EXPLORING JOSHUA TREE + MOJAVE PRESERVE

In another winter desert adventure James and I are headed to Joshua Tree National Park. It was the first time either of us had been to Joshua Tree. We got there on Friday night well after dark, but we had the light of a near full moon to guide us. The rocks and joshua trees looked spooky and surreal by the moonlight. Shortly after we made camp and had dinner, the moon went down and revealed a glorious view of the milky way and we stayed up watching the sky.
The next day we continued to explore the park and its many different ecosystems and geology. We spent the day in Joshua Tree and decided to spend the night in the Mojave Preserve. We drove there and were treated to a glorious sunset on the way.
