That's the first thing I noticed about this in the thumbnail. Fender owner them last and stopped production. Someone else bought the name and instead of making them here in the States they're making them in Indonesia to the same specs as some of the the original models. I seriously got my eyes on a double cut similar to a Les Paul Junior with one P90. I always thought Hamer was a "budget" guitar. I saw a German band called "The Gas" with two lead guitarists, one was playing a double cut, two humbucker Hamer. He was getting some awesome tone out of that thing. Deep set necks, these things are kicking Gibson's ass. There are sceptics that think only the older USA made models are acceptable. The same kind of people who think Epiphone can't make anything as good as Gibson. Carolyn's guitar sounds freaking awesome. But her finger picking skills could make anything sound good.

The Hamer "Prototype" - killer guitar!
