Do you know how to change the brightness of the PS4 screen
@@exposingsamsoor4204 i dont believe you can do this in your system settings, only HDR brightness and in game brightness in game menus. You would have to change the brightness on your tv or monitor
I use a standard ps4, for me there is no option to reduce the video clip quality at the same place where i can shorten the clip length. Am i missing something or is this option located somewherr else?

This helped a lot man a specially the one to enable internet while in rest mode that was bugging me out 👍🏽

Yeah, I did this about a year ago myself and was really impressed at how much longer my controller lasted before dying. It at least added 5 hours extra onto the battery life which is insane. I'm really happy to know that I was able to help you out! Thanks so much for the support :)

The third one is very useful. Right now I’m getting notifications that my mic is being connected without it being used then discounted. It’s been happening for days now and currently the invisible mic connected is still connected. I’m not sure if I should be worried or what but it’s a bit annoying

Thanks for the zoom tip,but I notice that even on the dashboard once you use the zoom option by pressing square and the ps button I can't take screenshots, the photo go back to default instead of zoom,do you know any workaround around this???
Sadly, whilst zoomed in you may not be able to take screenshots. Whenever you zoom in whilst recording, or save gameplay where you did zoom in, the zoom is also not present and there isnt a direct fix for this. HOWEVER, you can open up sharefactory, or install it if you do not have it installed (it's free), and then open the photo editor and select the image you took when you were zoomed in. Then using sharefactory you can zoom into that image, and then save the image to your capture gallery to be able to do whatever you wanted with, just as though you were zoomed in when you took it. Hope this helps :D

Boost mode is great while in game, but it makes going through the menus so slow if you have a game tuning in the background

9 is true. PNG is better, but keep in mind they take up something like 5 times as much space. If you're on ps4 pro, PNG 4k screenshots can take up to 10MB I believe. That shit adds up especially with trophy screenshots.
But if you need to take a screenshot for something specific, PNG is definitely recommended
Yeah thats why in my how to save storage space video I advise to turn of auto screenshots and change and lower the format and resolution.
I was using shareplay with my friend and I was giving him a base tour in Minecraft, I used the zoom feature and he thought I was using the OptiFine (this mod has a zoom feature) mod for Minecraft Java Edition.

If I change the resolution (setting 8) to lowest, how much will it impact the gameplay? How much better does it make it? (PS4 pro)

Hey just wanted to ask: my tv’s max resolution is 4K ultra 60hz, but when I go to PlayStation setting it says the max is 1080p? Please help me
To get a 2160p output you need to be using a PS4 Pro. If you are using a PS4 Pro but the option is greyed out, make sure you are using a HDMI cable that can support a 4K 60HZ output, so ideally HDMI 2.0 or 2.1.
In addition to...make sure you have it plugged into the correct hdmi input on you TV set. Most brands have just one single dedicated 4K port.
@@4SUBLIME2O that hasn't been true for a long time. Unless you have one of the early 4k TVs all inputs support 4k60. Any tv with hdr will have all hdmi 2.0 inputs
You need a ps4 pro, a 4k TV, and a hdmi 2.0 cable OR the cable that came with the ps4 pro. Also if you use an hdmi switcher, it must support 4k60, and also the connecting cables must both be hdmi 2.0

@novaFN is the menu not there at all to be able to change length or is it just the resolution that's not there? If you cant find it or for some reason it's been removed from the standard PS4, the other 15 settings in this video will still help you out for sure! 😊👍

Looking at this: manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/vcsettings.html it seems to be a setting only available on "some" versions of the PS4, so I assume that is the PS4 slim and PS4 pro given your PS4 doesn't have the option. This is something I was not aware of, and something I should have made clear in the video. Sorry about that! The other settings (apart from 16) should work perfectly well! :D

2:35 completely false. Video clip settings have nothing to do with the ps4s performance. All video capture and screenshots are handled by an entirely different CPU and memory module so that game performance is not affected.
You've made an assumption there that you wouldn't have if you had done your research but this has been known since before the ps4 launched.
The funny thing is ps4s back up CPU has as much dedicated RAM as the ps3s CPU had (256 MB) lol
Though the PS4 DOES have dedicated hardware to aid video capture, whilst it is being captured, parts of the file is kept in RAM whilst other parts have to be being wrote directly to the system's HDD, consequently putting stress on the main system CPU to write the temporary files to the main HDD, as well as meaning pop in etc may be more obvious in games if the HDD is currently writing other data as well. In addition to this, the increased stress on the capture hardware does create heat, possibly resulting in thermal throttling in other components in some rare cases. Changing the length means what can be stored in RAM from the constant recording is a significantly higher percentage than if you need to keep it on the hour limit, so less (if any) needs to always be being wrote directly to the system's main hard drive. I *did* do the research and this is why I came to these conclusions, even though initially you may not think it has a dramatic effect. It certainly gives a very minor improvement.
@@Octorious citation needed. Not to mention I think you're ignoring the fact that 2 CPU cores are always reserved for the operating system and same with the HDD. The rest of the systems resources are used for games and game capture does not affect that because that's the way it was designed. Game capture performance would sooner be affected before game performance. The console isn't made by idiots after all.
Additional heat is true but it's so minuscule compared to the heat generated by the main APU that there's almost no way to prove that it actually affects performance
