There wasn't actually "red" xenomorphs. In the genocide comics, red and black were used to depict two warring hives to the reader. But in reality, the "red" hive were the same shiney black as the rest of the species. This is noted by the exploration crew that come to the planet.

They don't expand on these storylines because for the most part they are not considered to be part of the canon lore. More like "what-ifs".

I'm not sure any species which cooks up xenomorphs and biological weapons has any right to be judging us..
I think the engineers just didn't really judge us. To them we are what toasters are to us. Inferior machines which makes the very concept of judging arbitrary.
Killing a human is like taking the washing machine out to the dumb yard. You wouldn't "judge" the machine for failure but just see it as an outdated damaged machine you made and now need to get rid off.

They wanted to create life. They hated humans because we are a violent species but also said we were the only successful one. They wanted to find a way to create life again which they lost. In doing so “took the violent” dna out and created the alien species most likely on accident. There is also some wonder if they created the yautja (predators) which would be really cool. Since predators have hunted and killed engineers. Which is also why the engineers would say the predators were a failed species. It’s also interesting that the predators might have a better understanding of physics and all science since the predators have better technology.
The engineers wouldn’t have created the aliens on purpose but humans kill each other all the time on purpose. Is what I’m getting at

@@stephenmiller2544 unfortunately they didn't depict it. But the scientist of the story refers to the mountain moving. And him being safe up in that mountain, with no other creatures living up on the mountain. If you follow the story every organism in the story is created/accelerated by the black goo. A whole ecosystem has sprung up after the visit to the moon in prometheus. The scientist in this story speculates that the mountain must be one of the first organisms to have been able grown to such a size. As the reader you will automatically suspect the deacon being the mountain. It's a cool story especially the beginning. It's a recommended read.

A nonsensical one to be honest.
Because it was continuing the Prometheus storyline which has multitude of holes in it.
No organism can sustain without protein and would eventually die. Not the abrupt death but a slow, sufferable end with painful decline in physicality.
The massive face hugger that came out of Shaw doesn't make any sense at all since it didn't have any form of acetic acid to grow that large in such a small span of time especially after coming out of a Homosapien who is not even half his size.
And that Ctulhu creature strangles and chokes a space jockey.
Following the same illogicality, we see the deacon becoming a mountain almost a century after the departure of Shaw and David.
If you study biology, nothing mentioned make any sense.
Alien (1979) and Aliens were supposed to be a psychological horror and an action thriller respectively instead of this sci-fi mythology it is turned into now.
Due to the massive success it achieved before the start of this century, the makers thought about making this a franchise with religious and philosophical tones and tried to make it scientifically legible, but ended up making it biologically incoherent just filled with body horror and disgust.
Then, comic book writers jumped into it and started writing comics based on these movies.
Funny thing is it is all over the place without any consistency, let alone realism.

You gotta see them in context to what universe they belong to which is a universe of evil perversion. The xenomorphs could easily simply consume the host and kill them peacefully but instead they choose to burst thru the ribcage which is one of the more hardened areas of the body but hey its disgusting and cruel just like they're universe.

What are the xenos on the homeworld using to breed? Does that mean there is a form of xenomorph that is completely base and unlike human born xenos?

Which would suggest that even in the 1st Alien movie Wayland Corp already had knowledge of LV242 and sent that crew in Hope's of acquiring a xenomorph, hence why the Android had seperate orders & programming (stating that the ENTIRE crew was expendable and to bring back the life form at all cost).

Secondly, it's not up for debate, it's an established fact that the company had knowledge of the distress signal of ET origins there, and specifically planned out a route for the Nostromo to be close enough to be able to intercept it, or something to that effect

I’m pretty sure Ridley Scott has said that he doesn’t recognize anything from the ‘AVP’ as being part of the Alien universe. So I wouldn’t wonder too hard about it, would think of both movies as ‘one shot stories’

The idea ie script writer was Dan O'bannon, Alien was his idea , 1st draft was called star beast, when he pitched his script to 20th century fox they snatched it up. Giger was brought on to design the xenomorph and derelict ship, and Ron Cobb designed the Nostromo.
The reason the engineers wanted to destroy humanity was for the same reason the David line of synthetic humans was discontinued, it was to self aware and made those around it uncomfortable

It's not beyond the realm of possibilities a facehugger was attacked by a large T-rex and before the jaws came down it latched onto it's tongue and slicked back it's feeding tube down it's throat and ejected an embryo. From there it's the same process just without being unconscious.

While ACM was a poorly handled game. I do like how it essentially fixed Hicks BS death in A3. canonically now Hicks is alive and that makes me happy.
Still play it on pc from time to time but only with the templargfx overhaul mod,it solves the glitches, shit AI, improves graphics and particle effects rebalance the weapons and xenomorphs melee attacks. It's the only way to play it, Vanilla version is just too shit

Here's an idea for the weyland yutani corp; Mech suits.
I really wouldn't mind a film series based on the Earth War novel trilogy. Start it off with Earth Hive, and if that's successful, continue with Nightmare Asylum and wrap it up with The Female War.
Honestly the novels would be great source material for new films that don't require any further exploration of the contentious Prometheus prequels.
The batman part was really really unexpected.

For Hudson, I'd like to believe his story continued at least a little longer.
I'd like to think he was dragged down too far to meet up with the rest so his story was trying to get back to the ship but avoiding the Xenomorphs had him completely turned around and lost. Then he found himself approaching the hive. After a few close calls with some drones and a couple wandering facehuggers, he finds out exactly what happens to the ones they capture. Now he tries to get as far away from the hive as possible. That's when he walks right into the area around the queen. This is when he makes contact with a pretorian. All he can do is run and dodge, running through a part of the queen's birthing chamber. The pretorian chases after him and by chance the pretorian gets it's upper body stuck in some bio resin. This would be short lived if Hudson didn't act fast. That's when he saw it. This used to be a room and this was a doorframe and this is the switch! Hudson slams his fist into the switch to close the door. "Get bent you ugly mother fu-" the door slams down and decapitates the pretorian, but it's acid welds the door shut. Hudson takes a sigh of relief but then turns around to see in the distance the elevator is coming down. "So these bastards know how to use elevators now? Perfect... Wait hold on... Ripley?!?" Hudson can't call to her without drawing too much attention. He tries using his flashlight but it's no use. The light keeps going on the fritz and all the flashing would have blocked it out anyway. This door was the only way he knew of to get back to her. Hudson tried to find a way to her. "Even if I can't get to her, at least she doesn't have to deal with big ugly anymore. Hope it helped her. But what the hell is she doing down here anyway? Hudson runs into dead end after dead end. He finally finds a way through but the next room is completely engulfed in fire. "Damn girl! You don't mess around! The corps sure coulda used you!" Hudson's thoughts turn to his unit and how this all happened so fast. He hears something loud crash over by the elevator. It's going up. "Ripley you bitc- hold on, is that... It is! The kid! Ripley came back for her... Damn... I really wish the corps got her first. She's good people. She'd make a great marine..." Just then Hudson hears something behind him. Coughing. He follows the sound of the coughing and finds Burk stuck up on the wall. "And here I thought this was gunna be a BAD day! Looks like there is still some justice in this messed up universe after all!" Burk manages to sputter out "Please... Inside me... Help... Help me..." Hudson condescends "Aw geez Burky boy, I'd love to but... Weren't you the one who left us for dead back there? That's right! You were! Even tried to get Ripley and the kid knocked up with one of those THINGS! Nah man. You're stayin right where you are. Oh and Burk... When you get to hell, tell Capone I said hi." Burk faintly responds "Tell him... Yourself..." Hudson looks behind and sees seven Xenomorphs closing in on him. They pause for a moment. The explosion begins and quickly makes its way throughout the compound. Just before it reaches Hudson and Burk, Hudson looks to him and says "See you in hell Burk..."

Question about Net Head alien from AVP. I thought it took its different approach to situations by taking traits from its host Adele Rousseau? She gets set up as cautious, prepared, and possessing a high degree of situational awareness early in the movie, and I thought that this is why Net Head didn't act like the other aliens?

Thank you for the hard work. I don't know much about the alien universe but I wonder how xenomorphs will reproduce alone in their home world given that there is no hosts remained (or in decline) also they all resemble the ones that immerged from human hosts not from different species.

Unpopular opinion. Colonial marines is one of the best games ever made. Best alien perspective, and feeling of power. And best experience of satisfaction when burning bunches of bugs!!! I applaud it, especially online.

Can we talk about the microbia implications on a scientific more realistic level? For example, the comparison between the xenomorph's and the Phornima fish that helped inspire their image. Their parisitoid nature which also shares a correlation to cordycep fungus; it's affect on it's hosts. Keep in mind fungi can survive through radiation and the vacuum of space. They also have an interesting affect in all aspects of nature on earth. Biomechanically speaking. Micelium is the largest living organism on earth. The stoned ape theory suggest human consciousness was developed with the ingestion of psychedelic mushrooms. Similar fungi like material/mechanisms could be a living part of their nest and explain some of their behaviours... Any thoughts?
That's a really interesting set of connections you've made there. I would argue that the black goo was a bioartificial compound which had the behavioral/molecular characteristics of a parasitoid fungus, and had the artificial capability to become multicellular. I feel like the only way it would know how to be multicellular is a) it evolved on its own b) it was created in the image of a living organism using artificial intelligence.
7:27 The Engineer's weapon looks very much like the Phage beam weapon in Warframe.
Ah a man of culture i see it does make sense since engineer's tend to have bio organic tech so it only makes sense that their weapons would also be of that variety.

One question that always lurks in my mind is how the F an alien grows from like 2-3kg up to 100+ kg without getting any food. I know that black goo accelerates everything but according to the law of conservation of mass, "Mass can never be created from nothing..."
This is actually the single biggest plot hole in the whole franchise. Breaks basic physics.

So the Engineers are the ones that are really responsible for the spread of the Xenomorphs.I wonder how the Predator species knew about how they could use them for a worthy game to hunt? I'm sure there should be other creatures in their cosmos that are also worthy as seen in the second Predator movie .I or we would love to see these other game species in a movie instead of the Xenomorphs all the time .
Predators and Aliens exist in separate timelines. They aren't canon to each other anymore....technically.

I imagine the Alien race to work like ants, and there are many different species of Ants on earth and many of them competing with each other. So their homeplanet would be in constant conflict between the different species of Aliens, thus forcing them to continually adapt and evolve - becoming the perfect species that they supposedly are.
Also, what I feel like they should have done before Alien Paradise (Covenant) was to make Shaw and David travel there together and have the Engineer Alien from Prometheus hide on their ship before leaving. I think they had a good opportunity there to create something in between the movies, having Shaw perhaps die by it while destroying it and thus directing David's wrath and sorrow for his loss of Shaw upon the Engineers by releasing the black goo and wiping them out. Then we can have David experimenting, trying to revive Shaw and in his attempts eventually creating the Alien - thus Covenant.
I agree theyre like ants but once a planet is overrun what species do they use to breed? What do they eat. Remember aliens werent evolved. They were created by a supervirus and perhaps nanobots that just incorporated different features of their host. So once aliens took over a planet youd have to assume theyd breed themselves into extinction.
In the comics there are alien vs alien wars but that would probably what happened when breesing stock and food ran low
