Nothing will ever beat the 2005 one. That was literally such an amazing game to me, and it brings back such awesome memories. That game got me into driving/racing games

For me specifically, this game was what got me into racing games, and just video games in general, and it isn’t that I would only pick this game over other nfs games, I’d pick it over most games in general.
I prefer 2005 becuase it had the story,the feels of driving a car would sound like and the best cop chases
You could also customize your cars to your own taste. The lack of that killed 2012 for me.

@@zesped1259 why its too drifty, 2005 feels closest to actual racing, u dont just drift all the curves in a race 2005 had the most realistic driving cars imo, 2012 felt like drift mania, no actual grip on those tires, everysingle left or right almost put u in a drift, thats just awfull..
2005 had those blurr effect when speeding, so it really feels faster. While 2012 feels slower, even if you are fast it looks slow as hell.

2005's driving physics are much better! The 2012 version feels and looks like it's skating on ice
2005 is considered God Teir but 2012 was so fun and I get nostalgia over it now. It was the Burnout Paradise sequel we wanted and I love it for that. Playing Hot Pursuit Remastered so hopefully this is next.

2005 vs 2012 i prefer 2005. Even though i wanted 2005 to br remastered, playing 2012 version i don't have the same fun i had when i play 2005.

Fun Facts, Nfs 2012 supposed to have a story next to Carbon, but EA do not have exact amount of money to create the game
There are even unreleased prototype build of NFS MW 2012 now has surrounding on youtube uploaded by someone who have ps3 dev kit and found the build, and restore it, see not only storyline even it has hud and UI that are far better then final released

MW12 is actually a Burnout game that was rebranded as NFSMW at the last minute.

If you noticed, you can hear a slight supercharger whine in the cars in NFSMW 2012. Even though the cars are naturally aspirated or turbocharged. TBH I kind of like it, but it's not realistic. But the cars that don't have the supercharger whine (like the Nissan GTR for example), they sound very accurate. And what I love about NFSMW 2012 is that its engine sounds are more accurate than some of the NFS today, I would say NFS 2015 had the second-best engine sounds after NFSMW2012. But honestly, I cant complain about that supercharger whine.
It's not a supercharge whine it's straight cut gearbox whining. But hey it's better in nfs mw 12' then shift 2 whines

Bmw sound in 2005 is priceless, it keeps building up tension as it speeds up, it's unrealistic, but unique! 2012 sounds like a real Bmw v6, the realism is superb!

2005 had a great story, a great map and overall it was better in graphics compared to its time of release, 2005 was revolutionary for when it came out, while 2012 was just your generic AAA cop chase game. I also liked how you actually had to buy cars, upgrades etc. in 2005, and so how the map didn't immediately unlock itself. It was those features that made the game so special, and they still make it worthwhile to come back in 2022, 17 years later.
2005 the car handling was better. I crashed less. I like the fact that the faster you go the surroundings would blur more apart from the road to help you focus on it. 2012 road surroundings don't blur n the check point issue I miss it at times

This is my childhood game, I remembered my papa playing this game, and he thought me how to play the game, and I got hooked to it. Gosh I love this game.
I love nfs 2005 but I was very little playing it so I don't remember much of the story or anything but from what I remember I loved it, but 2012 just hits different for me cause I was a bit older and I actually paid attention to the game.

Recently installed the 2005 version with full redux mod which makes it look as good as the 2012 version. Then I installed the 2012 version (complete edition with the NFS13.exe) installed reshade, then spent about 40 minutes adding new tone maps, sharpened textures, less "fog", more intense illumination and it is looking as good as NFS 2016 now but has a day/night cycle which I miss in NFS 2016. Right now I think it's the best of all including 2005, 2016 and Heat. Next up I'll be attempting to improve the 2020 Hot Pursuit remaster. I have high hopes as I feel the devs were lazy and it can look way crisper. Anyone running the 2012 CE edition with the NFS13.exe that would like to try my Reshade preset, just let me know, it's small and easy for me to share (3MB with latest Reshade and my personal preset).
I also Reshaded Rivals and while one of the most shallow games in the series, it looks like a modern game engine now, nice eye candy and lots of wet windscreen splashes hit by god-rays running down the ocean coast 🔥

TBH, while a lot of people claim that NFS Undercover killed the series, I'd say that Hot Pursuit 2010 was the responsible for the Brake to Drift physics in the current NFS games, except that Hot Pursuit 2010 was way better than Most Wanted 2012, in my opinion

You can feel the joy of handling a car in 2005. It was speedy, faster and every push to arrows has a meaning. Handling and drift were epic. After Most Wanted NFS games started to be GTA. It's a tragedy what happens to NFS. Realism crushed NFS games. Why did I install Carbon Underground and Most Wanted in 2021? Because they are better than any racing game today.

if they did the graphics remake from the 2012 variant but kept the gameplay the same with 2005 but with a few bug fixes then yes it would have been a good game but I prefer the 2005 version for its gameplay and the 2012 For its graphics
my opinion and comparison.
mw2012: the graphics are great, it has no story mode and tuning, no blacklist, the soundtrack is great, the handling is ok, good super sports cars, the cops AI is average but the swat truck is a super beast, a crash camera almost long that you give advantage to other opponents and very obnoxious, the multiplayer is one of the best and very vicious, ¿burnout physics?.
mw2005: the graphics are excellent in the era of ps2 xbox and pc, the blacklist is very good, good street and sports cars, good tuning, a super excelent campaign, the handling is excellent, the cops AI is very high and very difficult to escape from the cops unless you hide in a good hiding place, a very good soundtrack.

The most important thing you forgot is that 2005 version cars is more customizable compared to 2012

2005 was created by EA Blackbox and it was basically a gameplay and a connected story of NFS Underground genre but with cops while the 2012 was a burnout style game. MW2012 could be respected like MW2005 only if it had a sequel to it like NFS Carbon for the old one.
IMO, NFS Heat could be a Carbon like game or a sequel to MW2012. 🤣

For me it is simple, it all depends on the memories that the game brings you, if you played it as a child, obviously you will prefer the 2005 version. I played it when I was growing up and I didn't like it at all, I prefer Underground 2, and now, Watching the video, I'm going to test 2012, which at first glance I like a lot more in terms of graphics and handling, in addition to the new cars that are beautiful. When I played 2005 there was something that bothered me a lot, and it was that when I released the accelerator, the car stopped almost completely, the effect was too exaggerated, added to that yellowish tone and almost white in many places, it made me leave it to less than half the game
05 is just more gritty which makes it look better in my opinion, I like the darkness covering the city makes you feel like you need to speed out of the ghetto.

I hope will be going to be a remastered for MW2012 to celebrate 10th anniversary at least 2022 or not. Port on PS5,Xbox series S/X, Nintendo Switch and PC. Cross platform support.

I remember when my cousin bought a disc of the 2005 version for his pc but he let me download it on my laptop so we used to sit next to each other and each one would play on his own pc at the same time at my grandma’s house we used to go there and spend the whole day on the weekends every week and every Saturday he used to sleep over at my house and the next I sleep I’ve rat his house and we play nfs but then I got it for my 360 and so did he so we can replay the game cuz we didn’t want to repeat it on our laptops
