Corey is a legend. I don't know if it's just me, but I watch their performances from around the early 2000s, and he certainly maintained most of his vocal quality.
Can't wait for their new music and see from where does he pull the inspiration for his new lyrics from, now that he's more mature.

Man, what a change, it makes a total difference for a band, after Joey, Sliknot had never been in such an incredible vibe as they are now. You notice this vibration in everyone, this positive energy. Jim himself gave an interview before this show stating that Eloy gave him new energy. And that clearly happened to everyone, I'm very happy for Slipknot and have great expectations for new albums.
The very same happened to Sepultura when Eloy joined them. Their shows and new albums just ramped up a lot with his art.

@@raul6179 I'm pretty sure they stopped playing sic shortly after the Fargo show in 22 but because they are billing knotfest Iowa as a one night only 25th anniversary event I think they'll bring it back for that, because my theory is that they will play self titled in full for that Iowa show. (I'll be their. )

They told him "hey, it's 1999 one now, we are back to the roots, talk about it" but the setlist the same so he says it before playing Psychosocial, like what? Lmao.

So appropriate they brought back the old jumpsuits and masks for the arrival of Eloy. I take that as a tip of the hat to Eloy. This in saying welcome Eloy, we finally have a drummer that can fill Joeys shoes and beyond. That while pioneering new music but still carrying on his legacy. I am confident to say if it were anyone rather than Eloy behind that kit we wouldn’t have seen the return of the OG masks and jumpsuits. As metal heads we know Slipknot is back. So did Joey and the band when bringing Eloy in. Chapter II is going to be phenomenal. To another 20-30+ years boy! SALUTE!

Man... Wild turn of events in the drumming world.
In terms of Slipknot: This is the band that truly got me into metal with their album WANYK. Jay's drumming on that album is what partly inspired me to continue teaching myself how to play drums. But, as I got older and as 5 years went by, I got into more complex music, too, and Eloy became one of my favorite drummers through doing a deep dive and discovering his more prog metal leaning project Casagrande & Hanysz. So it's pretty wild that one of my all-time favorite drummers is now drumming for the band that jumpstarted my love for metal in the first place.
And... In terms of Jay drumming for Suicidal Tendencies: Over the past year or so, I've come to be well acquainted with Ben Weinman, as he lives locally to me and also just recently opened up a local coffee shop. But it's pretty wild that, as I got more into the "weird" side of metal (Car Bomb, Dillinger Escape Plan...) and get to know Ben, he's now playing with the drummer who's partly responsible for my love for metal in the first place. If it weren't for Jay, I'd probably still get to know Ben, but it probably wouldn't be the same degree of awesomeness as it is now.
Well, here in Brasil we know how fucking amazing is Eloy since 2011. He changed everything in Sepultura with a lot of power, technique and musicality. For me, who wins with this moment is Slipknot because Eloy is young and of the most talented drummers of all time (not only metal).

I have loved what each era of drummers have provided for slipknot in their own ways. I’ll always love Joey of course, I’m such a huge fan of Jay, and now seeing what Eloy is bringing is just some new fresh, hard as fuck hitting clean stuff that’s like album tempo. It’s a nice change of pace (literally)
