Layne doesn't simply rap- the man has *bars* . You should check out another old VoicePlay video with Rachel- I Knew You Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me- to see what I mean. And if you liked this Moana medley, you will definitely appreciate their Little Mermaid Medley. It is pretty much like watching an abbreviated version of the film, and is sheer excellence. Oh, and it's yet *another* collab with Rachel, who really is a perfect Disney princess.

This is way back in 2017 and Geoff had just started growing his hair. Rachel has done eight to ten videos with VoicePlay. She has the perfect Disney Princess voice. Go to their channel and search Rachel Potter check out all the videos that pop up.

Layne arranged this and he is such a genius. Rachel has done a lot with them. If you like the movie, you would love their Little Mermaid Medley featuring her. Other favorites featuring Rachel are The Wicked Medley, The Greatest Showman Medley and Phantom of the Opera. One thing I really love about VoicePlay is the music they cover. Tim Foust could sing Shiny. But would he? That is a better question 😅❤ #VoicePlay

Rachel Potter appeared as Ariel (the Little Mermaid) at the Disney theme park in Florida for several years, so singing a Disney Princess role is nothing new for her. She also did a Little Mermaid Medley with VoicePlay, and it's got some pretty remarkable vocals in it as well!

Thanks for your reaction! Rachel Potter has been a friend of some of the members of Voice Play since they were in high school and has done about 12 covers with them. My favorites with Rachel are "Little Mermaid Medley", "Phantom Of The Opera", and "I Knew You Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me"(mashup that includes rapping from Layne). Rachel worked as a Disney princess at Disney World playing Ariel in the little mermaid show and also as Bella from Beauty And The Beast.

Such a wonderful reaction, I love how into it you both got, fully absorbed in the awesomeness lol Voiceplay's medleys are one of their strongest talents, and Rachel Potter is in many of them! As a follow-up to this one, I highly recommend their Little Mermaid Medley (Geoff is PURPLE!) as well as their cover of Phantom of the Opera with her, both are just absolutely phenomenal And for non-Rachel medleys, you must must MUST check out their Queen in Five Minutes or Boy Bands in Five Minutes, they are some of their best songs in my opinion
And Queen & Boy Bands will both give you a better idea of what Earl can do!

I'll bet a bag of Jelly Babies that this made you want to go rewatch the movie. I also recommend watching Rachel Potter with them in "Phantom Of The Opera," back in VP's Tony Wakim days. It was one of their first "theatrical" videos (in fact I think it may have been THE first) and Rachel shows she could totally sing Christine in it! And Tony makes a good Phantom. And mind you, I don't say that lightly. Having seen Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the musical, I am very picky about my POTO! If someone had told me that the theme song of it could be done A Cappella, I would have thought they were on something.

Rachel played both Ariel and Belle at Disney in Orlando.
I know the recs for the medleys are numerous with her, but her performances with VoicePlay of "I Knew You Were Trouble/ As Long As You Love Me" and "Attention" are stellar.
Also - did you catch Eli doing the bass line during "Shiny"?

HI guys! Eli just lip-sinced the bass for that part. Layne and Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) listened to that part of the bassline separately in their interview (52:00-54:20), Geoff sings it. It worth to watch that interview. It is really good.

If you see The Little Mermaid you'll see that Earl had left the group by then and J.None had joined but Rachel is there as the title role. One she was very familiar with. VoicePlay know exactly how to bring the emotions to a song. Masters of their craft.

It was fun watching you bop along, enjoying the music. But, when they transitioned to the dark side your reactions were perfect. That section always gives me chills and I can never figure out quite why. I know it's the arrangement and production, because I've never seen the movie. I just don't know how they do it! Looking forward to your next one!

For more Rachel Potter (and a treat from Layne) I can highly recommend "I Knew You Were Trouble/As Long As You Love Me", and also "Chandelier", "The Greatest Showman Medley" and "The Phantom of the Opera". I think you haven't seen/heard Tony Wakim in action. He has a great voice too. A sadly overlooked piece is "Once upon a dream".

Rachel Potter done a few like The Phantom of the Opera. Little Mermaid Medley and Wicked Medley she was with Emoni Wilkins. Also she was in Just Sing but lots people are in that. In The Phantom of the Opera was Tony singing the main part with her. Also Tony if want see Road Trip which has Earl in it too.
