    I literally laugh every time someone hands me a “black card” as a server.
    They’re totally banking off the Amex Black Card name. I’ve had a fellow server say wow this is that famous black card. I told her it wasn’t because it wasn’t Amex.

      As an Amex card holder, I have the platinum and the gold, I laugh at people paying with platinum just to flex. And for skipping 4x points on dining had they pay with gold card

    Years ago when I had to declare bankruptcy and then had bad credit for a while (it's excellent now), I was receiving offers in the mail for credit cards with exorbitant fees like the ones in this video, and each time l was extremely tempted to send them back a blank application form with a note that said, "You have GOT to be kidding me!" 😄😂😂

      With predatory cards you only need to fill inn your signature, they are nice people who will fill in the rest. And you will be accepted.

    In Japan, Amex Platinum's annual fee is 143,000 JPY which translates roughly to 1,100 USD… and that's why I'm keeping my gold card😢

      cash app card 2.50 atm fee + atm owner fee. except with direct deposits over $300, then its free. edit: free atm withdrawals with direct deposits only for the month.

    Thanks for talking about those awful Mastercard Black cards, was hoping you’d make a video on them. Got a mailer advertisement from them and immediately shredded it and chucked it in the trash after reading. Total gimmick card for people who just want to look like they have a fancy card.

    Years ago I had really bad credit and opened a fingerhut account because it was one of the few places that would accept me. The prices were so bad I never bought anything which ultimately helped my credit since the revolving account was always in good standing. 😅

    $1100 paid to build your credit. And I considered my $300 security deposit for my discover secured as a $300 cost to build credit…but I got that back.

    Some of the people who apply for those credit cards are desperate. They are in a position where they have to pay those banks to rebuild their credit again. I feel lucky to be the position where I don’t have to use those cards. 🎉🎉🎉

    This was hilarious for me, when i first saw the article, i automaticlly suspected that LC Collection would be on there and start the vid and Bang, there it is! I was thrilled when i got my pre-qualified offer in the mail but on further review realized it was a no-go lol!

    I'll never get the metal card fascination. Most of the time you're adding the card to a virtual wallet on your phone and leaving the card home. The few people who physically carry the card around are signifcantly more likely to swipe/tap cards themselves as opposed to handing it to someone else.
    Really the only reason to want a plastic card is for longevity of the card, but no one should be signing up for a card solely because it's metal.

      It’s true. I got the gold card because it’s flashy but I realize that nine times out of 10 I’m using Apple Pay, ordering online and I really go out to eat. The only time end up handing it over is if I stay at a hotel, which is only a few times a year . Otherwise I’m literally only flexing to myself.😂

    The big red flag with the black card is that it has "BLACK CARD" plastered across the front in the most basic looking font ever 😂 Its so ridiculous. I would say its obvious what they're doing, but people are actually falling for this scam and signing up for this card! Its crazy.

    premier should have been number 1. They take FOREVER to take your payment after you make it, up to 2 weeks, they then show a late payment on your credit report. THEN.... they take another 2 weeks to take that balance off of your account!!!! This card is 100% garbage and I will be canceling today!

      Great news that you are improving! Stay with it youll get there! In 2019 my TU was 567. Now my TU Is 789 and my EQ Is 797. Its a long road and requires a lot of discipline but its totally worth it, youlll see

    You can get a secured card to build your credit where you pay a $500 down payment you get back with 10% less interest with no fee. It's crazy to buy a card to use on one site that charges double the price to start and 10% higher interest than a credit building card.

    If you are a veteran of immediate family member you can look into getting a Navy federal credit card and bank account. Low to no fees. Good deal for someone trying to get credit or repair credit

    Let's say, hypothetically, someone has some of these terrible cards with zero balances but they are paying the yearly fees, when is the best time to get rid of the card so the closed account won't hurt your credit?

      Great questions! So typically as long as it's not your oldest ever card you should be good. If you score still isn't so high take a look at secured and student cards.

    Pretty sure the only reason that the premier bankcard is 36.00% interest is military members that are on active duty, all debt must be reduced to a maximum36.00% interest, no matter what it is, while they’re on duty, I think.

    I think I'll just keep getting Credit cards through credit unions. The usual offer comparable and even better rates, as well as generous credit limit increases.

      If you have things pop up often get a 0% APR intro offer card each year so if anything pops up boom your good.

    May I interest you in an Oops All Fees card? The annual fee is just your credit limit, with a monthly fee thats 10% of your credit limit, 5% fee to pay your bill. We'll give you a forced credit increase every 6 months with a 200% fee. You can initiate a cancel anytime with a 500% fee.

    I have a video request.
    I see almost all vendors offer affirm payments. And the face value it looks like a great option. For example something I saw was $1999
    When you click learn more it shows 3,6, and 12 month payment options resulting in 666.66, 333.33, and 166.67 monthly payments respectively and they all show $0 interest.
    Typically when it looks good to be true so I would love a video on this topic. If that’s actually true how does this affirm stay relevant n business at all?? I’ve never used this service so I’m assuming it’s a scam and would love to know how this works

      Affirm collects a fee from the merchants that offer their services, so when an item is bought using affirm, affirm takes a percentage off the total sale before giving the rest of it to the merchant. I believe that they can also charge interest and other fees if the balance isn't paid off as agreed.

      Both, if you're talking about how it affects your credit score. The 50% util on the first card will pull your score down, even though your overall 14% util is OK but not optimal.
