they should’ve kept the first two. definitely could’ve used more phin and miles scenes together. her character was sadly underdeveloped but still great performances from the actors

Yeah but except they weren’t going into that direction to spend as much time on their relationship instead wanting to focus on telling Miles’s coming of age story as Spider-Man. I’d prefer the relationship story arc than telling a story of becoming your own Spider-Man because we’ve seen that in into the spider verse already

2nd scene was really a missed opportunity. If miles knew rick died he would be even more motivated wanting to find out what happened to rick and help Phin but Phin telling miles about programmable matter would made the Phin reveal less impactful and shocking to miles as a character that she’s working for the underground or even being the tinkerer. Come to think of it maybe it would better from a narrative perspective to include that scene and change some of the parts in the actual game for more emotional character arc between their friendship, the reveal in the game was underwhelming enough that after it the relationship was not well executed but instead they put the focus on miles coming of age as Spider-Man rather than their relationship.
I think it would have given away that phin is the tinkerer even more easily than it happend in.the actual game.
It really was anticlimactic

It still could have worked. Instead of keeping it as a surprise you could have Miles spend that time trying to convince himself that Phin isn't the Tinkerer. Maybe Miles could have tried to look into who else it is. Some other people who are working on programmable matter. Ganke could spend the entire time trying to get Miles to see that maybe Phin isn't the person he thought she was. Then he could discover the real reason Rick died and would be forced to confront Phin. Admittedly, like theostrowskibrothers3068 said the main crux of the story would be changed as this would take you up to Phin discovering Miles is Spider-man but it would eliminate Miles being two-faced about Prowler and Phin, as they would have had different stories instead of Aaron and Miles doing pretty much the same thing to Miles and Phin respectively.
@@lord_egg I love the game and honestly for the die hard fans they knew who the tinkerer already was but for a guy like me I didn't know but they changed the gender in the game. I never did like those two keeping secrets or hell that she was the final boss if anything the asshole who ran roxxon is clearly the main villain yet np fight. They easily could have made him someone who hasn't been in the games yet.
If they kept the second scene it would have been much less surprising to see that The Tinkerer is Miles’ childhood best friend, but it would have been cool to have the plot be where Miles already knows that Phin is The Tinkerer, and then he thinks that she’ll become a superhero, but instead becomes a villain

Phin becoming the tinkerer was pretty damn obvious when you put 2 and 2 together.
@@itscalebgreen I disagree. The story could've been a lot better. The reveal was too obvious and Rick's death didn't really seem like it mattered to the audience. That scene alone could've really made it far more emotional.

They could've made her identity discovered earlier . If they went this route. As miles finding out later on didn't really affect the story much. Phin still becomes a villain.
They should have kept the scene between Miles and Phin in the game.
That and moving the flashback scene at the Oscorp Science Center to the start of the game instead of having it at the end would have further solidified the deep friendship and chemistry between them.
It's straight up the best scene with Phin and it's a shame they cut it. Honestly the scene of her telling Rio and Miles to leave and that protesting doesn't work is also pretty good and shows she actually cares about Rio and Miles because in the game her attacking Rios rally really doesn't make any sense at all. She claims "everything would've been fine if Spider-Man didn't show up" but the Underground opened fire before Spider-Man got there, so she's straight up wrong.
Hell, telling them to leave Harlem even makes sense for later on since she's planning to blow up the Plaza and doesn't want them to get hurt.

The second clip where Phin says Rick was dead would have made her reveal hit harder
They should have kept the second one in the game, knowing Rick was dead and then finding out how would have made an even bigger emotional impact on Miles then the one we got.
2nd scene was honestly kind of a better way of miles finding out rick is dead

If they kept that second clip I would've been a little more sympathetic towards Phin. And the last scene showed that Rio is not afraid. She's a powerful woman
They had to cut it as soon as he miles said "your home" that would have been the first time he ever disrespected his mom.

Nadji could play Live Action Miles if he really got the chance. Same for Shameik, but you can really SEE the acting with Nadji
All of these scenes were great no way should these have been cut they would’ve built up the story more.

All of these should've been in the game. If the game was longer and made Phin a better villain and Rick more than a plot device through flashbacks
I really wish they would have included more references of Phin in Spider man 2. It just kinda feels like it never happened and the last time we saw miles was in Spider-Man 1. When they dive deep into Mile’s mind there’s no mention of her at all at least that I can remember. We also never really see Peter talk to Miles about her. I get he’s moved on and has hailey in his life and she treats miles so much better but there’s just no mention of her at all. She was Mile’s freind and she sacrificed her life for miles. That’s absolutely fucking heartbreaking and they just went right over it. It would have been cool to see Miles help Peter grieve over harry becoming corrupt from his experience with phin. This also would have shown Mile’s strength he has mentally and how this would help Peter make that decision to pass the torch to miles.
Who else adored and got lost in the free roam of this game ?
That first scene felt like when Ned found out Peter was Spider-Man.

I kind of feel bad for phin Mason the reason why Rick died because he was trying to stop the Roxxon Nuform reactor and that's why phin became the tinkerer the leader of the underground so she can avenge of her brother's death

They really shoulda kept at least half of the 2nd scene. I still liked Miles discovering the truth about Rick from Phin's phone but they should've at least talked about it before then. The last one was good too.

Agreed and the second scene would have change the the story and the 3rd scene he didn't act like Miles in the game he didn't want to leave because Peter said it's his job so why would he consider it
They shouldn't have made Phin's reveal a thing. It was too obvious and made me feel like they didn't take the audience seriously. I don't know anyone that didn't know it was her from early on.
@@goat9295I didn't only because it's a villain I've never heard of. Much like Jason Todd in Arkham knight I don't know the character that well enough to figure out it was him. I've only read a couple issues with him as Robin. But the ones who knew it pretty well especially when he came back as red hood they Knew who it was from the 1st scene he was in as there were many clues if you really though about it

The very first part of the scene when Miles enters through the window is used as the default animation of him entering the apartment, the part where ganke see's him and he has to jump to the ceiling is the deleted part

Oh man why first two were deleted? Those scenes could've make the game much better in story telling. Phin and Miles could've been much deeper characters than they are now.

Miles was originally supposed to wear Jordans in this game, but some licensing stuff happened and they decided to just go to adidas instead. I just wish they used a better pair of adidas shoes tho

why was the second scene taken out? more of that and phin being the villain would have a larger impact on us and be more surprising compared to Otto! because this and who knows how many more were missing, I did not care about phin and actually was really against her motives. they definitely did not do a great job with her character.
Edit: after watching the whole video, all three of these scenes would make the story 10x more impactful. Phin being honest from the start just keeping some details and Miles not telling her he's spider-man after all of this would make more sense. but the way they decided to move forward made the game so much worse in terms of story telling. how have I not heard of this?

Miles morales is a fantastic game but it’s my least favourite out of the 3. It’s always so cool seeing the deleted scenes because I’ve beat this game like 6 times

The first deleted scene in this video clearly implies us wearing different suits in the cutscene like we can in the whole game, since you can clearly see Miles isn't actually wearing a suit.
