Regardless of the outcome, Azucena wins.

Such a fall isnt enough,Tekken characters have withstood or done things that are actually more devastating than a fall,not just devil gene users.
I think he threw him just to mess with him,also Jins ending seems connected to this evil ending and he is alive in that.
To say that Kazuya tried to kill Jin by throwing him off a cliff is to say that Kazuya is an idiot.
I mean,5 year olds Kazuyas body was intact even before the Devil Gene awakened,and obviously Jin is far stronger than kid Kazuya even with the devil gene(which in Tekken 7&8 isnt even a big boost,atleast the normal form).
Jin survived that and Kazuya knows it.

Also, Reina and Lars can both survive being hit by a laser beam from true devil kazuya, so Jin can easily survive a cliff fall.

I like Jins ending better. the fact that he wants to live and that there are people that care for him. all these years Jin has always felt alone because of the Devil Gene. now he knows that he can and is still loved by many. and that even though he has made some terrible decisions, he still deserves a second chance.

Kazuya does this because it's family tradition, the loser must be thrown away, it's the Mishima tradition, it's a form of respect for the loser.
Jin is not dead, but is knocked out, and if this ending is retained, Jin will sport a scar on his chest.
Kazuya has this scar at the hands of Heihachi.
Heihachi has this scar after tekken 1 when he was knocked down by Kazuya.

Also, the „good” ending has also Jun approaching Kazuya’s body so I guess it’s the canon one. I would be pleasantly surprised if Kaz ending was the canon one, but this game has become too shonen and Jin is a fucking shonen protagonist the day he was introduced.

Kazuya's ending makes more sense because of Reina. Reina wants revenge for Kazuya killing Heihachi, her end credits scene doesn't fit with Jins ending because Kazuya's no longer a threat he's been defeated. Her scene fits perfectly with Kazuya's ending because she has a reason why she transformed and Kazuya is still a threat that needs to be eliminated.
@@K-Dash02Jin’s ending still makes sense with Reina in it. Reina is just as power hungry and cunning as her father, and now with her devil form it’s clear that she’s being set up as the primary antagonist of T9.
T9 could potentially be a redemption arc for Kazuya now that he’s lost his Devil Gene , which is further reinforced by the fact that Jun appears at the end near his body. It could also mean that Jin now has to explore the Kazama side of his bloodline, given that there’s no other power that can defeat Reina’s devil form now.
See how Jin transitions from his self taught technique to Mishima Karate style technique hahaha WONDERFUL!!!
I think the developers screwed up on an opportunity to redeem Kazuya i think it would be great to see Jin in his arms about to be thrown off the cliff instead Kazuya looks at Jin and thinks about his and Heihachi's past and decides to break tradition and not throw him off the cliff just lay him down safely and walk away. That would of been cool.

If you look at the credits photos, the world goes to shit as Kazuya still conquers the world without the Devil Gene, hence why Kazuya's ending is called *Despair.*
Compared to Jin's *Hope* ending, where the world begins to rebuild and recover. That's the better ending and the one that is canon sense Kazuya won't let you win so easily.
The devil gene technically doesn't even end in either of the endings because in both of them Reina does her post credit stuff.

It's a family tradition.
I think this is the true ending, but Jin will survive, and come back with a scar on his chest, like Kazuya and like Heihachi.
So there are two endings in Tekken 8:
1) If you win with Jin then, kazuya gets defeated on that double punches and Jin moves away without throwing him off the cliff.
2). If you lose with Jin then, this happens.( Kazuya throws him off the cliff).
It is clear indication that both of them are not dead in Tekken 8 because even if one of them is dead, how can the other ending be possible? Just think!!
Actual Ending: Only kazuya and Jin lose devil powers and one of them gets defeated by other in either way.

He is still a skilled martial artist and he still has the Mishima bloodline. Kind of like how heihachi was able to withstand foes like akuma and devil kazyua. And the lighting that comes out their arms
@@Tuturial464 Heihachi wasn't targeted by the whole world though when he was building his empire. Kazama got support out of fear of his power because he was a legit threat with the Devil State. Without it, Lars and Co. should have been able to beat them easily.

@@newhybrid101 That's true. I'd say Kazuya was definitely as strong as Base Heihachi without his powers but Heihachi didn't form his organization through brute force and fear. He built it through business and used that influence to hunt down demonic creatures like Ogre. I don't think he knew about the main demon Kazuya fused with though. Kazuya has a lot of Jacks and soldiers but without the Devil Power, he can't conquer the world. Imagine how hard it would have been to make an example of New York if they had to do things by hand instead of just blowing it up with magic.
Mishimas are stronger than most other humans. Paul can probably beat Kazuya now though

So basically this ending is a positive message for everyone.
You don't need an overpowered form or any sort of crutch - just believe in yourself and you can achieve anything your heart desires!
Should have done something with Asuka's plot before and during this Harada, she could have sorted Jin out from his stupid world war days and made him more heroic.

The thing I love most about this ending, the faceshot at the end completely captures how Kazuya became his father. He even developed the arch in his eyebrows with the smile.

when i did the playthrough i completed it normally but i never came across this ending until i saw it on the ps5 trophy guide. i did try to get this ending but Jin keeps automically parrying kazuya's attack.

The original was so predictable with the polished hero-Jin winning everything, and his army of friends all behind him forgiving what he did in the past. Seems like humanity is easily forgetting dictators making war and killing thousands. Like Hitler would be a free man and alive after WW2 if he had regretted his sins...

Tbh I don't even care about Jin's death if that would have been the part of the story. Heihachi and Kazuya have been my favs since the beginning of Tekken. Jin's traits and character were super badass in Tekken 6, but then making the main story look like an anime cliche story is just weird. It was all about Heihachi and Kazuya. And to suddenly have Kazuya dead in the main story seems odd. I would rather opt for this ending.

So it’s ambiguous. Did Jin + the power of friendship defeat kazuya, and is kazuya unconscious after their fight? Or is jin unconscious chillin at the bottom of a cliff somewhere about to wake up and take his revenge on kaz in Tekken 9? It could easily go either way. Kazuya and Jin seem dead even in power.
This is the other side of the coin. Secret ending for Kazuya.
