I never get to say this but i got to meet Doug in San Antonio on the 3rd this month. He is extremely laid back and very nice. Kind of hard to hate on a man that is almost always smiling. He is a great poker ambassador
He is welcomed at any table.
It's cool he is a nice guy, but I would prefer a player who is more consistent with solid poker playing. Poker does not need an ambassador, and if it did, there are much more competent players than Doug Polk.

Off topic, but all streaming services are garbage. Buy a jailbroken firestick, install the cinema app, & have access to any movie or TV show ever the same day it's released. It's far cheaper overall than paying for monthly subscriptions, & it will turn any TV w/an HDMI connection into a top of the line, perfectly functioning smart-TV. It's 1 of the best investments I've ever made, for real.

@@deckedout6610 that is 💯 and exactly why I posted earlier….. it’s not a big deal if he loses because he is playing with your money if you play in his card room. He has an endless backing and doesn’t play with his own money. So his poker skills have eroded because he’s playing for “clicks “ on the stream and not his rent money like before when it actually mattered to him.

This play makes absolutely no since, when 5 bet shoving and for 5x pot you are basically saying you have AK or worst because Doug would never play AA like this and if he did have them he would have thought a bit more than just rip it after 10 seconds. Alex basically knowing he has the nuts

I honestly don’t think an “owner” should be playing in a cash game at his own club. If he loses , he just takes money from the rake and keeps playing wild till he wins,
……like a casino …he has unlimited money based on the players that he invited to play ,…..if you play in this game without an unlimited budget…you can not win.

I'm not sure I understand your point, is the problem that he has a huge bankroll or that he's a part owner of the room? Even in private/home games you'll see the house participate sometimes, and in this case Doug is only a part-owner and won't be pocketing the rake.
