Have done this job a few times, but a word of warning, the plastic Yellow plastic oil filler cap where you put the oil in, is one of the worst caps I have ever come across. A metal one would have been better and more robust. Removal of the cap is not the easiest to do, and you skipped that in the video LOL. You do a quarter turn and then try to pull out without damaging it, I found it very difficult and eventually it moved slowly upwards a bit at a time then it popped out. I find the 1.0 engine does not lose oil very much over the year. Agree oil filter is in a horrible location, but I used a pit to get access.

Ahhh there he is!!! I’ll tell you why I skipped that bit Col…. I had the shock of my life… MAYONNAISE!! after some investigation and plenty of Woodford Reserve bourbon 🥃 I panicked and thought the head gasket had failed. Turns out some idiot had jet washed the engine bay causing water ingress also, I only usually do short hops to a train station (hills in the valleys boyo. Lol ). And the engines can create condensation on the short journeys. Good news is. Checking daily zero Mayo now. 💪
I didn’t find that cap a challenge to be honest buddy. But I think I understand.

And yes… that filter position is horrid. A pit would be lovely. You’ve made me think about putting one in my garage now Col. … 😂 thanks 🙏 I think
