I like doing this with Jarl Haesteinn (if you have Northern Lords). 1: Declare Varangian Adventure on Italy for the Duchy of Corsica, take the island and march your troops on Turin. Should be an easy and fast war. 2: After that just declare on both Sardinian Counts and you'll have the Kingdom of Sardinia. Move your capital to Cagliari for the silver mine. I also merged cultures with Royal Court, Stalwart Defenders can come in handy when you lose your special troops after succession and get Holy War'd. Communal can also be nice later for the building cost reduction. 3: Profit. Playing in Sardinia as a Viking is amazing. The Italian coast, Spain, even Jerusalem, all nearby and filled with gold and abductable family members ready to be ransomed. That plus the silver mine in Cagliari will finance a serious force of Men-at-Arms after investing in some economy buildings. Feudal Vikings are scary. 4: Expand. Literally wherever. You have a central staging ground in the Mediterranean and the world is your oyster.
Just from the benefit of hindsight, that initial succession actually went perfectly. Either way you're losing counties so might as well have it so they can be conquered immediately afterward rather than revoked through tyranny or slow claims.

I found your videos like 3 days ago and I can't stop watching. I have CK3 but I have never played it before and it had so much stuff to do that it gets confusing. Seeing your videos and to be honest hearing your voice as well is somehow calming to me. The only thing I wish you change is the audio, if you could make it a little higher would be perfect!. I personally have never been there but is well known for the Argentinian people, at least the people I know for sure do!. Most of the people who has Wales origins are located in Rawson wich is the capital of Chubt, a province in the south of the country,in patagonia. Do you have other social media? Personally, I'm attempting a situation like that now. Similar to you in this series, I'm doing a run from Corsica and Sardinia right now as well. I can't create the kingdom because I shortshitedly pledged myself as vassal to the king/queen of Italy and now can't claim a title equal to my liege. I started a faction for independence, but no go on that so far. I roleplay as a loyal family man, so I'm in a race against the clock to become king or split my lands through succession. Then I got the fun idea of trying to elevate my king/queen to emperor of Italia. They already held almost all of the land needed for the title; all that was missing was the land of the Pope. So seduced by the lure of a crown, I forsook my Catholic faith, suffered excommunication, and claimed the duchy in the name of my king. Alas, my king is yet a king and no emperor yet. Now, from what I can tell, my king has all of the necessary lands. I skipped ahead to episode 3 of this series to see that the requirements are 42 counties and 1000 gold. I may just need to log back in and start gifting the gold, but that may be out of reach.
I love Sardinia so much because of the mine. But I hate the fact that Tuscany own Corsica and is a vassal to Kingdom of Italy. So I'm pretty much screwed either by staying independent or become Italy's vassal (I'm a gene guy, so my kids marry for good traits not alliance)

I tried this play through on console, I don’t know if it’s a bug but I can’t seem to build the mine in Cagliari🤷🏻♂️ everything is the same as the playthrough, unless these special buildings aren’t enabled on console yet? Anyone know anything about this? Thanks
Apparently if you start in 1066 as the count of cagliari the mine is already built. The problem is that the holding in which the mine is located is held by your bishop, so you don't get the full benefits of the mine.

I always go for Cagliari whenever I am in and around the Mediterranean region.

Cornwall is easier I think it's a 2 dutchy kingdom, it can be 4 if you pick up Hwicce and Wessex. It's pretty fun play,
