In the 90s we kids had to wait for chithirai porutkatchi in tamukkam during May to get this kind of entertainment. But these days they are available all year round. We live in Coimbatore and we visit racecourse often where food, play and shopping is unlimited. Me and my husband (both from madurai) always feel jealous about how madurai has no such place for our people especially after the sophisticated revamp of racecourse as part of smart city project. But it looks like teppakulam has huge potential to be such a place. We visited in 2019 one evening but at that time it did not have so many stalls.
