Just bought and installed a set of these in H4 for my 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50. Perfect fit, beam pattern is identical to the halogen bulb, and much brighter. I ride at night a lot and this is a massive improvement
I purchased the H4/9003 bulbs for my 2014 Honda CRV. Installation was the same as a halogen bulb. I had to do a little tweaking with the dust cover, other than that, it was an easy installation. Excellent beam pattern with crystal clear light output. Worth the $139.00 with a two year warranty.
Chris Nelson's explanation of the various LED light bulbs out there and honest reviews are top notch. Headlight Revolution's videos are the most extensive I have seen and their wealth of knowledge with their testing is second to none. They have earned my business. Thanks for your honest reviews, you helped me make my decision on which LEDs to purchase from Headlight Revolution, (GTR CSP Minis) H11 and 9005.
This guy is so right. 95% of LED headlight bulbs, especially on Amazon, are trash. You might get lucky like I did with a set of Hikaris that work very well, both in brightness and beam pattern on my Honda Fit. However, I went through a lot of hassle returning bulbs from other vendors that just didn't work for shit and produced a terrible, blinding beam pattern. I'm gonna run my Hikaris until they shit the bed, then it's GTR lighting all the way,.
I just placed an order for the 9005 csp bulbs for high beam in my 13 ram. I preferred not modifying my dust cap, so the mini were the way to go. I'm not worried about not being as bright as light a jdm astar 6s, or another super bright led, because my life beam is now a bixenon projector
Clocking LEDs is perhaps the single most important aspect of buying and installing LED bulbs then ? Wish it hadnt taken me most of the day to find this out. I watched one of HRs install videos and had the job done, except he never even mentioned clocking !
Received these last week. Installed in 2018 Sonata Projector headlight. Build quality is superb. got them installed easily. However the brightness is still not up to my needs. it said to be 2500 lumens per bulb but not enough for my projectors. I have to blame also my projector housing of the Hyundai, even with an HID Kit 35W ballast, i got not so good results. I will just use these for my high beams. I ordered the ultra 2's for low beams hoping i'll get better results. On another note, HR customer service is top notch. I bought few items from them before. Perhaps not cheap but its worth the peace of mind. Quality has its price!!!!
That's not something I've taken into account, which is heat-dissipation. Here is a question, what is a good LED bulb w/ Fan for a non-drill installation on a 2019 Toyota 4Runner. Everyone else is blinding me with their LED bulbs on 1990 vehicles, I want to join the club.
“...could LED ever be brighter than HID?” No 🤣 lol. At least not for a while. I’ve seen plenty of LED’s. Compared to my 55w HID’s, _there is no comparison_ 🔥😎🔥
You are totally correct, but the new Ultra 2 LED did actually test brighter in certain applications than the GTR Lighting 5th Gen 55W HID kit! It is crazy how much this technology has improved in the last few years!

If only it didn't cost 120 quid to get them delivered to the UK i would be on these right now. Hmm just checked. That delivery price is from the manufacturer of these bulbs only 45 quid from this website.
What is your experience with vintage headlights? I have tried a couple of different brands of LED's in my 1979 Opel Kadett C, and none have given a usable beam pattern. My car has round Bosch H4 headlights, which have an impeccable beam pattern with standard bulbs. I think the shape of the reflector is designed so that the hotspots are made by the light emitting straight up and down from the bulb, and no LED bulb I know of has a clear line of sight to the LED's in the vertical direction.
Yeah. I don’t think there are many LED’s that could be used in reflector headlights without any problems with beam pattern, especially on older vehicles. I have a 2006 Ford F-150 that comes with stock reflector headlights. I’ve tried different LED’s on them, and on all of them, they just created a lot of glare and didn’t really shine out forward. It uses H13 size bulbs, so it has both low and high beam in one bulb, and the high beams on all of the LED’s sucked, barely better than the stock halogen bulb. So I just decided to go with aftermarket headlights with projector low beams and reflector high beams. And these shine much better than the LED’s in the stock headlights, especially considering that they are using low quality halogen bulbs. I am thinking about getting LED’s for these now.

Something else I am confused with is that the halogen lamp has a small cover or reflector near the low beam filament and is at the bottom position when fitted in the head light so the beam is emitted to the upper part so why when we insert an led bulb we should place it horizontal to emitt the light beam to the sides of the head lamp in a projectile head lamp?
I watched a few of your videos and you mentioned that it isn't generally a good idea to have the driver built into the bulb for thermal management reasons. This design uses a built in driver, does it still manage to dissipate the heat?

I purchased an Explorer Interceptor that did NOT come with fog lights. I just finished installing the fog lights and I would like to install the YELLOW LEDs. Suggestion?
As long as the bulb will fit under the dust cover, you shouldn't have an issue with heat on the inside, as they are designed to function inside a headlight housing with little or no airflow! Hope this helped!😃
I reached out to their company and were unable to give me a real answer when comparing the CSP mini led GTR vs the GTR ultra led 2.0. I can see that their xK lumens is approximately the same, however, the price difference is between 15-25%. Would any of you guys happen to know the difference?
The lumens for those bulbs are nowherre near the same, the CSP Mini is rated at 2500 Lumens, where the Ultra 2.0 is rated at 3900 Lumens! That is a huge difference, on top of that the Ultra 2.0 comes with a lifetime warranty! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help! Have a great day!
Also, what LED would you recommend for 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee without going to HID? I've had some with seemingly great beam pattern, but haven't found anything that shines far enough down the road better than the Sylvania Ultras (although dimmer, I could see farther).
Will the Mini fit into the low beam of a 2018 3500 dodge ram with projector? I have HID's now and I was thinking about getting rid of the wire harness, ballast and all the other things that come with the HID's. Thank you for your reply.

hello, i just bought the gtr lighting csp mini 9004's for my 97 dodge ram 1500 SS/T and they are causing static to my FM radio.... is this normal or is there a fix for this? thanks!
Just went to your site and tried to order a set of GTR CSP mini's for my 2016 4runner. The second screen that pops up says that they are not street legal when used as headlights in a vehicle with a license plate as per DOT directives. Thats where the ordering process stops. Is this true? Thank you! Happy new year!
From what I understand, there were some changes made in DOT regulations regarding LED upgrades. Long story short, any vendor is going to have to put out a disclaimer stating that certain LED upgrades are not street legal for headlight use, and are for fog light use only. That being said, that doesn't mean you can't purchase said LED bulbs and use them in a headlight application. As long as you're ordering the right size, they'll fit in your headlight housing. They simply can't be marketed for headlight use due to legal restrictions.
I just got the CSP mini H7 led from your store and they dont lock into the housing on my Hyundai Tucson. Do they need an adapter? I was going by the plug and play description given here.
Send an email to sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we’ll see what we can do to help out. Most H7 applications don’t need an adapter, Hyundai might be different.
We haven't had that vehicle in for testing yet, but that looks to be a 880 bulb that it takes, and in that case, there is a good chance that the 880 CSP Mini will work for you! I have linked that bulb for you here: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-csp-mini-led-800-880-bulbs/
Hi, can you recommend 4300k H7 Led bulbs that work well in a reflector housing? Don't want the 6000k ones because can't penetrate well in rain. Thanks!
All of the LED bulbs that we have are going to be either 5500K or 6000K. We have HID options that will get you down to that 4300K that you are looking for, otherwise halogens would be your best bet!
@@HeadlightRevolution Will there's a chance that those LEDs available on your website having 4300k colour temperature option in the future? Because no LED in markets that offering this colour with perfect cut-off and I believe a lot of people are looking for this option too.
Unfortunately, most LEDS on the market are in that color range, so I doubt we will be getting anything like that. We do of course have our yellow bulbs, but those would be way too low in color temperature for the application you are looking for.
Is 3000lm per buld brught in foglights ? Want a nice white look to match my hid 6000k but also want really bright fog lights is 3000lm (6000lm pair) bright enough ?
Worth a send! One thing I do want to mention though, is that there is no such thing as a 10000lm LED bulb. That is a very common tactic manufactures use to try to get people to buy their bulbs. If an LED bulb was actually that bright, it would burn out in a matter on minuets regardless of the type of heatsink it has.

How many users are getting busted for using these bulbs contrary to the stated Federal laws prohibiting their use? Does anyone ever talk about that issue? Does Headlight Revolution have a video discussing this point?
Answer 1: No one is getting busted for using these bulbs contrary to the stated Federal laws prohibiting their use. Answer 2: It's a don't ask, don't tell type of situation, just like what the military does with anyone who's gay. Answer 3: They have a legal disclaimer on their website, but everyone just ignores it. To add to the confusion, even the police themselves use LED headlights. (Any vehicle with whitish/blueish colored headlights are LED or HID)
So wait when you buy the headlight bulbs you only get one and not 2 to make a set, then why does it advertise on the website that you get 2 when you order them, that's a bit stupid
These are not street legal, no LED or HID out there is street legal in a halogen application! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!
Sorry to say, that number is most definitely stretched! We actually do our testing in house on many different bulbs, and the brightest that we have found for the LEDs would be the Ultra 2 LEDs!

Not every LED bulb needs a fan to cool efficiently. It's all about the heat sink design and the material that is used. The CSP Mini uses a convection style heat sink, which derived from the GTR Ultra Series bulb, which has proven itself to be extremely effective.

I have watched probably 19 LED videos by you, all great info. I want to change my halogens headlights in my wife's 2019 Cadillac XT5 which I usually drive when we got out. Do you recommend the GTR CSP MIni or the GTR Ultra 2?
Thanks for reaching out, I am happy to help you withthis! I have linked the bulbs that I would rcommend for you below, you can check them out here: www.headlightrevolution.com/9012-Ultra-2.0_2?quantity=1
I purchased an Explorer Interceptor that did NOT come with fog lights. I just finished installing the fog lights and I would like to install the YELLOW LEDs. Suggestion?
Check out the S-V.4 LED bulbs, they come in yellow as well!
Suggestions for a 2003 subaru legacy outback, since it has a locking cover would it cause lights to overheat cause of lack of airflow?
As long as the bulb will fit under the dust cover, you shouldn't have an issue with heat on the inside, as they are designed to function inside a headlight housing with little or no airflow! Hope this helped!😃
Awesome video thanks for sharing. Carl
Thanks for watching!
We love the S-V.4!
Will the Mini fit into the low beam of a 2018 3500 dodge ram with projector? I have HID's now and I was thinking about getting rid of the wire harness, ballast and all the other things that come with the HID's. Thank you for your reply.
It would, but there are better options. See what we recommend here: www.headlightrevolution.com/american_trucks/dodge/ram_09_18
Headlight revolution, please advise a suitable h7 led bulb for the fiat Linea T jet 2012 model.
There are so many varieties available on the market and some of them come with canbus adapter which don't interfere with the car electronics. However very difficult to choose.
Advice would be appreciated
We do not have that vehicle information, so I will need you to let me know what bulb sizes that vehicle takes. When I get that, I will be able to get you a recommendationfor a halognen for street use in that vehicle! We can not recommend HID or LED for street use, so I will not be able to get you a recommendaiotn for those.
Will the SCP mini a good choice for a Kia Sportage 2020 using a HB3 Headlight bulb ?.Will the dust cover fit properly afterwards ?
That is a great option, They are a small enough bulb that your dust cover won't be a problem at all.
I'm looking for LED headlights for my mom's 2012 Toyota 4Runner reflector housing & I've tried different LED headlights it's hard to find one that fits in the low beam mainly. What are the best LED upgrade for this year model 4Runner for Low, High & Fog LED bulds?
Check out the S-V.4s! We think she would love them.
Love the content. How would these compare to the supernova V.4 assuming the application would accept either bulb?
The CSP is more comparable to the SL1, but the CSP is typically 2-2.5 times brighter with great usable beam pattern. The S-v.4 is typically 3-4x brighter with a perfect OEM beam pattern.
@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks for the reply. I love my S-v.4 in my 03 Sierra. Want to upgrade the fogs next to yellow for wet/snow
BPS Lighting has 2 bulbs, the perfect fit and the ultra v series. They are similar shape as the CSP mini's. Wondering how they would stack up.
Havent heard of them or tried them, sounds like a company that has made some knockoff versions of the GTR Lighting bulbs that we sell. Sorry about that!
@@HeadlightRevolution not a problem! I enjoy that you compare lots of cheaper bulbs just to show the difference between properly engineered bulbs vs cheap made ones. I use the CSP Mini in my car's headlights and I couldn't be happier ! It's the only bulb that would fit !
Glad those are working for you, it is sure nice to have a smaller form factor LED for those tight fits! Let us know if you need anything else, we are here to help! Have a great day!
Oh and would you recommend these for use behind fluted lenses (such as a 90s Cadillac)
yes sir.
Would you recommend the CSP Mini for a 2018 Toyota Highlander? My concern is the heat trapped behind the dust cap.
They work very well in those headlights for the high beam.
Hey guys thanks for the videos!.
Can i use the csp mini h13 equivalent on my 2012 ram 2500 (dual beam reflector) without getting a "lamp out" tale tell?
You can totally use those bulbs in that application for an offroad vehicle, but you would need the PWM modules linked here: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-pwm-interface-module-h13-style-connectors/
Have you tested these in a 2020 Chrysler Pacfiica for fog, low, & hi beam
We have not, sorry!
How do these compare to the SL1? The SL1 is higher power than these and are compact as well.
They're about on par with the SL1 as far as brightness and beam pattern goes.
I can't see the orientation in the projectors of my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (stock halogen). Is there another way to check orientation? My wrist already has to do impossible anatomical tricks just to insert any bulb (jeeps suck at this).
What bulbs do you have? Each bulb we offer has a different way to help in situations like these.
What would you guys recommend for led replacements on 2011 Audi A4 with reflector headlights that use H7 bulbs for high beam and also H 7 for low beams? Thanks
Those cars are tricky, email us at sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we will go over a few options with you.

Any recommendations for a 2013 ford escape with halogens?
Are you looking to upgrade to HID or LED
What would you rather have CSP Mini LED or GTR Lighting Ultra 2
The GTR Lighting Ultra 2 bulbs are a lot brighter.
Headlight Revolution thank you !!
Do these bulbs flicker when off on the vauxhall canbus system like other led bulbs?
Unfortunately, we haven't done any testing on Vauxhall's so I can't 100% confirm yes or no.
@@Sagittarius-88 thank you! I appreciate your time!
What to do when you have H15? Want better high beams, this bulb combines my high beams with drl, seems like a stupid bulb to find LED for.
We got you! The S v.4 is available in H15!

Headlight Revolution ok thank you. Sent
Hi! How do the CSP Minis do cooling? I don't see fans or heatsinks.
They are passively cooled and do not use a fan. They are a very efficient bulb!
I can't find any leds that fit into my hyundai elantra gt when I install cannot put dust cover back on any reccommedations

Can y'all also please test Dual beam bulbs

Will the CSP MINI work for a snowmobile with a # 894 bulb?? 2006 Arctic Cat Sabercat..
We haven't had that vehicle in for testing yet, but that looks to be a 880 bulb that it takes, and in that case, there is a good chance that the 880 CSP Mini will work for you! I have linked that bulb for you here: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-csp-mini-led-800-880-bulbs/
thank you, made my choice easier!
Great to hear!
Could you guys do a test on a 2016 honda civic Ex with led upgrade?

@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks for reply!
Any time! Thank you for watching!
Is 3000lm per buld brught in foglights ? Want a nice white look to match my hid 6000k but also want really bright fog lights is 3000lm (6000lm pair) bright enough ?
Yes, 3000lm per bulb will be plenty bright for fog light applications!
@@HeadlightRevolution bought a 10000lm pair from novsight ... hopefully not too much glare and were cheaper then the 6000lm novsight so why not
Worth a send!
@@HeadlightRevolution no the pair is 10000lm 5000lm per bulb with fans so it shouldnt burn out its a 10000lm set

We highly recommend the S-V.4
How will these be in a projector headlight
They will perform decently in that prjector housing, but youwould be much better off with a pair of theUltra 2s or the V4s in that applicaiton!
You get a pair.
How does the CSP compare to the Diode Dynamics H11 SL1 ?
We believe the CSP has the edge, but both solid options!
@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks for replying. CSP has the edge in terms of what?
They never responded to your question I'm very curious as well?
The edge would be no external control box that will take up room inside your headlight housing.
Are these street legal?
These are not street legal, no LED or HID out there is street legal in a halogen application! Let us know if you have any other questions, have a great day!

So No external driver?
Correct! The driver is built in to the bulb!
from where can I buy GTR ultra 2 lighting
We have them on our website. GTR Lighting also has a lot of brick and mortar dealers.
Best fit for 07 trailblazer lt.
Half grill
I would say GTR Ultra 2!
Better than 2 stroke 3.0
It is brighter!
How does it not become hot without a fan?
Not every LED bulb needs a fan to cool efficiently. It's all about the heat sink design and the material that is used. The CSP Mini uses a convection style heat sink, which derived from the GTR Ultra Series bulb, which has proven itself to be extremely effective.
I can't adjust my led bulb when it's installed
You can! It rotates!
Can you supply to the UK
Yes! We ship worldwide daily

Absolutely!
