  • Today we look at an incredible artifact that somehow survived underground, in the mud, for 132 years, yet somehow didn't get muddy.

This is amazing! Please make more of these videos. I was able to visit the museum back in 1989. It was impressive even back then. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and I asked the curator "the right question" because she then took us into storage to see even more. What a thrill! I reproduce period clothing patterns and my companion from that day, now works in a museum in Washington DC. It looks like a multitude of objects have been added since our visit. I'm impressed on how enthusiastic you are about the Arabia artifacts.

This is very interesting to watch. It has special meaning to me because my dad and my husband helped dig it up. They worked for Luttrell construction (Dave is my cousin)

Wow! I volunteer at an historic park where we wear period attire from 1855-1865. How amazing to see this coat so well preserved -- an ordinary wear sort of coat, not one in a fashion magazine or saved in some elite museum. Thank you!

We toured your wonderful facility two days ago. It was an AMAZING experience, hard to find the words that describe it accurately. If you are truly lucky, you may visit there on a day when Jerry Mackey is there to give you a personal tour as we were!!

A friend and I visited last year in Aug. While I had been to the outdoor fleamarket, I had not experienced the museum. We had an amazing time there! And evan ran into one of the men who initially found it. Looking forward to seeing it again soon!
