Your Bible Sense 40: The Infancy Gospel of St. Thomas

This is indeed a very old book and is considered apocryphal.
I can absolutely understand why people would consider this book fraudulent,but, I fail to see why/how a fraudulent book would contain anecdotes so randomly assembled with no real flow; it just seems like stories Mary and/or Joseph relayed to St. Thomas and he wrote them down; there is no developed entertainment value in the book as you might expect from a book developed and distributed for entertainment value. If it were created at least a couple hundred years after Jesus died- why even bother creating it this way? Considering the state of book making and distribution back then- I just don't see "why".
