"A vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it." Exactly. Many people don't understand this. No one else cares how much money you put into a project, or time and effort. This is an important lesson in economics. Dippin Diesel gets an "A".
Exactly, ,,all it takes is one person that is willing to pay the price you want ,,so this guy gets an A +
A vehicle has two values what some one is worth selling it for or and what some one is worth paying it for.. Now I am not going to pay big money for a Harley Davidson nor any car that is extremely rusty ..
Haters are going to try to rip you apart on anything they think they can just to get into a pissing contest. Haters think they know more than everyone else and this is never true, otherwise they wouldn't be angry, shit-starting losers. They can't afford anything anyway and that's probably only ONE thing that pisses them off; the reality of the fact that they can't afford shit. So they overcompensate by trying to be a shit-talking know-it-all. It's your property. You sell it for whatever you want. If a potential buyer tries to start lowballing you, kick them to the curb. If a seller respects your price (because it's fair), they'll pay it without whining like a poor little bitch.
I hear this cliche all the time from cheapskates. There are several ways to judge value and several ways to pay. Is A buy here pay here Hyundai worth $150/week? Is a 71 Hemi Cuda worth a million dollars selling it at the flea market? If i steal a 1966 Corvette from a widow for $5k, was it only worth that?
I had a 59 dodge just like that 50 years ago..Man it was a tough built truck, would climb a tree in granny gear..Awesome truck..
Looks like you are making a great trade! Excited to see the progress.
I Love that in The rear fender is a cutout for The spare tire, freaking Love it!!! And for powertrain I would try to keep The chasis and shove new tech powertrain
That straight six has gobs of torque - my 73 Darts slant six would roast its tires! Your going MoPar Crazy now that’s a good thing!
Michael, Since you sound like a Mopar guy i'd suggest you too this channel the guy loves the Slant-Six engines & Makes very good videos about them along with many other respected v8s. czcams.com/channels/9SzQNYLqsPQGY_nbHogDDw.html
I still remember the TV jingles as a truck-crazed little kid -- "Dodge Trucks, the Power Giants -- of '58".
nice man I have 1959 dodge power wagon too and my 1960 dodge w500 power wagon 1 ton truck I might have extra door keep the great work
I'm saying this right from the start. With that truck being so rare, PLEASE do not engine swap it!
That truck will be a fun build. Looking forward to seeing it come together. I must add that the more rare the truck the harder it’s gonna be to find parts. You’re gonna have to go on a wild goose chase for some of the bezels and other stuff that needs replaced. Having said that, that thing is cool!
I can’t get enough of these old truck builds.
The power wagon is badass!!
Too bad that guy bitched out on the deal.
In college, I restored a 1958 Dodge Town Wagon. Drove that sucker from Nevada to Pennsylvania to start my first job. It was a great truck.
I love the ‘floating’ headlights, maybe setting the grille back a little somehow would make it look just a little angrier
Saw the thumbnail. Had to see more. Excellent trade. The 58-60 were great looking Dodge trucks with the super dependable flathead 6. Should get a decent return on the bike. Subbed
Nice score.....looking forward to seeing the truck and what you do with the bike.
Keep up the great videos love them
That 59 Power Wagon is a beast, love it!!
I'm partial to the 46 overt the PG, but that's me, I love my 46 Power wagon.
Good Trade for the Power Giant Transfer case easy to get. On the 46 Caleb needs to grab that. TAKE NOTE, the 46 front design. Looks a bit familiar with what? Well if you guessed 1994 Dodge new Cab Design you get a Gold Star, That's right Dodge went Back Retro to the 46 Body style. True Story!
Those trucks are absolutely awesome! The Power wagons are awesome but the Power giant Power wagons are extremely cool! Im exited to see what you do with it!
This is going to be a really good project, good vibes with this truck, the one you sold I kinda thought a farmer type person would buy it and modify into a fuel and lube type of working truck for various equipment maintenance needs. Congrats on the new truck it will be fun to watch you get this one going. That motorcycle could be worth a few bucks to a Triumph enthusiasts to help finance some of the new builds.
You did great dude!!! Can't wait to see you do up that truck!!😁😁
You done a great job on the dodge farm truck
I Love it! Good Work!! Cummins swap for sure..
Power wagon hell yeah boy
My 1960 d-500 dump truck had the same alum.grille. I thought 59 had a steel grille.Couldve been one of those mid year changes. My 60 had hanging pedals, but I saw a 59 panel with 'floor'pedals. Wonder which kind this one(59)has?
Had a 56 power wagon 1 ton
A very powerful and awesome 4×4
Wish I had kept it .
Had an Insley dragline , had a Chrysler straight 8 in it , that would have been an ideal engine for your truck .
Awesome trade i love them both but that 46 would be sweet
That is the essence of Free Market Capitalism... perfect!!!
This is going to be a awesome build.
If you or Caleb don’t buy that 1946 send me that guys contact info. I’d love to buy it.
Man I like that old power wagon!
I've been looking for a W300 Power Giant for years and just settled for a w200 sweptline!! You have no idea how pissed I am right now.
Good looking truck. My brother has 58 dodge w500 fire truck
I would trade awesome truck . Happy for you . Can't wait for future content.
Looks like a great trade! Blessings
That Power Wagon is the bomb. Only 4:58 in to your video and commenting. Hope you snagged it
That Power Giant is a bucket list Truck!
Either you buy tools and fix it yourself or you pay someone who owns the right tools to fix it. Both cost money, one expands your tool collection and knowledge. the 2cnd fixes the truck without your time. Your doing it right. If you can recover some or all of the tool costs when you sell.....thats hard to beat. Not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself.
The Power Giant looks like a standout truck...you can't go wrong with that...looks wild.
you might try calling vintage power wagons in Fairfield Iowa for parts
That thing looks pretty sweet
Awesome news on your mew to you tank
Did excellent on sale old Dodge farm truck , cash plus get 1959 Dodge Power Wagon Pick Up to with motorcycle too ! Also future projects work on too !
Wow that truck is sweet and the bike is badass with that paint combo. Score👍👍👍👍
I’d buy that 46’ dodge!! I have a 12v waiting for it lol
I've got a 59' w300 I'm looking to put a 12v in, you wouldn't happen to have spare eh?
There's a 69 4x4 Big Block over here in the Northeast I really would like to get it. Is the 440 I'm pretty sure.
That 69 should be a 383 if it is the original engine
Yea just went back to look at it again. It is a 383, thing is as clean as they come. I'd really like to have it.
You are soooooo right! Sub earned Brother I’m gonna be spreading the word bout y’all!
Your right add in your tools all cost this way you never go broke and exactly it's what ever someone may pay try find something that will do what you can with that truck for that price good luck young man
Cool truck and the bike you could get it running and sell easily for a few thousand...
that Power Wagon is bad ass !!
I saw power wagon in the title and clicked I love these older trucks
Great choice ✌🏽
Think you just found a diamond in the ruff! congrads!
Brother that is a awesome truck. Bring on the videos. Start with a will it start?
Nice power wagon, knew a guy who had one of these 25 years ago . After he died don’t know what happened to it . It was a cool truck
Im subscribed and hoping I can watch you build this rare and cool surviver of a truck.
Oh my God wow Take that truck and run what a deal what a truck all man very very nice
I don’t get how he gave you a motorcycle the truck and some cash for one pretty good looked truck I live in Alaska and the bike alone up here would sell for 3000 to 4000 but that a pretty awesome truck good for you man
Is the 46 for sale?????
Good job on the sale and trade, I’m jealous
That thing is sweet. i would love to have it!
yeah...id get that powerwagon its sick!
I like! Congratulacion!
It's too bad Mopar didn't see fit to put the 315 Hemi in the Power Wagons, they might've sold a lot more of em. You could get that in 2wd Dodge trucks in I think it was 56-57.
Nice👍
Sweet deal Great swap
You gonna paint it?
Find a style side bed for the 59 and 46 dodge brother trucks
That power giant would be badass with a p pump swapped 4.5 cummins, G56 trans and NP205 t case.
Slap all the good parts off your ram into the power giant monster project
LOL, the price is what you say it is... The value is what a willing seller and a willing buyer agree to exchange money for and item. Its really that easy.
you can find here a lot of new made parts like sheet metal for this awesome truck!
www.vintagepowerwagons.com/vehicle-type-g-w100-w200-d100-d200
It will be worth the build.
That's a badass truck!!
But don’t get me wrong that power wagon would be bad ass for the channel!
Swap an NP 205 t case into the '59 and be done with it. There's thousands of those cases around and it's a straight gear drive, no chain. Plus you can get them for Dodge or GM for use with the passenger side front axle pumpkin.
Go for the 59
Cost about £500 part load in container no import tax as 2nd hand spares ,
Damn dippin ya did good bud, ya did real good. That’s the kind of truck right there after you get done with it, you probably ain’t gunna want to let it go, shit I know I wouldn’t, that thing is sick.
Truck is sick
I want one ! Those were never released here in Oz
Going to have to come to the States and get one. Even here they are rare. They are in hot demand. Like yourself I would love, love, love to have one.
My grandfather has 4. 1959 dodges trucks just like that one parked behind his house
If memory serves me right , those had an option of an 8ft, 9ft , or 10 ft bed length .
Caleb ought to get that old dodge truck
Why was part 2 took off. I didn't have a chance to watch it
Had to take it done for privacy. It’s back up now
Worth bit them triumph over here in UK
Thats bad ass and it looks to have 3/4 or 1 ton running gears under it already.
Had a 300 emblem on the hood, which would make it a 1-ton. Dodge did put 8-bolt axles on 1/2-tons too back then.
Best of my knowledge it should have six lug wheels on it . not sure what axles corporate or dana?
Need a ferd like a dentside or bump side
$6,200 on the windshield it looks like. I haven't watched to the end. I'd love to know what he gets for it.
I think that's a good trade swap a 4bt Cummins in it clean up the Triumph and ride it its all win for you
I bought a 1962 Dodge panel in"82" It has the same front clip as the 59 to 62 pickups but instead of the flathead 6 in a guy shoved a 69 Plymouth roadrunner drive line in it .383,4speed tranny and posi rear .Scared the shit out of anyone who got in it with me !
Hell yeah brother that is bad to the bone. I don't know about the motorcycle though, I might pass on it if you guys are not motorcycle savvy. But that Dodge looks like it's going to be a great CZcams Project.
That's a bad ass truck!!!
Looks like someone already swapped out the axles but still a nice truck
I hope you keep the giant stock.
59 wagon!!
Sick deal
I was thinking it would be funny if someone stopped and made an offer before you finished getting the "For Sale" text written out!
