This show was an integral part of my childhood....no matter what I was dealing with that was challenging, bad or sad, Punky always made me feel better about life in general......I am so happy that Punky is coming back!!!!!!

That cave was the most scarring scene from my childhood, beating out Robert Englund's character in V eating a rat for the first time & Michael Landon turning into a werewolf.

You know crap tv has reached new lows when it drags out third rate comedies to milk the last drop of nostalgia from its sorry fan base. Netflix et al are making desolate, sub par product to satisfy new content demand. It’s a zero-sum game in the long run. You can’t nostalgia nostalgia.
It surprisingly definitely has the same heart as the OG however my only complaint thus far is they did a real disservice to the theme song on account of there isn't one.

If this revival wasn’t talked about so much it would have just been a faint, bygone memory & I wouldn’t have ever rewatched it let alone share it with my younger millennial relatives (which some whom thought it was corny even for the 80s which I disagree 😁).

The new show lost me in about 5 minutes when she tells her 6 or 7 year old son who put on some eye liner that it looks great.
