- In this urban sketching video I share how I sketch a rainy neighbourhood scene in pen and watercolor. The pen and initial watercolour washes are done on location and the final washes and details are added at home.

It's great to see the process for a "rainy day" sketch! You captured it well! Thanks so much.
Thank you!
Really like the muted color choices and shadowy details, very nice
Thank you!
“Struggling”. But you did it and it turned out beautifully.
Thank you! I do feel like I struggle in most of my sketches - either something doesn’t turn out how I imagined or I try something new - in the end there’s usually things I like about each sketch and things I learned.
Love it! I’m to chicken to start drawing in pen! I’m trying so hard to work through my perfectionism but I’m not doing a very good job 😜
@@MultiPassionateCreator Thanks! Yes working straight with pen can be tough but all the mistakes just add to the drawing in the end.
Nice job! I found your videos a few weeks ago and I'm trying to get time to watch more of them. They are relaxing!! I tried to learn to do water colour quite a number of years ago. Unfortunately being a perfectionist, I got caught up in the sketch. I guess I'll need to stick with AutoCAD and 3D app's. LOL
Thanks Rick! Hope you’re well. Nothing wrong with drawing in CAD and 3D apps :).
@@AGsBlog_ But what you are doing is art and is beautiful.
Maybe put the video in real time when you get to a difficult part to paint.
@@kathiecopeland5169 Thanks - that’s a good suggestion.
