Not even MJ himself could always sing Smooth Criminal like in the record. So he frquently used playback. And I think it wouldn't be a problem if Rodrigo did the same for this song. He is a great performer, but Somoth Criminal is far from beeing the easiest MJ's performance to reproduce.

He is an excellent performer, but he make OVERPLAYBACK. He record his own voice previously, only the ohhhh at 3.52 was direct. That is the reason that he can sing perfectly, without respiratory problems
