After watching some excellent content on this way of fermenting weeds and spent harvest / compost where there is a shortage of compost - we've put an old fermenting bucket to re-use and made a fertigation liquid from grass cuttings, weeds and some off cuts of our recent harvests putting these ideas into practice.
JADAM / fertigation is a great way to add fertility back to the ground when compost is scarce - and improves the bacterial synthesis of plants to access those nutrients in the soil.
Credit to the great ideas and information that have been uploaded on this method from the @The Survival Gardening Channel with David The Good and @Huw Richards channels.
If you want to take a more in depth look then the following book is the main source / basis for this method: "JADAM Organic Farming" - amzn.to/3OYJTAc; or you could try the following which is a more condensed / practical approach to the same principles: "The Regenerative Grower's Guide to Garden Amendments: Using Locally Sourced Materials to Make Mineral and Biological Extracts and Ferments" - amzn.to/3asLZJF

Morning Andrew it’s even scary thought getting manure in UK so many people complaining about poisons in the manure. Ahh Manchester I lived there as a chilled before my parents moved to Canada, Colchester Avenue. I was just saying to someone our weather here is getting (as is the world) ridiculous hotter in summer so I’m going to totally have to rethink what I grow next year. It’s 28c in the shade and I’m having to water every day if not twice a day 😱. Great idea on the watering with home fertilizer 👍👍. Have a great week 🐝 safe

Hi Ali, yup - a few people have reported problems with this herbicide in manure - so trying to avoid it at all costs! Blimey - it is a small world. That would be Prestwich by the sounds of things - found out the other month that I had family emigrate to Canada and then they came back in the 1920s!! The changing weather is a challenge - but could allow for some interesting crops to be grown. Watering will be a problem though. Smarter / more intuitive methods of watering will no doubt be needed. Best to get ahead of the curve now :-0
      Cheers, Andy.
