@@gvulture1277 everyone is inspired by others, it's not that Deftones wasn't "unique" or creative when they first started, but if you listen to enough Deftones, you obviously can develop a knack for their signature elements in their sound, chunky guitar riffs over Chino's ethereal moans and shrill screams, and then use your production knowledge to re-create that style, and that's what we see in the video.
The voice is so so so different from Chino's, despite the effort and the masterfully crafted cover I dunno, it doesn't really have that oomph Deftones have.
I don't care what song you do when you do it Deftones style. As evidenced by the overwhelming reaction you are filling a void and bringing a new audience to whatever band you emulate. Keep them coming! And thank you for your service

I was a huge fan of Serial Experiments: Lain and I fell in love with this song in 1998(i'm old) because of it being on the SE:L DVD and I bought the CD and also fell in love with the acoustic version and listened to it a ton in the late 90s and early 00's but It's been so long I completely forgot about the song and the band but of course the lyrics all came right back to me immediately but if I wasn't looking through the videos on your channel I may have never listened to this beautiful song ever again, thank you and what you do is amazing!

Sometimes i felt that these type of covers never tried to make it accurate to deftones in some important styles like around the fur, with a lot of aggressiveness, and only focus on the low style of chino's way to sing, but this one actually was cool, the part with the scream makes it more accurate
