Here is my entry for round 2 of the WLW2 Contest. The theme of this round was "Make it lesbian". I chose option 1 which was to make a new trailer for a classic "straight" film and make both leads female. Rather than choosing a romantic comedy, I went for my favourite psychological thriller "The Silence of the Lambs".
Here is the summary:
Dr. Hannibal Lecter is a former psychiatrist and incarcerated cannibalistic serial killer. In her mind lies the clue to a ruthless killer nicknamed "Buffalo Bill" who skins her victims. Clarice Starling is a young FBI agent in training. She is clever, meticulous, and brave but also vulnerable. In order to apprehend the killer "Buffalo Bill" she will have to put her trust in someone equally as dangerous. Evil has many faces.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you thought my casting choices were appropriate. I immediately thought of Emily Blunt from Sicario as Clarice Starling once I decided I definitely wanted to make a Silence of the Lambs trailer. I just thought she embodied that same kind of strength and bravery paired with an emotional vulnerability that Jodie Foster had in the original film. And Ruth Wilson's character of Alice from Luther always gave me Hannibal Lecter vibes so she was kind of a no brainer.

Thank you so much. That was my secret plan all along...use all the actresses that Sil would like and hopefully she will give me a good score. 🤣 lol. Just kidding. I honestly think Ruth Wilson would make an amazing Hannibal Lecter if they ever did do a reboot of the franchise with a female Lecter. She does intellectual brilliance with an edge of madness oh so well.
