Mercedes EQS and S-class offer level 3 autonomous driving in Germany (at the moment limited to certain situations). I think I've read that they are applying to use this system in California as well.
Window's and dash should be made with the see through tv', being able to fade from real world and game's/movies thus making it also a fully immersive racing sim and theatre experience.

The question is how it drives and how efficient it is. Honda knows how to make good ICE cars, but its two EVs, the Honda e and e:Ny1 (still hate that name), weren't exactly pushing the envelope when it comes to the drivetrain. Sony's engineers do have a lot of experience with battery operated electronic devices and the software for them, so I wonder if they brought something to the table in that regard.
I like the looks though. It's like a futuristic Saab.

Estimated charging power of max 150kW would be way too low for my liking. 250kW is the minimum a mid-size premium sedan should have in 2025 and onwards, at least for the big battery options. Other than that it is a great looking car with good technology.

How does noise canceling affect hearing approaching emergency vehicles
I believe the AI feature in the system knows to listen for those particular sounds and would let them pass through. This would be very similar in principal to how the AI-based Voice Zoom 2 feature essentially works on Sony's current line of 4K TVs where it can isolate certain sounds (human voices in that case) and differentiate them from other sounds.
What if we control the car with the joystick?
Can I use the actual steering wheel to play driving games tho?

nowhere near feasible for market at this time. The average consumer mentality isn't ready for cars that dont need a pilot at all, so why make them yet? Also, the safety needs to be air-tight.

@nadirh902 the claims were made for investors, not the general public. It's not a false claim either. They need more time to develop a technology like that. Current level 4 systems need to be constantly connected to something on par with 5G ultra-wide band to relay real-time travel information, and that kind of network infrastructure isn't even available outside of major cities. Either they wait for the infrastructure to further develop or they build an advanced Ai into the vehicle that functions on its own (that would be extremely expensive to do).
Because it needs to logistics asap. Big companies don't give a f...k about people's mind, the autopilot is huge advantage of cutting staff

Well this guy said level 3 autonomous driving we are not seeing in cars. Well he is wrong and he should correct this part. Level 3 autonomous system is available in Mercedes-Benz S class and EQS in Germany and US’s California

Here's hoping that they scrap the noise cancelling feature. Even in park, I think being aware of your surroundings while in a car is a good thing.
It will most likely have a toggle in its settings for it. If it's an Ai assisted system, you may only have to ask it.
Great for a conference call but yeah we need an on/off switch. By law the cars needs to produce noise to alert pedestrian so definitely for the drivers too

All AI should be device native and not linked to the cloud. That is where all new AI enabled EVs permanently fail. The AI should only be working within a fixed bubble of a few feet around the radius of the driver's seat.

I love tech... I love cars... I just do not know who this vehicle will be for? If you have enough money to afford this vehicle (it will probably be north of 120K USD) and you're not a tech nerd, you will spend that money on a vehicle that's more luxurious and refined in what a car is suppose to be... a car.

seems like a recipe for disaster even if its the passenger is playing the game its too big of a distraction and if you focus for like say 5 seconds alot can go wrong depending on the speed and traffic in the freeway or intersection ; the car looks flimsy built and wont survive a wreck

@@dresdencypher The gauge shows 234mi and it appears to be ~80% full, so assuming a full charge is ~250mi ±
@@GlitterGuru that isn’t a confirmed number as this was a stationary shoe model not one for the roads or reflective of the consumer model that will be available down the road. It very well might have more range when the car is available commercially. Plus the more tech (tv screens etc) will naturally lower range of ev cars so any range will have have to be taken with a grain of salt till we hear more on what its range will be like with all features on and all features off.
@@dresdencypher absolutely, this is still a prototype. It's just interesting they would actively choose to display that range figure, instead of a higher target range. It must have some merit.
@@GlitterGuru I’m assuming this is the flashiest model meant to be the most visually interesting which would make sense with a show car, if like other evs there will be some much more fuel efficient options that don’t have all those bells and whistles
