Today I am making home decor DIY using paper mache clay! I used it to create faux vintage pottery on a vase and bowls. I have been wanting to try this for a while and love how versatile this material is. Should I explore this further?

If anyone is on the fence about hellofresh, I get it & I can honestly say it's like eating restaurant quality food. There are things I think there's no way this will be good & it's awesome. Their ground pork meatloaf was fantastic. Id hv never thought of trying it otherwise.
شكرآ جزيلا حبيبي على مجهوداتكم سلامي من المغرب🌹 🇲🇦 👍
I think you produce some of your best work whenever you say " I have no idea what I'm doing" lol
Lol, so true!!
Literally never considered just covering an existing object with paper mache. Thanks for the video!
I loved all three but the fact that you took string and added it to the first pot, brilliant ❤
Its absolutely crazy you did this episode and it aired today, I literally spent hours over the weekend watching videos on paper mache! Thank you for showing what you came up with, they all look great!!!
Anything you make is a work of art. You are tasteful and creative to the highest level, and your modesty is perfect.
I've just started getting into paper mache and paper mache clay and I love it. For anyone who isn't into making their own, I saw that Hobby Lobby has fast drying paper mache, ready made on clearance.
Yes, more!!
Please do more with paper clay! Thank you! These are beautiful! Especially the little handled vase! ❤️❤️
You have such skills! It encourages me to try. 🤗 I would enjoy seeing more paper mache.
These are beautiful.
Try spreading jam or frosting with you fingers, then smooth with a knife. It worked good. 🧁😁 These are beautiful. 🤟🏼🤍
Jorge, your mix of great content with your relaxing voice and music is my go-to when I need a break from everyday life.
Thank you.
Each piece is classic but I think the bowl maybe my favorite ( i love the dark color of it )
🌹
So guys instead of joint compound you can use wall.putty and instead of flour you can use white cement
I love this type of thing.
In the past, I've been inspired by youtuber "Where the Gnomes Are", search "how to make a hollow long from foil and paper clay". Love the technique that could be applied to whatever a person's personal style is. She's a lovely and inspiring person, just as Jorge is.
I also love to get technique ideas from arts and crafts people who make beautiful things from areas with the least access to expensive supplies. I am always humbled and inspired.
I just found your video, Jorge, and this is now my new favorite channel! Great ideas for paper mache clay - I'll be sure to recommend you to my subscribers. 😊
Yes! Do more papier-mâché clay videos! These projects were fantastic! The footer silver bowl was my favorite, but I also loved the shorter bowl that you added the red rope to. I would be proud to display those in my home. Well done! 🙌🏻
Love them all. Fingers is always good to spread with, moisten hand to smooth it out.
Can't get over your raw natural talent. So wish you were my little brother - mí hermanito.
Love all of them!! 👏 bravo
I put my clay in a plastic bowl with lid in the fridge. It lasts several days. If you use more glue than joint compound it is smoother and if you use outdoor wood glue it water proofs your piece.
I liked all three but my favorite would be the last one.
Absolutely gorgeous😍 DIY
I love all three pieces! This recipe looks like a really good one to work with. It seemed to go on smoother than others I've seen. Can't wait to try it! As always, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful and unique ideas.
These vessels are so beautiful. Definitely show us more. Thank you.
Yes, Gebsom is also called plaster of Paris ❤
Realmente hermosas esas creaciones, un estilo rústico pero elegante a la vez. Felicitaciones desde CHILE 🇨🇱❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This video came in right on time. I have a couple of lamps I want to transform and I'm so happy to have your tips here.
Edit: after watching the full video, this is truly inspiring. Great job on everything, as usual. I love it!
I loved these. My favorite is a toss between the large one and the jute wrapped one. Yes, please explore more. The possibilities are endless!
Take a bow👏
I love the vase with the Jute around it - I am going to try something similar with my plastic plant pots....
The vase with the handles... OMG I love it!!!
Fantastic! Jute rope was a great idea, I wonder if you could have darkened it a bit before applying it. They all look amazing. And yes, I love the paper mache explorations.
1-Love the one with jute rope!!
2-the darker grey-ish bowl
3- the white bowl.
You’re awesome with your creativity.
Gorgeous!!!!
Oh that bowl is gorgeous! so sophisticated looking
Excellent, creating new life to refurbish these old items. I'm amazed how the paper maché adhered to these surfaces without applying primer fist!
Johnny is fab I’ve watched her for yrs
Wow! love them all. the first bowl looked great white also and black. You are very talented!!!
Wonderful!
Love, love, love how these turned out. They end up looking so expensive! A great way to dupe the beautiful pottery from all the high end stores that can cost hundreds of dollars for one piece. Great work!
The Bowls! Just FABULOUS! Loved the vase too just minus the twine. Yes the paper mache clay is phenomenal.
Love these!, So creative. And who doesn't love papier mache :-) If you want a quick and easy fix for glue gun burns, pick up a cheap pack of rubber finger cones from a stationery store. I use them all the time with hot glue and it's really cut down on the pain! 😁
These are great! I've been wanting to try her recipe but have been shy. But, your idea to start with a container makes it feel less challenging.
I remember seeing pottery with the jute (or yarn) at my grandmother's house and while watching you make this I wondered if it was for protection (so the pottery did not scratch the table for example).
I found your video searching 'jute clay and glue paper mache' I'm looking for ideas for a hostess gift
and I believe your vase with jute on the outside is perfect!
Jorge, I've been missing you! You didn't disappoint with this latest tutorial! I loved all the projects equally! Thank you!
All three are amazing!!! I love how they each looked the same until you used different colors to get three totally custom looks ❤
I like the white one where you used the red rope to create interest. I do, however think that the eggs you put in to show it off are just swallowed up in it. If you really want to keep them in there, put in some wadded up newspaper to raise the level of the container, then add something like a moss or some dried material and then the eggs. I like it so much that I am going to make one like it!
You're channel is my new go to. Everything you do seems to be my style.
Waao I LIKED ALL THE BASES,SPECIALLY THE FIRST one
All 3 are awesome. I love watching your process with cement as well. ❤😊 keep creating
Love! Love ! Love! 🙌🏼
Love them all! I use twine/ rope om the spines of large coffee table books that I either chalk paint or tissue paper cover and then paint.
Just please keep doing this 🙏 you are so talented.
Phenomenal beautiful pieces. Favorite: 1st item
The glass pitcher was definitely my favorite!!! But I would happily display any of them
Absolutely loved these projects! I think the vase with the twine was my favorite! Thank you for all your inspiration!
it's so beautiful made, I do like all of them!
I'm excited to try this! I finally got around to upcycling a painted vessel from Goodwill. I LOVE it. You inspired me to add pottery to my home decor but not paying astronomical prices. Thanks for being amazing
Thank you Jorge, I think they turned very good, yes I am interested in more videos with this material, since is very snowy and cold where I live, the cements proyects for me are on hold until weather permitted to do it outside .I enjoy that you experimenting as you go, I do that even I watch all kind of videos and follow directions 🙄, Cheers Chico!
Those are incredible !
Love, love, and love 🥰
Just an idea. I put the mache over a balloon, and then paint it with cement. I did that with clay as well.
Loved all three but especially the bowl that previously had the words on the rim. Just gorgeous! Thank you.
Fantastic. Truly you have inspired me to get some “new” things on my home.
Love love love it
These turned out amazing!! Love your style and your videos!
Absolutely fabuuuulous, love them all.
Love them! Especially the glass jug rhat you added braided rope to! Gorgeous!
Jonni's recipe works good. Lol as typing that he mentions her anyhow. I got into this style of clay by watching her videos, recommended by Adam Savage on the Tested Channel. I also use Jonni's hot clue recipe for regular paper mache.
One huge tip folks. Don't rinse your stuff off in the sink if you do this. Joint compound can get stuck in your pipes and set up, then you have to call a plumber. If you do this rinse your stuff off outside then bring it inside and clean it.
The first one is my favourite, might try to make something like myself 👍
Love the bowl.
Such a great job! Yes, please do more.
i would love to see your take on a DIY free standing coat rack.
Love all three!
Love the ‘Cute Lil Vase’!
I love all 3 of them! The one that you put string on came out great!
Love watching craft your designs. You have a great talent!
Love at all them. Excellent work Jorge
Love the look! I’ll have to try this . Thanks, Jorge ☺️
Wow, I’m very inspired! Loved them all!
The 3 of them are amazing ❤
Amazing idea, I love it!
Love them all!!! Yes, explore more paper mache.
All 3 pieces turned out really well. I didn't like the black on the bowl until you finished it and it looked great! I am too much of a perfectionist and would have done more sanding but it wasn't needed, perfection is not always perfect. You have some great ideas! Thank you for sharing!
So nice really love the last two
Always amazing diys!
Beautiful wow !!!
These are amazing!
I loved all three projects
Thanks for sharing, my favorite it is the small vase .
I love all of your projects!
All of these are just stunning! I have to try this now!!!
Love it! You are so inspiring!
All of them were great. 💕
Win, win, win love them
Jorge, use a palette knife to spread your materials. Amazon sell sets in different sizes and shapes.
Oh my goodness I’m in love with all of them.. they all looks so aged and organic and beautiful to.. thanks Jorge for sharing ❤
You are amazing. I like the dark bowl on the table...it is stunning. But I love the glass bowl makeover.
Love it !! Good job
