    What a wonderful garden!!! I love the different layers to the heights of the various trees and plants. I grew up in a northern latitude forested area and this definitely conveys the same kind of feeling when I look at it. Also, I found it interesting that the courtyard area looked larger *after* it was populated with trees and such! Seeing the trees, planted out by the front entrance, over the tops of the roofs also continued that "surrounded by forest" feeling. Well done!!!

      @@JapaneseGardenTV That's great! I find myself wondering if the owner will opt to leave some dried, fallen leaves (after Autumn and into the next Spring) on the ground, such as is natural within a forest. It might be possible without it looking messy and unkempt. But I don't know for sure....

    • @allie1953
      @allie1953 Před rokem

      I think, with the way they maintain the garden each year, with trimming back, perhaps no need to remove anything. I have watched some of JGTV's "annual maintenance" videos for some gardens and was interested in how they took out branches- some to reduce height and some to reduce density- and never seemed to have to remove anything. Japanese gardening tradition is truly amazing, isn't it?
