Nice of you to make this video. It's a very odd cabin filter procedure compared to most -- poor design, I think.

Thank you for sharing this. Helped a lot.

The airflow is back to front from what I can tell. I assume the factory one had the right orientation and it was the same as the video. You can always turn on the blower and verify\

The filter is also a simple media construction - there really is no “backwards”, unlike a filter that can have metal mesh or other rigid material that needs to be on the backside of flow.

It seems all of these videos put the filter in backward. If the flow comes in from the front, the arrow should point toward the cabin, right? Which means the tab needs to be at the bottom of the filter.

In earnest... these are non-directional filters, and would be fine going in either way (that is, no backplate meshing or other directional reinforcement). Was ultimately putting the filters back in to match the way the original filters were installed at factory.

I agree with @mcolinj. My replacement filter package says the arrow should be pointed the direction of the air is flowing. Air coming in from outside to inside the vehicle. Looks like the tab to pull out has been positioned either top or bottom by different manufacturers and not the indication of the filter insert direction. Otherwise, a great video tutorial to replace the cabin air filter for Nissan 2011-2017 models

would this be a left hand right hand drive issue?

      Process would theoretically be reversed

Another informative video, Is there a way to contact you for doing a product review video? Didn’t find any info on your page to reach out

I wonder if you new filter was for a right-hand drive Nissan LEAF? Hence the flow arrow relative to the tab...

Just used this video for my 2017 LEAF. So it is the same for that year

Great video! Do I need a specific AC filter, or would any filter work?

Thanks for the tutorial. I’ll give it a shot, but it looks like a very awkward place to work.

Sucks that I can't easily check if the used care dealer replaced the filter or not (due to removal being potentially destructive).
    Actually had to ask them!

Good news is it’s a cheap filter/easy to replace!

I believe all Nissan cars have weird air filter cabinet wher you have to squeeze and twist the filter to get it out or in. Nissan engineers 👎👎👎👎👎
