My 29 year old son has been experiencing some challenges at work staying organized and motivated, especially having worked from home since Covid began. The first thing I did was tell him about how writing in a planner helps, and sent him your channel. I gave him one of my old binders and he is trying to figure out what inserts to purchase. I am not sure what videos has watched so far but this one is definitely one he should watch since you go over the monthly, daily and weekly calendars as well as the compass. I saw the PINK binder (wished it was a tan) but completely saw a Buy Sell Plan comparative flip through to her blush pink FC. 🤣 I clearly spend wayyyy too much time watching your channels.... the fly leaf is a total game changer. I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 so have VERY LIMITED access to really different binders. Thank you both for inspiring me over the last 2 years. I have learnt so much.

@@TonyaPlans Unfortunately, FC is too expensive with Amazon shipping costs and very limited from the US. The range is not always available on our site. After watching your Simplified Planner video last year, I have however invested in the At a Glance Folio Genuine Leather. It has 7 rings like FC Monarch. (BLACK)..and as close as I can get to the Tyler.. 🤣..and thanks to you, (and my live for writing) am just loving the Day on 2 page starter pack. I will be ordering more soon as the starter runs out. I will definitely invest in the leather Desktop/Classic size as I start travelling more for work as soon as I can decide zip or magnetic strap closure. 🤣 Thanks - your comparative videos just made the decision process that much harder. Other than that, I have an A5 6 ring that my mom used previously. That's how I started and will go back to that as buying inserts here are easier...I am starting to print my own but finding my way to my favourites is way too much fun. Thank you once again. Between you both and The Organised Money, I cannot express my gratitude in reflecting how you have full time jobs, families and still effectively manage simple daily tasks and prioritizing what matters most.
Hey Tonya, I do daily and weekly pages. I print my outlook weekly calendar page and insert it before the week starts. I do a day on two pages, so my Sunday Notes pages serves as my weekly goals page.

New subscriber here. Just curious if you do a yearly summary of the important things that happened each month. As I get older I find it helpful to summarize that stuff so I can quickly see when big stuff happened (like big purchases and repairs).

Just over two months ago before Christmas, I watched another time management video on CZcams, wherein the gentleman recommended not using To-do lists at all but instead focusing BLOCKING OFF TIME in a calender as he basically insisted that To-do lists are a kind of wishlist that gathers dust day in and day out. I don't remember who I was listening to; nor am I telling you or anyone else to follow this fellow's example. But the idea of ditching To-Do lists sounds pretty exotic from the POV of a traditional planner setup....

I just started using the Franklin Covey Binders-Classic size- and I am using the daily pages- seems to suit me with my rambling writing style. But, I have a pulling at my heart strings to get a compact size. What do you think of that size? The classic is so big and I haven't found a way to comfortable way to haul it around- yet. Maybe I am just due for a new tote bag.
