I really enjoy the Ford Escape videos, all the small modifications you are doing to turn a dated SUV into a modern and comfortable daily are really interesting to watch, I might even do a few of them on my own car. Have you considered painting the bumpers in body color? I reckon that will look really cool especially once the car is lowered. Keep it up dude👍

Don't throw away the old antenna, keep to fish wire through the wire wall, my old one comes in hand for that all the time, long enough to poke through and hit the floor on most vehicles while still having in the engine bay.

It’s not like you have a deadline. That truck is obviously going to be driven next season not this one. Anyway, just my thoughts. I believe in him and think he should too.

I wish there was a detailed video about how you installed the radio, especially the relay part. For the other ford escape people
yes true, I own the same car and have the same radio.and thus the same problem
You will need to wire a relay into the system. To wire a relay you will need to hook a ignition switch(power when key on) power source to the coil side of the relay then hook the other side of the coil side of the relay to the BK/PK wire. Then on the switch side of the relay hook a power source to the switch side of the relay and the other side of the switch to the reverse camera ACC wire. Then the ground side of the camera to a known good ground. Now when power is supplied to the coil and when you go to reverse ground is supplied to the other side of the coil by the BK/PK wire this creates a magnetic field which then pulls the switch side of the relay closed and this allows power to now flow to the camera ACC.
I put one in my 07 it has the same body style and the camera I have I wired to my reverse light with out a relay and mine works I got a reverse camera from Walmart

Yo Gingium, my friend's escape had that stalling problem. We replaced the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which is like a $70 part from Advance and takes five minutes to replace. He hasn't had the problem since. It didn't have a check engine light for it either, I had to make an educated guess. Saving you TONS of time trying to diagnose that problem.

I have a 2007 Mercury Mariner Premier, doing some updates to my car, the lady who previously owned it only put 67K miles on it, the only issue with my Mariner was the hood paint is messed up, but just got the fixed and it’s basically a brand new car, getting one of the super nice pioneer radios for it next month, bought led integrated headlight housings for it and has the windows tinted a little darker than factory, and welp….it’s basically a brand new car from 2007 now! I have a 2020 Honda Pilot too but I prefer the Mariner! I LOVE the 1st gen Mariners and their gorgeous waterfall grills

Relays are an electromagnetic switch. That's really all they are. Plug in a power supply to the electromagnet's coil, plug in the car's mains supply, plug in the output, and it should do its thing.
Obviously without 2 springs, it still does a pshh, the sutututu is actually compressor surge.
That means that if you want to avoid compressor surge, you won't ever have that noise.

Normally if your stoned your head will buzz and your eyes get really blurry so you can't see. It also makes it hard to think straight. I know this because of the fact that I get high alot.

For the lady's SUV - It's a Ford. That code is likely a mis-read. Run some Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner. 8/10 times it fixes it. The other 2 times it's an O2 Sensor issue.
I would have liked to see how much grinding you had to do. Thats what I was looking to see. And some radio's allow to change the battery input for back up cameras. Love the obd2 sensor in that radio though. Thanks

Alot of people take paint trying to remove the rear ones, you need a hood to get rid of the front badge.
Inspired me to try and "mod" my 1st gen escape. Put a short ram on it, muffler delete, basically all of the cheap mods that any car person would do to their 1st car. Looking to get a gti next
Can you show how to connect the wires for the stereo. Video is kinda useless without that.
You didn't have to grind because it's a large double din, the ford escape just has a smaller opening, to fit any double din in an escape you'll have to grind it, I've done it as well.
I would most definitely check all your vacuum hoses the 04 escape had the factory hoses rotted every where plus check the emissions tube on the firewall side of the engine it like to rot holes in the elbow and or get gooey soft and suck itself shut.
What mounting plates did you use for the radio??

For your exhaust issue, if you've got 3 inches to clear the steering shaft, just do like Rolls-Royce did for the 1934 V12 Phantom III, a direct down facing 90 degree bend for each port leading to a single pipe tucked against the head, running forward until you meet the radiator, a 90 degree bend facing down and you're done !

just to show you that bigger isn't always better (engine in the drift truck)which is why LS swap is so popular, it should of been a drag truck instead of a drift truck.

I am getting 33 - 35 mpg with my Mazda 3 2.3l hatchback because of replacing 02 sensors, I needed 4 new ignition coils was causing 02 sensor issues and so will intake manifold gaskets needing to be replaced. I have ngk no gap spark plugs. Have also replaced maf sensor. Idler pulley. A/C compressor.
I have also done some of my own exhaust work, it helps with relieving pressure.
If anyone needs help with understanding how to install a/c belt let me know. It is very easy, even though it is stretch belt. than you would think.
I spent half hour still couldn't get a screw to fit. When I thought I found 1 it would just fall in after I'd screwed it all the way in
