You missed the Harlene dungarees from Merchant & Mills 😕. I think this kind of post is really useful.

Oh I loved my overalls I wore to high school back in the 70's. Even though I am now in my early 60's I really want to make the McCalls version. I think the details are amazing and not quite so work wear looking. Maybe sewn in a baby cord instead of denim. And of course the blouse just makes the outfit.

Oh man, I already have too many projects on the go. But now I want to make dungarees! The Burnside Bibs one has caught my attention.

Really enjoy your videos. The Heyday dungarees were the indie pattern I tried last spring, and I was amazed at how detailed the instructions were, which made sewing them so easy. I've since made at least 12 pairs for both my daughters, and some of their friends, plus three pairs of the children's version!

I find these types of videos are so helpful Kate as it saves a lot of time searching for a particular item of clothing I want to sew 🧵✂️

I can really recommend the Constance dungarees as a classic pattern. I made mine a few weeks ago as a summers pair in pale 8oz denim and cropped but now need a proper winter pair. Geri in Stitches has a great review with a few adjustments like lining the bibs and extra topstitching that I wouldn't have thought of. Love all the other great patterns. Loads of variation and might have to add a couple more to my stash.

I've been wanting to make the Constance dungarees and Geri's review made me a little scared too! 😂 I appreciated that she was honest about their difficulty level. Did you find the instructions to be clear? I think I may finally just go ahead and give it a go.

@@ShutUpKristen I think if you plan what you are going to do and in what order, using the instructions and Geri's review, they will come together well. The seam allowance with Fibre Mood is always noted in the instructions where it shows which piece is which or on the PDF patterns and is normally 1cm so it's good to have those to refer to if it gets a bit confusing in the written instructions. I've made quite a few Fibre Mood patterns now so am more familiar with they way they do things. Plan before you sew and you will come away with a lovely pair of dungarees.

I loved dungarees in the 70th very much, so I did the Greta dungarees. Even with the sew along I got dissapointed in terms of sewing and later in fit, so I said goodbye to the idea to wear dungas again.

I'm a great fan and just knew there had to be more recent videos....so I had a dig and it may be that they are new....but these are not available if you review the list of your videos by date. You need to search for it under collection....it might change though since they are new. Thanks for this! I just love the patterns and your presentation. Is there documentation somewhere for the Zadie dress hack?

I would not recommend the Yanta overalls to a beginner. Attaching the straps in the back is very fiddly. In fact, when I make them again I am going to change it altogether. I am and experienced seamstress (55 years of teaching and sewing for hire. )

Hi Kate and fellow sewists, I'm looking for a dungaree style dress with an A-line skirt. Most patterns I've come across have more of a straight skirt. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you 💜

I enjoyed this video, thank you. I was just about to buy a pattern when I saw your "diversity and inclusivity" stuff. What disturbed me most was the easy manner you wiped out boys and girls. I don't mind boys and girls wearing whichever garment they want, but they're still boys and girls, not small people or whatever "inclusive" language you might choose. I'm sad you can't seem to be inclusive without this insufferable and artificial virtue signalling to the woke or without eradicating the quite lovely - and natural - differences between the two sexes.

  • @cornbreadfedkirkpatrick9647

I would like to be the first to say I'm not going to waste my money on watching the movie Spencer to me it's a slap in the face not only to the Spencer family and to her, and whoever made should be hissed at, the trailer has made her look weak and she wasn't :(
