Game changer: learn to use the pick and roll feature in-game, you hold L1 on the controller and wait for the screen.
If you move to the sides of the court the defense will back off and let you shoot. Or you can use the screen to drive for a dunk or pass.
Also to get more dunks, get more dunk animations in the animation store.

First definetly change your camera to 2K Low like another comment said.
In terms of tips I've got a shortened long-comment version of a beginner's guide for you.
On offense show more patience.
If the opponent scores and you have the ball back let Embiid get to his spot anywhere outside the paint. Pass him the ball and give him 5-10 seconds to do something if he doesn't press □ to force him to shoot or simply ask for the ball back as he will more than likely be doubled by defender of the teammate nearest to him, meaning someone will be wide open. If it's you who is open go ahead and shoot. if it's your teammate press R1 and tap the button that corresponds to your open teammate this will allow you to quick pass specifically to him instead of holding the left stick to the left or right tapping X and having your player passing it to the wrong person. Even If you dont want to run this offense I recommend you still let Embiid or any big men to get below the rim or by the paint to allow him to rebound efficiently. Btw only run this offense if Embiid is in if not run around the three and watch for your teamates running into the paint and quick pass to him how I said and that'll be an easy 2 points. Or just get your own shot and score.
On Defense theres not much you can do 1v1 as your stats are low. Due to your defensive stats being low you'll more often than not be on the corners.This doesn't mean you're useless though as you can still rebound, box out, and play help defense like a good team player should. Before that though let me tell you, dont press left trigger and raise the hand if you're not defending the player with the ball. Matter fact dont even do that if you're not directly in front of the ball handler. Holding left trigger in that situation only tires you out and slows your movement as you're shuffling instead of chasing your opponent. If the player you're guarding gets the ball and you're not directly in front of him you're better off running at him centering yourself then tapping left trigger or just running to the paint to black his shot. Now when you're just standing in the corner on defense make sure to pay attention to the ball handler. If he runs by you always try to tackle him as he'll be distracted by the defender in front of him and vulnerable to your attempt on the ball. This might take practice as you need to learn to time when the ball handler will run by you. You can also choose to chase the ballhandler that ran by you and attempt to block him from behind by pressing 🔺️ as he'll probably shoot. If he doesn't shoot he'll stop and then you can press left trigger to initiate a double team where he'll either lose the ball or you'll force a jump ball. This will leave your man open at the three making though so make sure to do this wisely. If the ballhandler passes to a big man by the paint on your side of the court and the big man begins to bump down low. Go tackle him as he too is distracted by his attempt to gain dominant position and vulnerable to your attempt at the ball. Be careful though as this leads your man being open at the three as well. Any good big man will always make that pass to an open teammate especially if he's right next to him. If the ball handler shoots a three or Jumpshot immediately run to the paint below the rim and press left trigger when the ball hits the rim press 🔺️ to attempt to rebound. You wont always get the rebound or dominant position but you will occupy space in the paint more often than not that means its 2V1, for the ball, 2 being your teammate who will always be there and you the extra rebounder. This will likely lead to your team winning possession. In time you'll be able to learn the ballhandling CPUs mannerism making it easy to tell when itll attempt a three, pass to the big man or drive in. This is especially true if you know the player like Curry and Harden who will always settle for three or Westbrook and Giannis, sometimes LeBron who will always drive.
If you manage to get the rebound quick pass to the farthest small player ahead of you the CPU will know to run to the basket and score an easy lay up or dunk. If only big men are ahead you're better off running to score yourself or stop at the three point and waiting for the big man or anyone to cross the three point line then passing it to them in stride theyll continue running for an easy lay up or dunk as well. If you dont end up with the rebound either call for it immediately and do as I said above or sprint to one of the corners and ask for the ball this will likely result in an open three.
You play very well for 30? Games In to basketball video games I could never score like that when I started. I'm sure you'll adapt more than half what I said in a week of playing. You'll be handing out 40 point routes in no time.

BADGES!! IMPORTANT: Finishing: finishing badges by priority should be in contact finisher (Gold to get dunks easier), then the rest in consistent finisher, then fancy footwork.
Shooting badges: you were definitely right to get range extender hall of fame, then like you said try catch and shoot or deadeye.
Playmaking badges: quick first step is great but your ball control is a little low for tight handles, so just use dimer to help your teammates score and lob city passer to make good alley oops with the big players on your team.
Defensive badges: intimidator is great but put on clamps to stop your opponent and interceptor to get passing steals. (Interceptor on gold gets me at least 5 steals a game.)

Itsyourboytee I mean they have one of the most balanced starting 5’s in the game as far as high rated players and their weakest spot in the starting squad is their SG. Up to you though. I wouldn’t go to the Rockets though unless your guy can play SF. If not, you probably wouldn’t be able to play at the same time as Harden
