I was born in rural China in 1990. When I was a child, my village even lived in the thatched cottage. There was no electricity, no roads, and there could be no television or cars in the village. When it rained, people could only walk out of the village in mud. I don't even remember when it started, and it felt like these asphalt roads and huge bridges suddenly kept appearing, as well as many new houses, cars, and buildings, It feels like having gone through all the industrial revolutions in thirty years.

Your personal experience highlights the incredible transformation that China has undergone in the past few decades. China's rapid development and infrastructure improvements have brought significant changes to both urban and rural areas. The construction of roads, bridges, and buildings, along with the expansion of amenities like electricity and transportation, has had a profound impact on people's lives. It's remarkable to witness the rapid progress and modernization that has taken place in a relatively short span of time.

ARJUN PES Building the bridges like this actually costs A LOT money. The reason Chinese Gov is doing that is to make the poor ppl in southwestern provinces go out easier. It is impossible to transport the agriculture goods outside without a decent road. You see those mountains! As a result, those provinces now have better GDP per capital than South Africa. I know it’s not a big deal to you. But it is a big deal to hundreds of Millions ppl who living in that area. They used to be poverty. China has 1.5 billion ppl to feed. Rising everyone’s life quality is our priority. We are now focus on Eviron Protection as well. I believe we will fix it.

But note we engineers have no nationality - we are just people from the same mold, enhanced by education and training. Historically, there are many brilliant engineers from many different nationalities who achieved greatness.

They were moving the next section of cement Bridge into place before the crane had stabilized and secured itself to the forward pier. You would think that the Yellow crane machine would connect before moving the bridge section into place. I'd love to see how the engineers developed this machine.
