At the 2015 BladeShow, I spent an hour with Ken Onion and Chris Reeve. Legends. Just the three of us chatting up knives for a solid hour, sharing our pocket carries/EDCs, and overall love of knives. Amazing experience.
Just got my Buckhorn today and the fit and finish on this knife is really good. Beautiful design and the milling on the handle is as good as it gets. Great ergonomics and the designer put a lot of thought into the contours on the handle and the way the knife fits in the hand.
The Ken onion buckhorn is a banger ! I like the milling and full backspacer . Idc if it makes them a little heavier 👍. Thanks for sharing amigo Jared .

So glade I bought this one. Really love it. It’s more premium than you can imagine, in my opinion.
I’m a gun fanatic also so the shotgun style just does it for me. Really captures it, in my opinion.
Those angled thumb studs are old school from the '80s, very similar to those on a few custom Mel Pardue folders I had back then... 👍

I like the Buckhorn. My only negatives about it is, the silly huge choil on the blade and that the blade is bead blasted.

The Buckhorn is very close to being the perfect knife for me but I would consider modding the blade tip to a spearpoint though.
If it was thinner blade stock with a deep hollow or a super thin flat grind it would be perfect.
No biggie, I'll have one of the good regrinders take care of it.
Not gonna be finding this level of machining, texturing, and contouring of 6Al titanium for under $300 again I surmise.
That Buckhorn is gorgeous. It just really does it for me brother not many knives. Have that effect on me like this one got to get my hands on it
I got to handle the Buckhorn down in Atlanta. Can't really say how it cuts but the ergonomics are quite good and the micro milling inside the cubes is what really makes it a beauty. And the detent is pretty light and easy with no blade play and fully centered. I think its fairly priced too, its a premium knife at a premium price.
I almost bought one myself but opted to buy a sword instead and that took a major chunk of my spending money. But I think you will really like it.
It's what I always wanted Kershaw to do with Ken.
They kept pumping out last gen materials and designs.
They should have let him make stuff like this out of Ti a long time ago.

The buckhorn has magnets in the backspacer to help with the detent I believe
I have the Buckhorn and those aren't magnets since they failed my paper clip test. I believe they're pins to clamp down the backspacer to the frame....

It looks like a $400 to $500 hundred knife.
That buck horn handle is very nice. Would have loved a better steel choice. s35vn is just dipping into premium steels. Doesn't match that milling and unique design on the handle. Blade shape is also meh, I could take it or leave it.
