So our month in Montenegro officially came to an end and we packed up for a nearly solid 24 hours of travel to return to the United States. Our path included flights from PGD Podgorica - IST Istanbul - JFK New York - JAX Jacksonville, Florida. We had a nearly 8 hour layover in Istanbul and decided to try out their air-side Yotel Hotel. This episode highlights that stay and shows you how cool the room was as well as the IGA Lounge in the Istanbul Airport. Happy to announce we made it home safely for the holidays.

Thanks. Enjoyed your video very much and it is helpful. I recently stayed in the Yotel Capsule hotel at London Gatwick airport. Had a 6 1/2 hour layover. Rented a capsule room for 4 hours at 39 euros. Full room including full bathroom with shower in about 75 sq m. Very comfy . Amazing what they can do in such small spaces. YOTELS are my favorite.
Turkey is making travel less stressful by offering a hotel right into the airport. I will be doing a layover for 10 hours in Oct and I will be using Yotel to catch some sleep and relax between two long flights.
Yes it is definitely recommended. We have stayed at a couple airside hotels and so far Yotel has been the best!

Hello, i tried looking for the hourly rate option but i cant seem to get it? I have even emailed them but the rates they gave me is the same as daiky rates. 😅 Is it possible that hou could send a link to the right place? Or is this option closed 🤔.

Yes! Definitely was clean for our stay.
Are there no bright lights in the room or were they trying to imitate real time which was about 12am?

If I had to layover in Istanbul for 9 hours or something like that, do I need to go through customs and/or immigration in order to be able to stay at this hotel?

Hello, I had a query for you. We are travelling from NYC to Mumbai, and have a 14 hour layover at IST airport. Can we stay at the Yotel [airside] without taking Turkey visa? Me and my wife hold India passport and our son is a US citizen.
Hi! As long as you are on the airside of the airport you can stay at the Yotel. No Turkish visa required. Enjoy!

Thanks for the review. Looking forward to getting some rest in Istanbul at this incredible airport during our 27 hour haul to Bangladesh from Chicago with a toddler. Araturk was horrible for long layovers. Another brand new foreign airport that puts all the shit we have here in the US to shame.

How much it cost you guys for 8 hour?
Hi Mustafa. We actually used credit card points to book the stay. It's pricy though, booking.com shows it at $180 a night. I can't seem to find out how to see the price per hour. I'd give them a call. Sorry I can't help more.
