If you look at the dates of the games on the scoreboard, Luke finished recording the video in exactly a week, which is over 14 games per day, even for a CZcamsr that's some damn dedication, not because the games take a while, but because of the constant agony of defeat in this video

Pro Tip : When faced with the decision[4:23] whether to destroy an enemy's bed or engage them head on. It is often the correct option to disable their method of respawning first rather than mildly inconveniencing them.
I disagree. In this situation, he did not have a bed. He could easily have broken the bed but it would have allowed the other player to kill him. If Luke had a bed, I would agree that breaking their bed would be the better option, but in this situation I would have ran away to regen since it is too risky to either fight them or break the bed. He could also have blocked in which would have prevented the problem of getting hit while breaking the bed.

One bad thing about Minecraft pvp is that if you can hit your opponent up you have the advantage as your range starts at your eyes, meaning if you can keep them there they can’t do anything except in rare cases where they get out of the loop through knockback or lucky escape through movement. It’s very effective and very broken

@@hayhorca915 It is absolutely impossible to escape being juggled by another player’s sword (at least on bedrock) unless you get lucky, as the original comment says. I have lost many a game of Skywars to that. It should definitely come down to gear because at least you can somewhat control that. You can’t control broken combat mechanics.
It has completely turned me off from doing any PVP in Minecraft servers because it just comes down to whoever gets the other in the air first, which admittedly is a skill issue on my part but still. I’ve lost games where I have far superior armor and weapons because they just got me in the air. That is not a skill issue. That is an unfair mechanic.

Tips for next Episode: a good mouse is not everything, you should practice pvp things like W-tapping and probably use a texturepack. But I am really impressed by the way you took all those losses, I would’ve rage quitted a lot of times in that time. Also you should definitely play on 1.8.9 Minecraft Version because Bedwars is made for 1.8.9, this makes pvp (sword combat) a little easier.

Gotta say that when he says for the next 30 minutes you'll be watching me playing Bedwars. I look at how long the video is and it's exactly 30 minutes. That's perfect.
I would highly suggest sprinting while you fight bc you deal more knockback and it can sometimes help with those cases where it seems like you can reach. W tapping also helps, but takes a bit of time to learn. It's best to keep the momentum after you hit someone, instead of backing off after every hit. Also a great bedwars strategy if you don't like melee as much is to just use a knockback stick and use the sprint and w tapping to deal as much knockback as possible. This really helps when you don't want to actually fight someone.
people with forwards momentum have more reach and people with backwards momentum have less reach

As a 500 star bedwars sweat, this was both hilarious and painful to watch, I would recommend always having a finger on W and using a sprint key, it will allow you to hit players much easier and you won't be comboed as much. But still, a very entertaining video would love to see more bedwars content.
My only question to you is how do the good players hit so many wombo combos without getting hit

@Sleeper Cps isn't everything, most people I play with click 20 while I click around 10 but I still manage to win fights with the correct movement, aim, and strafes.

I love how he uses a playstyle that relates to how the game was supposed to be played! Now days, everybody clicks 20cps and can godbridge.
If you are starting playing bedwars you don't get sweaty games. If you have 200 stars, it is normal that everyone in your game knows how to godbridge.

@@kalekroll706 If you are under like 20 star it'll put you in easier games I don't remember what the exact cutoff is, but once I hit like 70 star I started getting a lot more 200-300 star games. but stars are gained just from playtime

The amount of people yelling at Luke to get better at pvp by doing something is unreal
They're all toxic! One of them suggested him cheating by getting a spring on one of his buttons. Than someone told them they make the game not fun. I mean They where not wrong. Upgrading your keyboard just so you can win better. I mean they should play Fortnite if they wanna cheat so much just to win.
@@flareelementalzombiefox873 Even with my fair time playing Minecraft pvp way back in the day including bed wars I feel like the reaching stuff is cheats because hitting that far is either just better connection on their part (Which you can tell either way if they have better connection than you) or just a slight tweak into cheating since if I remember certain cheating clients let you set your range to hit players.

If you want some advice for solo here are steps in order.
Get a wood-wool defense
Rush the base next to you (depends on the map but most of the time its the one to the right/left of you.)
Once you broke the bed of the guy and killed him, go to his diamonds and buy :
if 2 diamonds prot 1
if 3 dias prot 1 + mining fatigue trap
if 4 dias prot 1 + mining fatigue trap + heal pool OR sharpness 1
then you put all your ressources in your enderchest and fall in the void to go back to your base quicker.
After that you go to your diamonds to get sharp or prot if you don't got sharpness AND prot already
then u do whatever ya want, idk get emeralds or rush another guy

@@xawoken4641 im a 576 star solo main, stars dont mean much man. Wood isn't really that good in solo. Doubles though? wood is relatively good because of the faster gens, but in solo its better to just put a layer of wool and go towards the first rush. In solo you more or less have to play hyper aggressive to keep pressure on other players to prevent them from doing things.
Also since wood costs gold, if you get stuck in a sweaty fight first rush, and your opponent doesnt buy wood, they can get iron armor before you, basically giving them a free win against you. If you lose your bed first rush, you also lose the ability to get more than one gap (if that). Or save for iron armor.
@@floppy4everyone913 yeah i know, i usually go for wood to be safe but a sweaty fight in a first rush doesnt happen that often... if i see on statsify or via levelhead that theyre sweaty im gonna try to stack up, but incase something bad happens like i get killed on my bridge wood can save me from losing my bed. If you ever do this kind of thing on hypixel again, please play on 1.8. The experience is so much better and your performance will be improved.

I don't really agree. I pay bedwars in 1.18.2 and so far it's good, except of course, I can't block hit. I tried to play on 1.8.9, but all got messed up. See, I have 2 buttons on the side of the mouse. I use one to get to 9th slot and other to toggle perspective. That got messed up. I pressed one button and it just randomly did what it wanted. Sometimes i got to 9th slot and other times i was falling, tried to get blocks, pressed button to 9th sloth, where i keep blocks, and all I did was just toggle perspective. XD. Also, in 1.8 you can't open inventory, go to item, press a button, like 4, to get item to 4th hotbar slot. At least i couldn't do that, i had to manually drag item in the right place. So I kept playing bedwars and Hypixel in general, on 1.18 and I don't fell like it's a problem.
@@mdragzee282 no idea what the heck your computer's problem is, cause the shift to slot thinv works, and you need to rebind the mouse buttons on your computer. 1.8 runs better and is less buggy.

Honestly he is right about squad beware being less competitive. It's more simple to help teammates by gathering resources or defending the bed. And it puts less pressure on 1 player to succeed.
In general it can be a more reward8ng and co operative experience.
yeah it's more fun and co-operating however I wouldn't say it's as rewarding as solos since solos helps a person get better rapidly unlike relying on teammates in squads

For that "movement" you said about them bridging it is called speed bridging. To do it this is what you do:
Prepare yourself on the edge of the block.
Right Click.
Unshift.
S + A
Shift
*repeat*
Then practise to get better!
There’s also different types of speed bridging as well. Plenty tutorials as well

@@supersamvanm2112 but you're wrong though. 1.8 and earlier was objectively exploitable and extremely wonky. An auto clicker plus a block hit hack made you unstoppable. While 1.9 pvp is slow and far from perfect, at least it's not spam till you win.

One of my favourite things is to use the deployable platforms (on servers with them) to trap people's heads, it's very entertaining and they take time to get out.

Honestly he doesn’t really need to upload. His notableness is so high
I know this is waaay late but the reason u feel so bad with the sword is cuz when you are sprinting, you have more reach. That's why so many times you were seemingly unable to hit them and felt like they had knock back or something. No they were just sprint clicking basically and were always able to hit you before you could get within reach. Its not always how fast you click. It's sprinting, your reach is so much better.

Some tips I have learned for bedwars solos and teams
1. If somebody gets your bed DO NOT follow them out, just stay in your forge, they most likely will knock you off.
2. Try to get some shears so if someone likes to dig into your bed and build around them like a little mole you can break their wool easily.
3. Golden apples are VERY important use them!
4. Try to have a couple swords in your ender chest so you can always grab them.
5. When bridging do not make just a straight line, make a staircase up.
6. Wool is the best so always try to have some, preferably 64.
7. Fireballs are super useful, try to always have one,
These just help me play better

Heres a few tips:
*don't go backwards when fighting someone. Sprint while tapping W.
*Use version 1.8.9 so you won't lag and can blockhit while in pvp.
*protect ya damn bed!
*if ur bad at the game, use protection upgrade rather than anything so they won't kill you easily.
*don't go to mid after you rush someone go back to ur base and get diamonds.
*Practice high cps and better aim
also practice 1.8 PVP.
* and don't get emeralds unless neccesary because there's a hing chance ur gonna lose your bed if ur greedy
Explanation of Sprinting and not going backwards
Because of reach differences.
There is a slight delay that you and your opponent sees when moving. If you move the perspective of yours update faster then the enemy's so if you move towards the enemy fast and the enemy go backwards, the client of yours think the enemy is slightly in front of you. So your game client think that you can hit the enemy when the enemy is slightly away from your reach. But the enemy's client thinks you're a little bit in the back and the opponent is in the back as well. So the reach descreases.
Same for not moving or moving slow. The slow person's client think the faster person is out of your reach But in reality, it's in it.
And of course, lastly, to accomplish all this, don't have a life.
