Buckinghamshire
If I can learn these serves I will be INVINCIBLE...thanks so much for sharing! 😛
Thanks And Congratulations 🎉
Timo! You're such a pro! Those are the kind of serves us mere mortals dream about. I am committed to mastering at least the basic reverse pendulum serve. Thank you for your good-natured explanation of the finer points of the game.
Thanks Timo ❤️
Very helpful 👍👍👍
Very thanks! I started to do the short diagonal sidecut serve some months ago, with good practice and finetuning it is really a killer! you can use it a lot...
My favorite service is Side spin and I like your reverse pendulum serve. After the video you made on your service I too tried and I feel that this service is very useful
Thank you Timo for making such a useful video.
Thanks Timo, very beautiful video😊🏓
Den letzten Aufschlag bin ich auch fleißig am trainieren. 💪🏻
Auch wenn Aufschlag Training nicht zu meiner Lieblingsübung gehört, ist genau dieses Video eine Motivation dran zu bleiben, danke! 😊👍🏻
Aamazing serves..Ilike timo👍
Thank you for this video. 👍👍👍
These are the best. I traveled to North Carolina to take some lessons and train and challenged one of my teachers, by suggesting that he could not miss a long reverse pendulum serve long at the opposite baseline. I still can’t do it, but he did it easily.
Awesome 👍
Hi Timo, amazing video, I am a leftie and have found that these serves work very good sometimes! Great to see a player like you confirm this, now I am even more confident in them. And hope that Germany gets a medal in the olympic games, you are my favorite team!
great video. Thank you so much
Hey timo boll! Thanks for making video. Hope you'll do great in Olympic🥇🏆 . Best of Luck 🍀
Such a humble guy :)
좋은 영상입니다!!
Yout my idol Timo Boll, sincerely from the heart
Thank you❤️❤️
Vielen Dank Legend!
Thanks a lot Timo for these kind tutorials u make for us🙏🏻very helpful
Best regards from Belarus, Timo! Good luck in Tokio!
You Sir are the true Sensei
Really good video! I use these serves as well (mostly for mix ups) and they do surprise the opponent when performed well. I imagine as a left handed player this will be a little different but in a Right-Right match it works too
Timo what a wonderful, nice and modest super player
Yes I like these serves. I'm using pendlum and reverse pendlum, but these here are good tips to improve the serves
Super Video
Good Serves Timo, very effective in the games against and right and left handed players. I use them often, but will try exactly to practice these 3 serves as they look more aggressive and have more spin and need more attention in the game
It's really great to listen to you... love from India... Love from Sharath bhaiya ❤❤
Sharp serves, Timo! 🔥
Sehr gutes Video mal wieder!
Vielen Dank Timo für die tollen Aufschlagtipps. Würde sie gerne sofort ausprobieren. Noch sind die Hallen bei uns geschlossen.
Ich wünsche Dir/Euch ganz viel Erfolg bei Olympia. Ich drücke Euch alle Daumen. Ihr rockt das! 😉
Hoffe du kannst bald wieder trainieren ✊
Really useful video..
I like this version of " DIAGONAL "
Nice serves
I majorly use these three serves during my matches.
Big fan from Poland
thanks sir🙏🙏🙏
Thanks a lot Master!!!!!
Timo you are a great player love your game
From Russian with Love! Timo the best of the best!
Most neeededdd video sir🙏🙏
I love this! Straight to the point and TB explains things well. We need to give him a doctor degree in table tennis 🏓
My long parallel underspin with reverse pendulum, and my short backhand underspin are the ones that give the best results, but I can't apply them consistently, so I rarely apply them on a match, and play more with crosscourt long sidespin / underspin / topspin (I can mix them decently I think). You... are... great!
Many Thanks TIMO, your clips are developing the TT skills and talents for many players and fans, worldwide. May GOD bless you to win a medal in the upcoming Olympic Games, in Tokyo. Many fans will be supporting you, everywhere.
Wish you all the best of luck and I am sending you my Best Regards from Egypt.
Thank you Ahmad
@@timoboll8381 You are welcome, Best of Luck !
You're my inspiration timo :) from your game style to your personality. I even bought a racket boll brand although it isnt original but still.. Lol
really big fan of urs love ur video
frm india
고맙습니다~^^
Thank you^^
This confirms what took me a long time to find out myself: varying the placement of a serve is much more effective than jut varying the spin.
Спасибо, очень интересное видео!
Nice video....👍
Reverse pendulum serve 🥰❤️
I like how he says "diagonal." :)
Legend
Smooth
I as a lefty use a short diagonal sidespin serve like yours but with topspin and even shorter, so the opponent makes a weak forehand flip. Then I step around and do a strong forehand topspin from the backhand corner into the opponents deep forehand or ellbow.
It helped me to produce short points even against much more stronger opponents. 😄💪🏻
hope u can give more detailed instructions about these 3, thanks!
Awesome
I wish you all the best at the olympics. This year you will break the curse and go far.
You are great... Tx a lot :D
Tx, Regards from sLOVEnia
Big fan from Nepal
You are my idol timo...i hope i can br like you
From Colombia, South America :)
If you reply it will make my day. GOAT
I am Ali name from Iraq and I love Timo Thank you for the most important information
The short diagonal serve is the first serve i learned when playing in a club. Now after 3 years of club playing, i can execute it quite nicely.
The problem is just, for a non lefty, the opponent often just pushes it long to your bh side. If you apply backspin, which i often to, to prevent bh flicks from right handers, then i even get more backspin as a return. Now this has upsides and downsides to it.
The upside is, i learned a good serve, which prevents most of my level opponents from putting on to much pressure. Further it leads to me having developped a quite good backhand topspin. Or at least im on my way to it.
The downside is, i can rarely put to much preassure on my opponent. Even when i hit a nice bh topspin, my opponent normally is already in the bh side, since he pushed and therefore can block this ball. A bh topspin paralell on heavy downspin is a whole lot harder to do since the angle is weird.
Conclusion: for a lefty it leads to a direct fh attack. For a righty its not the same. I start using the serve therefore as a strong defensive weapon when i wanna play it save. Further i invest time in the reverse pendulum serve which is hard to do, but if you manage to pu it off with topspin halflong to middle or fh side, you often get a free attack on your fh as a right handed player! If this doesnt work i play bh serve with sidespin from fh side. It has the same effect!
And hope you are doing well . Love from india
Timo thanks for sharing your knowledge! Could you talk how does your serve tactics change when playing against right/left handed and or forehand/backhand dominant players?
As a Lefti myself I'm pretty used to those serves and I play them myself regularly. Only difference: the quality of course and I like to throw the ball (especially when it comes to the long parallel side cut serve) with the high toss movement like Vladimir Samsonov;) besides that you're my role model Timo. Wish you all the best for the Olympics. Hopefully they take place..
