@@coryunferferth1767 Yeah but you're not an engineer. You're just a guy on CZcams who thinks he knows that compression = knock with boost. That's not true. It CAN lead to knock, but that doesn't mean it WILL happen. For one thing, they're running race fuel, and the main different between pump gas and race fuel is that it decreases knock. Secondly, as an example, F1 engines have a 17:1 compression ratio, while also running at least 2.5 bar of boost. But, you're the expert.
You can run as much compression as you want, you just have to tune for it. Having dirty injectors that aren't supplying the fuel that the tune demands is the issue here.
Ya bc titan motorsports have no clue what they are talking about. Literally stfu. They explained why it got fucked and had nothing to do with compression. As explained it got hot bc of mis fires bc of the injectors being dirty. Fucking idiot

With FD, wanna look into blueprinting engine(s). That piston irregularity on the corner showing signs of detonation. That was a sharp, thinner spot of the piston as Alberto also mentioned. Sharp edges can develop hot spots leading to increased chances for detonation.
james ackland like alberto was saying the detonation that caused the ring issue was more than likely due to an injector issue during the open house dyno session.
