    Dual nozzle for the win, nothing like spraying rainbows onto the lawn. LOL! Awesome video, nice edits, and great flow!

    PSI out of the pump may not be high enough.
    May need to change to finer droplet spray tips for the 3 spray boom.
    2 looks perfect.
    psi vs flow its a trade off

    I have the 3 nozzle and don’t like it either. Doesn’t have enough pressure with my 4 gal battery sprayer. Based on your vid, it sounds like the 2 nozzle is the way to go. Great vid!

    Three nozzle setups work much better with misting tips due to lack of variable pressure settings beyond their maximum output with the electric pumps. As you go up in spray volume you have to go down in jet orifice sizes.

    This fan nozzle dumps a much higher percent of material 15 degrees either side of the center-line. To get uniform material delivery, overlapping the spray pattern is necessary. I tested the Chapin nozzle, which has an 80 degree pattern, and my test suggests nozzles need to be about 16" apart if on a boom at 21" height. I'm not sure what the Chapin booms use for spacing. My test also suggest 16-17" row spacing if using a single nozzle, rather than the 28" pattern determined in a wet-pattern test. Thanks for doing this test. I'm sure others will find it helpful. czcams.com/video/aXc_XoNU1fM/video.html

    What Teejet nozzles would you recommend for foilar and soil? And is there anyway to do a quick disconnect for the nozzles?

    I imagine the pump isn't putting out enough volume to properly supply 3 nozzles. The 3 nozzle works great on my push sprayer. The 2 nozzle seems to be right on the money for you though! Good stuff man!

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  Před 5 lety

      That's what I figured as well, probably not enough pressure. I'm going to attempt to build my own push sprayer soon. Ps you suck!

    • @ericcharlton311
      @ericcharlton311 Před 2 lety

      The three nozzle needs tips that have less product coming out-it’s like back pressure in a car.

  • @maxoblivion
    @maxoblivion Před 3 lety

    Your second test with the three nozzle was over the same surface wet from the first test. A little hard to see exactly how the second test results compare to the first. I'm guessing the pressure on your sprayer wasn't up to the task with the three nozzle boom. With the two nozzles set 17 inches apart, I would expect 34 inches of width coverage. You got 39 so that was excellent coverage. I'd be interested to see how the Solo two nozzle boom would compare with the coverage. Maybe they'll send you one to test. I just looked at the specs for the 3 nozzle and it's 34 inches long, which would make the three nozzles 17 inches apart, just like with the 2 nozzle boom. If the three nozzle boom is using the same nozzles as the two and the pressure is adequate, you should be getting the same quality performance with the 3 nozzle boom. I would think.

  • @anrivera1975
    @anrivera1975 Před 4 lety

    I believe you can do the same with just one tip, you just need to move left and right. The only advantage I see with the two tips is that you can walk straight without moving the wand, so possibly better control

    Looks to me like your sprayer pump can't keep up with the output flow. 1 nozzle = 48oz. 2 nozzle = 64oz?? shouldn't it be: 2 nozzle 96oz?. 3 nozzle = 65oz/66oz. What??? Your pump just ran out of steam!
