After carrying a Glock over 25 years as a duty weapon I would choose the M&P 2.0 all day every day. I do really like that EO Tech too, nice choice.

The Smith& Wesson M&P 2.0 is made to run and keep going and going and going. You might say it's like the American Glock but with more features right out of the box than what you get with a Glock. I picked up a law enforcement edition not long ago which didn't come with the optic cut, but I paired it with a Pegasus holster which is actually meant to be an appendix carry holster. But I carry it at 3:00 5:00 as well as 12:00 and it's a great holster that is made for pistols with the optics as well. I also picked up and installed the Apex trigger on mine and it's got an amazing trigger pull with a very short reset and it makes accurate. Quick follow-up shots a breeze. I haven't personally experienced what it's like to shoot the metal frame versions of these. The full size versions with the ported barrels, but I've read and heard good things and for the price, if you're more of a metal frame gun kind of guy and you're looking to upgrade at some point, you won't be disappointed. The other good thing about these particular pistols is the aftermarket support here in the states. You're going to find magazines everywhere. You're going to find holsters everywhere because just like clock. It's a very common pistol at least. Like I said here in the United States couple all that with the fact that this gun will run thousands of rounds between cleaning it flawlessly and run. Whether it's been submerged in water, sand, dirt and a little bit of mud, you really can't go wrong. I love my Smith& Wesson and with all the different options they offer you between barrel links ported barrels, full size carry size optics cut not optics cut triggers. You can literally purchase a pistol for every situation from carry to home defense to combat . They even make chassis that you can purchase and turn it into a sub gun or a PDW him because it has such a following stateside that if you picked one up and you didn't like it you wanted to trade it up or sell it. There's a market for it though. I always recommend trying it out first if you can. You can also get a rail mounted compensator for this pistol from Wasatch arms and they also offer a gas pedal and mag extensions up to +7 if you live in a freer state than Illinois can also purchase factory 23 round magazines and add the extensions to those for a 30 round magazine if you so desired. Unfortunately for me I live in Illinois so so I'm stuck with the standard 15 rounders but you get three of them out of the box which should be more than enough to handle any threat you might face on the street. If not, you need more range time.

First gun was a G3 G19 back in 2010. Then shot an M&P Pro a year later and have the gun back to my Dad. Currently carry a Gray Compact with an RMR and Shield Plus with a CT Rad Micro in rotation. My favorite one I own is a Metal with Comp and SCS. My 10mm is coming up in round count and so far so good. I have a 22 compact for my kids. I'm one of those odd people that actually liked the hinged trigger. I use an NSR holster for my IWB, Safariland for my 5" battle belt and a Bravo Concealment for my Shield Plus. Probably have 30 mags floating around.
Almost bought a PDP Pro after we got one in at my FFL. That trigger and grip are tits.

Nice pew pew, I prefer Glocks bc that’s what I started with, and HK is still the best, but S&w is kind of like the #2 compared to G19 think everyone should own one and have it for commonality with others when needed. Think if they came out 1st they’d be in Glocks spot. Solid gun with great texture and cheap with night sights when I bought mine.

Trigger is a whole lot better on M&P , Glock triggers suck

It's lighter...but at the end of the day it's mostly taste or preference. Glock had a better wall, therefore a better duty style trigger for most people practically speaking.

This guy somehow got to 33k subs and can't even get his gun in frame? For these reasons, I'm out.
