Jorge Luis actually your wrong. You eliminate timeing cuz while your on deck you watch pitcher and get the timing for when you step with the pitcher so there is no waiting. Balance if you step with the weight on the inside of your feet you can't be off balance. It's the evolution of hitting. Pitchers throw harder hitters have to adjust
Tyler Covalt, sure, thats the theory, but only a few can do it right. I can tell you all about how to throw a sinker, that wont make you a good pitcher.
I practice this swing and studying his videos and games for 2 weeks! Just practice swings and occasionally on my daughters tee box with a wiffleball. Went to the cage last night @ my former clubhouse and the first ball I swung at I cracked it 94! After that I couldn’t hit a damn thing! That shit works but it’s a lot of memory and the timing on the leg pull, chin down, bat up, elbow out, no head movement, and forcing shoulders to flow into it after the step with the one handed release; is tough af! But he’s perfected it and it’s programmed into his mental/ muscle memory! I also feel like I’m swinging @ even when it’s a terrible pitch! Oh and for those of you who are trying it if the pitcher throws a burner you have to wait for your front foot comes back down from the initial rev before you can get out of the way! I know that sounds crazy and stupid on my part but for those who are trying this swing coming from your typical orthodox normal swing it’s tough! But man when you do it right and connect with a 90 it’s literally like hitting a bouncy ball; effortlessly! Great job JD

Donaldson is a big believer in swinging up. Swing up allows you to stay on plane with the pitch longer, allowing flexibility in timing
