"I just made the best song in chrome music labs"

- I kept noticing a pattern in different videos with pieces that they made in chrome music labs.
First off, some pieces have this same chord progression, all throughout the piece. It doesn't even change a bit! I would recommend to try thinking of different progressions that you can use throughout your piece. This can really help it have more variety.
Second, the melody isn't very well thought out. It's also quite boring once you listen to different pieces and hear the same arpeggios and scales that are supposed to sound "cool". I think that instead of just having those arpeggios and scales, you should have more lyrical and flowing melodies. Melodies that can be sung, melodies that can be understood by even the most unexperienced music lovers. However, the arpeggios and scales are really quite a handy-dandy tool for creating melodies. Just try not to overuse them, like what I did in the video.
Third, the patterns are the same all throughout the piece. Let's say that we have some sort of staccato pattern, just like what you'll hear in the piano of "All my fellas". Make sure not to be boring and daft, and use it in every part of the piece. You should try some other things, like try making it smooth, rigid, sad, happy, or you can even change the genre into classical, jazz, or even reggae!
Lastly, I want you all to expand your limits. Try out something new, not just the same ol' "boss music 8-bit sick game arpeggio song" thing. Try different genres!
I am terribly sorry if I made you think that I hate your songs. In fact, I really like them! All you need to do is to think more creatively. It's okay if you wish to keep the style that you want, but you should always go beyond your limit and try new things. (I'm just a novice in music theory as well, so we are on the same page here.) - Hudba
hola
i work with musescore
hola
Adios
bro it said "translate to english" underneath. I pressed it. It translated it into the word HOUR. tf dude
@@Simin-qb7xz hello
hour
Man just wrote a Pokémon town theme 💀
exactly what i was thinking. sounded like it came straight out of pokemon
Could also fit in cave story
Exactly what I was thinking
If this guy gets a more “professional” music creation software he isn’t just going to cook, he’s going to be the actual fire (if that makes any sense)
musescore 4: hi there
i think he will be overwhelmed by the options
ı made masterpieces in music lab its better
suddenly, something called DAW: _hello in C major chord_
it doesnt make any sense
gotta say I seriously respect the profile pic, the most valid use of alto clef I've seen in a long time
bro yeaah XD
i tried writing a quartet once and i kept forgetting it was alto and not treble lol
@@anidiot4702 omg I used to do that all the time and get confused about why it didn't sound right 💀
What even is an alto clef
@@MrBrineplays_ if you look at the 'B' in the profile picture- it's in-between treble and bass clef, and the point in the middle points to middle C. Most instruments don't really use it but the viola does since it fits its range of notes better.
the people commenting "this is so good! you would be a pro on some other music software!" didnt read the description
💀
frankly i agree but this is good for like a short intro to a song lmao or some backing track
He said that this song is used as a help of giving inspiration and creating a bigger variety of chrome music lab songs because a lot of ppl make the same samey stuff over and over again. Thus, the reason why he made the video in the first place.
I love how it both sounds like video game music and classical music at the same time
Video game music sounds a lot like classical stuff if you get rid of the synths
An answer to the description: making more interesting music is often quite hard, since people don't expect it, and won't like it as much as they are used to
I thank you for your comment. I agree how making new interesting music, or coming up with interesting ideas in general is quite difficult. It actually took me a long time to come up with this piece to be honest, but try experimenting with different chords, motifs, and other stuff. Maybe that spark of creativity will enter your mind and you can create something fun. But you can choose to pave your own way, keep creating the music that you think you and your audience would enjoy. The unexpectedness is the fun part too! In Haydn's 94th Symphony, specifically in the 2nd movement, there's this loud G chord played in fortissimo after a calm pianissimo lullaby theme, which is unexpected and humorous, but I also understand that this unexpectedness could also disturb the movement of the piece so maybe you could also be orderly and have a neat and tidy piece without all these unexpected stuff. However, Beethoven's 9th symphony was full of unexpected twists and turns that were not recommended at the time, and everybody loved it. So maybe some have different preferences than others.
Anyway, thank you again for this comment.
Title doesn't lie. This shit is good.
Lol
BAD WORD DETECTED!!!! GET OUT OF CZcams!!!!!!!!!
You didn't read the description.
@@Lovelyuniverse1 its just him explaining the other flaws of songs made in chrome music labs as he says he is doing at the very top of the description and basically says at the bottom to be more creative
This guy doesn't need an oscar, he needs a better music making program
who wants me to make this in musescore and give him the credit for it
@@HarimauYap yeah that would be sick
guys are we joking here?
how da hell is musescore any better? lol
This sounds amazing for a light hearted Pokemon town ngl
Gabriel Ultrakill has been trapped inside Chrome Music Lab and subsequently joined the circus
Sounds straight out of cave story
someone read my thoughts. Like mimiga village
my man made a pokemon gen 2 town theme
this screams cave story
and I am all here for it
something keeps me crying while hearing this
it feels sad and happy at the same time and also a bit nostalgic
ive been getting into making chrome lab music but it tends to be a short edgy 8 bit video game tune in a minor key than this music theory nerd carnival music so im already impressed that its supposedly a common theme that people are taking it this seriously writing music with a complex chord progression, even if it doesnt change throughout the piece. like when i just wanna mess around on a website like this i just wanna make something cute and catchy like i dont feel compelled at all to use more than 2 chords
this just sounds like an opening on the title screen for a pokemon game on the gameboy
"Make a song with drums or you're straight"
Taeyai:
This should be at the end of an emotional game. I’d cry to be honest
Love the counterpoint in the piece, it’s just like super early Pokémon stuff, super unique. Amazing!
ngl I wasn't expecting much, but this is actually really good
you would hear this in a carnival ngl
everyone, including me thought that you made this 😭
everyone, including you and me thought i made this too 🤯🤯🤯
@@musicperson101 no way, we thought the same thing!
wait til this guy gets a hold of fl studio or ableton🙏🙏
That was awesome! Sorta gave off circus vibes
That progression is so beautiful
lol yea i think the biggest problem is that these types of songs dont have anything memorable to them. No meoldy you could be humming after the songs over.
Yea there's so many different melodies that it's not really possible to catch some in our memory, but that does not mean this music has nothing memorable to them, i think i will remember the idea of this music more than the notes and that's ok. Some passage are incredible so ye, i'll come back in a few day
It's really quite easy to get people to remember your melodies. Let's say you have a melody that lasts 8 bars long. You can try to repeat that melody throughout the whole piece with bits of variation, or you can take parts of that melody and use it as some sort of foundation for different melodies, so it can become much more memorable. You can also change the rhythm but keep the contour, or change the contour but keep the rhythm. You can do what ever you want as long as the melody will be memorable :)
This is beyond impressive!! I used to use this website a lot and it's what got me into music composition.
not the higher notes peaking my headphones
this is phenomenal! Great job, man :)
This is genuinely amazing
i kind of recognized some songs from my childhood 😭
I am obsessed with the melody and the beat
hey! this is awesome! i wasn't expecting much when i read the title but you really blew me away with your knowledge on music theory! good job! mind if i remix your work? :)
go ahead! I'd like to see different variations and remixes on my piece, thank you for asking
When your reminders and notifications are low-key fire 🔥:
❎Task marked as incomplete
If you look closely and have some very creative imagination, you can see something like a pixelated game map that the notes make (at least that's what i saw)
this slaps
Why is this song so emotional for me
this sounds good
DAWG REMOVE THOSE QUOTATION MARKS IN THE TITLE. This is definitively THE BEST song made in chrome music lab. 🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣💯💯💯
beatles ass harmony
I would play whatever JRPG for the NES this would have been for. Seriously good talent!
i love how you used syncopation when building up the intro making it hard to distinguish the groove. nice job!
very nice
he ain't lying
I’m speechless after that
This video is meant to show what not to do and it's still great.
Goes to show its the artist not the medium
Hell yeah
the first half reminds me of "The Fire Is Gone" from the Ultrakill OST
Nice🔥🔥🔥
bro really made a whole sound track for a game. damn
this is actually insane, props to you
i weep
THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! (It reminds me of the Beatles)
This should be in a video game
Sick
Wait until he finds out about song maker plus
bro this is amazing
if this guy and ixam2 do a collab we finna get the best cooking duo in chrome music lab history 🙏🔥
read the description
He made it as bad as he can intentionally but still made a banger
buddy you need to get off chrome music lab and onto the professional scene
Moonlight sonata 4th movement
Very Nice! the number of key changes goes wild though
how are there so many measures?
there's no key changes though
“One can do better.”
Nah this is straight out of cave story. It’s gotta be. No way you didn’t right the soundtrack for that game
Hey if you can send me the link I can make a full version with drums and everything I am good at that kind of stuff.
epiphany in 6/8

i love it too!!! love from the philippines
@@paul-oh5xi i love you r comment

i wish i knew mechanics of music so i could make something like this one day UPD: just released my first demo of a song on song maker
Sounds like Cave Story
You cooked
0:34 sounds like Pluto projector
somebody listened to hawaii part ii
Carnival ahh music
Wait, did they actually increase the size limit or is that “modded”…?
1:27 you got franced
That was great actually
this sounds like some undertale track
can i use this?
can i use this song in a video with credit?
AAAAAAAAAAHHH I love dissonances X(
you can accent notes on this? i never knew that
now use beepbox
For me, it's just that I've only ever used the mobile version of music lab. The mobile version only allows you to use 16 bars so that's why the chord progression is the same thing for the whole track.
you can change it i think
edit: no you're right nvm i checked
that hu tao's face is so missplaced, it doesn't even look like her. Each individual facial part looks good, but it's not in the correct placement
her forehead is bigger than dilucs 💀💀💀
OMG THIS IS SO UNDERATED
how did you make it longer?
how do you get the song to be so frickin long? and how do you get it to have that many different notes? (I mean pitches)
Underrated
How did you get so many bars?
Link please?
How did you get music lab to have more than 3 octaves and 16 measures
inspect
Cave story beat
I forget there’s ways to make a song longer than 30 seconds
How??? Please tell me araggehahsjdgiabsoq
@@mari_xq9916 you can increase beats per bar and split them. There’s also just another website that’s song maker plus. I haven’t made anything on there yet, but I thought I should mention it anyways if u want to check it out :]
How is the song so long
Since when could you have more than 3 octaves and 16 bars 😢
Sonic.exe
and catholic too
they use a bit
1:01 yeahh like that cadence too
This could play in the credits of Omori and I wouldn't be fazed
