Yeah, I thought Belal would probably win. This felt like Max Holloway vs. Justin Gaethje all over again. People didn't seem to consider how awful Leon has looked in every fight. Leon barely fights, and was almost KO'd cold by Nate Diaz. No elite fighter goes 5 rounds with 37 year old Nate Diaz.

Aspinall got the Marc Early Stoppage Goddard Treatment. Curtis was not out and working on getting up while Aspinall was getting tired throwing weak punches. Get rid of Goddard once and for all. Ruining title fights consistently.

The notion from Jed and Mike that Mokaev should be cut for acting out is absurd. We've seen fighters do 10x worse and Mike and Jed never shed a tear and their A-holeness was a selling point.
There has to be various reasons Mokaev got cut, it wasn't just the acting out. Like you said there's plenty of fighters who have gotten into scuffles backstage, though a disciplinary action should take place it sometimes doesn't. UFC has had many fighters who have had the "boring" moniker and haven't had many exciting fights, and still be resigned. It definitely wasn't because he asked for a better contract, worse fighters have received one. Even if you add all these together there is something else that must make him hard to deal with like Dana alluded to people backstage having a hard time with him.

UFC has had much more boring fighters than Mokaev over the last couple of decades, with even more of a lay and pray style. All credit to Belal for his grappling and wrestling. However, Leon willingly walked to the fence. Leon fought like a moron. It wasn't even like Belal out struck him or even cut him OFF into the fence. Literally Belal was standing out of range and Leon walked backwards to the fence and stood. They Belal walked forward. Didn't strike. Leon put up a high guard. Again NO STRIKES from Belal. Then Belal shot. Leon didn't deserve the belt. He did not fight like a champion. He fought like Bobby green. Like a 15th ranked guy if even that.
