FILM DESCRIPTION:
Young Keda tries to survive alone in the wilderness after he's left for dead during his first hunt with his Cro-Magnon tribe. He soon forms an unlikely alliance with a lone wolf that was abandoned by its pack. Facing overwhelming odds and nonstop danger, Keda and the wolf must now trek through a harsh and unforgiving landscape to make it home before winter.

The transition between cgi and real wolf is actually pretty good, you could still tell it's cgi but you still get that sense of how real they got it close to the real one.

Yes, this is all about the domestication of the wolves now dogs.
All you people think this movie is so great and none of it is scientifically accurate at all. I was reading a article in scientific America and scientists literally raise wolves and dogs from pups to 10 years later and they can't be domesticated. Scientists have no idea how our ancestors pulled this off. The studies that seem to work were a lot more brutal for the wolves. They think generations of wolves were tied up to guard their camps. To move them they would've had to beat and tied up. They would've been stuck in one place guarding a camp until the camp moved their entire for life generations.
And the first tug of war, fetch, help to hunt, and can't forget about the first shared meal.

It was never recorded in English but only with English subtitles as they used ancient language to make it more believable.
Chris that’s actually impressive. I thought they just got some little known language.
