This is so much nicer than a US dorm. mine was $795 a month for 1/2 a tiny room and that's it. No kitchen or things.

@@walideg5304 Alot of countries do this... Ireland and The UK are just a couple examples, why do governments do this? Well because it's economically beneficial... Otherwise they wouldn't do it. It's a short term investment for a long term gain, it's a net positive.
@@Anonymoose66G if they are foreigners most of them will leave France and the benefit will go to the other country. France should stop this in my opinion. Foreign students are welcome but they have to pay everything. Including the real tuition fees. France only asks for around 600€/year including social security. Too generous.
@@walideg5304 Depends on wether your paying for public or private ofc. France entices people to stay and work in France by doing this, as well as companies which can sponsor your tuition for work. If this isn't a net positive then yes changes should be made however it's important to not look at things from a linear perspective and to listen the the professional economists about the situation, there's probably a resource online I'm not sure. Furthermore it's not just the tuition France subsidizes for foreign students, rent, transportation and energy. Also I would say that most foreign students stay in France since alot are intercontinental students from Asia, e.g India and they usually stay because they have security via a job, education, apartment/dorm and are probably learning French. It would simply be more inconvenient and difficult to move again.
