The looks stand out the most and the exhaust sounds mean when you really get on it. Love pulling up to someone in a Tesla and revving the engine. Finally the absolute best asset for this car is knowing that the handling is on par with MUCH more expensive cars like Porsches and Vettes. Much better than Mustangs, Audis etc.
Hey brother, I just purchased a manual 23’ 2SS1LE and if you’re still wondering why your seat programming doesn’t work some of the time I figured it out. You have to set your parking brake and it will work 100% of the time if you do not set the parking brake your seat adjustment comfort entry and exit will not work. The parking brake Hass to be set.
I got my 2SS 1LE a week ago today, and I love it! I have a little over 400 miles on it right now, and I have been averaging 26 mpg. Now most of my driving has been 80% open road, 20% city. I have never had a car that has HUD. So that would have to be my favorite thing about my 1LE right now.
Mike, you are spot on about the blind spot and how much of a difference the camera makes. I went from a 2017 Camaro RS 50th Anniversary edition (also 6th gen but no camera) to the 2023 2SS 1LE with the camera and my biggest gripe about the Camaro experience is gone! One "mod" maybe to consider is hardwire your radar detector into the car's electrical system and get a proper rearview mirror mount for it vs. the suction cups and that really long wire hanging down from your windshield 😀
With the seats you have to shut off the vehicle a certain way when you shut before you shut the vehicle set the parking brake first then turned a vehicle off it goes to exit or seat position... When you start the vehicle push the clutch in or press start button once seat will always go to number one seat position.... I originally had the same problem but you have to do a sequence as long as you do the sequence every time it works correctly every time....
I have an LT1. I get 30+ MPG Hwy, same engine. That's one of my favorite things, having driven GA to FL and GA to Tail of the Dragon, TN. I've done 400 miles on a tank, then got nervous and filled it with 80 miles left. City is around 15-19 MPG. I love the way it sounds and looks, and the driving inputs are so precise. But when you push on the gas, the Panther comes out! Problems: 1. Sometimes, my trunk doesn't want to open with the button on the back. 2. Android Auto drops too randomly. 3. There's times when I'm not able to drive it; sleep, work, etc...

i really love the 1le wheels. i don't see a need to change them. chevy gives you almost all that you need in this car. of course there are always things to do if you wish but thats comes down to what you desire and your budget. i wish those 1le wheels were an option on other trim levels.
Love your Content Mike. The funny thing is when I bought my 2004 GTO I believe it had worse field of vision than your Camaro and it doesn't have Rear view camera. I haven't had any of the negatives you mentioned in regards to the memory seating or infotainment. The only thing I don't care for on the infotainment side is that the system won't let you browse your library when the car is moving, at least when playing from a USB drive. I know it's a safety feature, but it means that I'm stuck playing the same album continuously until I come to a stop. I have a 2022 2SS 1LE, and only have 1,502 miles on her(just past the break-in), but so far I'm averaging a little over 18 mpg, with almost no highway driving. I'm leaving Monday morning with it to drive to Utah for a driving vacation (I'm in northwestern Pennsylvania), so we'll see how the mileage, and the paint, hold up over the course of the trip.
That’s great. I haven’t used a USB drive in mine, just Apple CarPlay. It allows me to do anything I want while drive. Yeah, I’m not sure why my gas mileage is as low as it is, but it will be interesting to see what would happen if I took a long enough highway drive to use the whole tank. I bought a 2014 Camaro SS with the 1SS package. I converted everything to what the 2SS has except I kept the color-matched spoiler and I gave it the ZL1 facelift. I love the OEM wheels your car came with! 😄

Interesting on the mpg's I'm averaging 16mpg for the 18500 miles I've had my ZL1 1LE. My trips are mostly city not much highway. I actually like the stock wheels. I really need to get my dang Z06 allocation because I don't know how much longer I can keep the mod bug at bay with the ZL1. I heard a sick cammed ZL1 in our buisness park the other day. I haven't experienced the memory seat issue on mine. Only issue i've had with my infotainment is with apple car play. Sometimes it doesn't want to link up correctly.
Interesting, I’ll have to see what happens next time I take a longer drive on the highway. I’ll fill up and reset everything and see what I can get the mileage up to. I do have wheels coming but I do like the stock wheels as well. I hear that, but that ZL1 is amazing as it sets too. Thank you for your feedback as usual Jeff. 😊
I have a 2018 2SS 1LE Red Hot.Thank you for making this video and featuring yours. I honestly think under $100k I haven't been in a more planted versatile car. It has personality for days. Is capable of seemingly defying physics on curves and takes bumps like they aren't there at speed. I've never even thought about visibility issues when driving to be honest. But when back parking or just parking in general I just take it very very slow. The only mods I may do is cam, heads and headers. I do think from factory low end torque takes a bit to come on but that also keeps from losing traction. The car seems like it hides its speed as I'll be doing 40 and it feels like 15mph or 90 and it feels like 40mph. Most people I take in it are not even phased it's doing 100 and only then they get the sense that the mph is climbing at a brisk rate. I love this car and hope you keep it a very long time. I know I will.

But I really don't think any turbo whatever I'm talking to you m4 competition can hold an apex nearly as well. Maybe a C8 but I haven't driven one to know. All's I'm saying is the car at least for me has everything I need except low end torque in some situations. So I'm waiting for you to say what car under 100k will spank a SS1LE on a road course . Its all good to throw out a comment but why not name your choice?
@@layne4376 I went to those results and even car and driver was amazed it runs w a Porsche gt4 and an Audi R8 V10. You're right there's cars that beat it. But whatever numbers come up for me the car is amazing and there truly is nothing else I want. For parts and maintenance and durability and the way it handles. I can't see a better deal to be had. And a few bolt ons and this car would beat several more higher on that list. But thank you for the interesting conversation. We all have cars we love. This happens to be mine. 😁
I definitely wouldn't wrap it or add any graphics. It looks perfect as is. I would probably even keep the stock wheels. Although the stock exhaust sounds good, I would probably change it to Corsa and get some headers.
Apple car play has always been finicky in any device. I occasionally have issues in my 2016 but you should see how bad it is in a Toyota. Blind spots are not an issue if you have your mirrors set properly. My 2024 2SS 1lE was built on 9-12, just waiting on delivery.
For the audio/app locking, disable the WiFi and re-enable on the phone (pull down wireless menu). That will restart Carplay. I have had that happen a couple times before and the only thing that would fix it short of turning the car off. Also, the 1LE is perfect from the factory, I would not change a thing including the rear (functional) wing.

I have been on the Chevrolet website a couple of times and this is the exact color that I have been looking for. One of the main things that I would like to mod if and when I get it is put a supercharger on it. 😁
A couple of months ago I bought a 24 SS 1. Auto, magna-ride, recaros, NPP exhaust, summit white with the same wrap on the steering and shift lever. I wish the SS 1le would have been easier to find. But waited too long after production ended. Really think your car is darn nice right out of the box. Hey, you got it your way. Sweet. I know there's a bit of difference going on between the two, but so far, no issues but 200 miles isn't much of test. With tire wear due to track events, that's going to be some change laid down on that one, though not a mfg. issue. My wheels look dated. Where yours are way better. Right offset and designed for that car. I've been looking at wheels and most that I like are not hub centric or have a weird off set. Plus, I would have to spend more for tires. Being a Mustang Gt owner, last 5 cars. I used to think the same way about the view around me. But no issues here, even without the SS2 mirror. Thanks for sharing your experiences with your Camaro 1le. Look forward to your 3,000-mile review. By the way I sold my old C4 to help fund the Camaro. We can only go forward with that smiles per mile.
Have a 22 satin steel I have borla atak mufflers and added zl1 add ons wicker bill spoiler. Carbon fiber hood and diffuser and that’s all for cosmetic mods
I just hit 2400 miles on my 2023 SS convertible. I haven't had any issues yet. I wouldn't do anything with your exhaust. I have the dual mode as well and love the throaty sounds at low RPM's, and the trumpet sounds when I get on it. Love my Recarro seats. The bolstering on the sides is a little high and makes it difficult to get out of the car, but I'll except that as a sacrifice for the comfort and control that the seats provide. People laugh at me when I say that the car doesn't scare me anymore and I want more power. Looking at ordering a 2024 ZL1 now, but I know there are tons of upgrades to put on this motor that will give me similar results. Either an MSD or LS2 intake will open it up a bit with headers and cam, or doing an upgraded head route would do wonders as well. The only problem is that all of that violates the warranty, so I don't want to touch anything under the hood other than a cold air intake and catch can. These cars are so underrated. It's sad that they are going away. Turn yours into a Stormtrooper with that black and white theme. May the force be with you. lol
I have 23 2SS 1LE and i put 8k miles on it. Average fuel consumption will be of course depends on how you drive. Most of times i got something between 20-23mpg, sometimes 13-14mpg. I never faced any issue with seats but i faced the same infotainment issue like you. Sometimes music plays in infotainment system but can't change the songs with button on steering wheel. It is basically software connection issue. I hope chevy fix that with upgrade. I have another q for you. I live in DFW area as well. Do you guys have some car meets around it?
I love my 2021 SS 1LE with the 6 speed. Only 3000 miles on the odo... It is so fun to drive. I have the same white with black. I did add the oil catch can, rock guards, and tower strut brace. Love knowing it has the Vette engine in it from Kentucky as well.
I personally own a 2022 White 1LE as well! I have a corsa axle back on it! if you were to get an aftermarket exhuast, Corsa with the black chrome tips is a must!
My 22 Tahoe has the same issue with the infotainment screen. Have to shut it off and turn back on all the time. Don't have that issue with my 2017 1le.
In my opinion you got the best color combo and without a doubt those rims are some of the nicest stock rims to ever be put on any vehicle love those wheels.
I have a 2016 stingray with the same LT1 engine, with a tune I had cylinder deactivation removed and in the city sometimes I get 13 mpg! Highway though I can get as high as 31 still. Does your Camaro have cylinder deactivation still?
I have a '23 SS 1LE, also Summit White like yours. My plan was to keep it stock but that only lasted 6 months. I now have a heads/cam package as well as full bolt-on and e85 tune :)
Memory seats. I noticed for me since I use one fob one day then the spare one next time. Each fob is programmed maybe as driver 1 and driver 2 with different seat settings. You can program it in the settings on your infotainment. Hope it works for you. Do wish the seats reclined though 😢
I have an ATS-V Coupe. and I HATE the memory seat function. it did the same thing your Camao is doing AND it wears out the rotors in your seat. My suggestion, set up the seat the way you want, and turn off the feature. See how you like it. If you can get used to it, It will save you a bill and a trip to the dealership.
My '23 C8 memory seat program leaves me frustrated. It works well when programmed for the driving position upon startup. Cannot get it to retract when existing. Need to manually position my seat. Owner's manual instructions leave me more confused. ☹️
I’ve owned this car for only a few days now and the only modification it has is a cold air intake. Ive done almost all of my driving in the city and no matter how easy I am on the throttle I’m averaging around 13-14 mpg I have yet to see it go above 15
BOS, I also bought a ‘23 1LE Sharkskin A10. My opinions matches yours about the MPG, I’m surprised by how bad. I’m not exactly babying the car, but I’m not doing anything that crazy like launch control.
Only performance mod i do is a procharger kit everything else stock. Stock exhaust is perfect. Only exterior modification would be ppf. Everything else is perfect the way it is. 👌

I had a 2018 SS 1LE. The car begs to be driven hard....yes, you'll get bad gas mileage. Leave it stock.... especially the brakes. The car is incredible as stock. Enjoy your ride!
LOVING my new 2023 2SS! No regrets! But the radio play at start-up even with mute in my profile is very annoying! If thats my only complaint...I'll just shutup :)
My 23 1SS 1LE with 350 miles has only has 1 issue and it's the android auto randomly disconnecting from my phone. I go back to the app screen and reselect the android auto icon and it reconnects. Very annoying but at least nothing too serious! It'd drive me crazy if the screen wasn't working like yours! Hope you get it figured out! Visibility isn't great but it's not horrible like everyone says it is, I don't feel like I missed out on the rearview camera or the blind spot monitoring. Just something else to potentially go wrong!
Mods? Leave it alone! Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful. Save your money for maintenance. End links sometimes make noise. I truly believe these cars will be very much sought after. I regret selling mine.

I didn’t like the long clutch when I test drove it. Does that bother you at all or have you considered looking for a way to make it shorter if possible. Additionally the throw of the shifter from 1st to second gear still has the same hinderance the old z top z28’s had. Is there a that can smooth that shift throw out?

I love my 22 2SS 1LE But I would to see a realistic…maybe multi video super charger install Magnuson or Edelbrock…not a pro charger fan looks odd with air cleaner over manifold. Everything else stock besides the program that comes with the kits
I know this video is 6 months old, but I have a 23 2ss with 3800 miles on it bought new and its in the shop now having the lifters changed out due to issues with DOD.
Nice video and great content as always. As far as looks the car looks absolutely bitchin and I wouldn’t chance nothing it’s just perfect. Exhaust sound great so why change it agree 100 percent. As far as the seat problem my ct4v Blackwing use to do exactly the same thing as your Camaro and it was just random with no reason. It did it a lot in the beginning and till you said something I forgot it was even doing it because out out nowhere it stopped doing it. When the car was new it happened a lot and less and less. Now it hasn’t done it in a while. Mine even use to come forward and stop half way to the set driving position. Then I had to press the button to take me all the way to drivin position. I understand the frustration it annoyed the shit out of me but I did nothing to fix it and like I said I hasn’t done it in a while.

I would like you to go full carbon fiber body on this car with carbon fiber wheels. Shave 300 to 400 lbs and then go NA head cam setup with wider wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. Imagine a 3300 lbs car with all creature comforts putting down 600 whp.
it's a standalone item that can be added to the car order at the dealer, or you can buy them online as they are an OEM item. LethalGarage did a video on how to install them

Yep, the camera mirror helps tremendously. Yeah, I do need to hardwire my radar for sure.

But whatever numbers come up for me the car is amazing and there truly is nothing else I want. For parts and maintenance and durability and the way it handles. I can't see a better deal to be had. And a few bolt ons and this car would beat several more higher on that list. But thank you for the interesting conversation. We all have cars we love. This happens to be mine. 😁
I definitely wouldn't wrap it or add any graphics. It looks perfect as is. I would probably even keep the stock wheels. Although the stock exhaust sounds good, I would probably change it to Corsa and get some headers.

Apple car play has always been finicky in any device. I occasionally have issues in my 2016 but you should see how bad it is in a Toyota. Blind spots are not an issue if you have your mirrors set properly. My 2024 2SS 1lE was built on 9-12, just waiting on delivery.
For the audio/app locking, disable the WiFi and re-enable on the phone (pull down wireless menu). That will restart Carplay. I have had that happen a couple times before and the only thing that would fix it short of turning the car off.
Also, the 1LE is perfect from the factory, I would not change a thing including the rear (functional) wing.

A couple of months ago I bought a 24 SS 1. Auto, magna-ride, recaros, NPP exhaust, summit white with the same wrap on the steering and shift lever. I wish the SS 1le would have been easier to find. But waited too long after production ended. Really think your car is darn nice right out of the box. Hey, you got it your way. Sweet. I know there's a bit of difference going on between the two, but so far, no issues but 200 miles isn't much of test. With tire wear due to track events, that's going to be some change laid down on that one, though not a mfg. issue. My wheels look dated. Where yours are way better. Right offset and designed for that car. I've been looking at wheels and most that I like are not hub centric or have a weird off set. Plus, I would have to spend more for tires. Being a Mustang Gt owner, last 5 cars. I used to think the same way about the view around me. But no issues here, even without the SS2 mirror. Thanks for sharing your experiences with your Camaro 1le. Look forward to your 3,000-mile review. By the way I sold my old C4 to help fund the Camaro. We can only go forward with that smiles per mile.
Have a 22 satin steel I have borla atak mufflers and added zl1 add ons wicker bill spoiler. Carbon fiber hood and diffuser and that’s all for cosmetic mods
I just hit 2400 miles on my 2023 SS convertible. I haven't had any issues yet. I wouldn't do anything with your exhaust. I have the dual mode as well and love the throaty sounds at low RPM's, and the trumpet sounds when I get on it. Love my Recarro seats. The bolstering on the sides is a little high and makes it difficult to get out of the car, but I'll except that as a sacrifice for the comfort and control that the seats provide. People laugh at me when I say that the car doesn't scare me anymore and I want more power. Looking at ordering a 2024 ZL1 now, but I know there are tons of upgrades to put on this motor that will give me similar results. Either an MSD or LS2 intake will open it up a bit with headers and cam, or doing an upgraded head route would do wonders as well. The only problem is that all of that violates the warranty, so I don't want to touch anything under the hood other than a cold air intake and catch can. These cars are so underrated. It's sad that they are going away. Turn yours into a Stormtrooper with that black and white theme. May the force be with you. lol
I have 23 2SS 1LE and i put 8k miles on it. Average fuel consumption will be of course depends on how you drive. Most of times i got something between 20-23mpg, sometimes 13-14mpg.
I never faced any issue with seats but i faced the same infotainment issue like you. Sometimes music plays in infotainment system but can't change the songs with button on steering wheel. It is basically software connection issue. I hope chevy fix that with upgrade.

I love my 2021 SS 1LE with the 6 speed. Only 3000 miles on the odo... It is so fun to drive. I have the same white with black. I did add the oil catch can, rock guards, and tower strut brace. Love knowing it has the Vette engine in it from Kentucky as well.
I personally own a 2022 White 1LE as well! I have a corsa axle back on it! if you were to get an aftermarket exhuast, Corsa with the black chrome tips is a must!
Long tube headers,cold air intake, heads and cam package. Leave the npp mufflers. Gets way louder just eliminating secondary cats.
My 22 Tahoe has the same issue with the infotainment screen. Have to shut it off and turn back on all the time. Don't have that issue with my 2017 1le.
Yea my corvette and my Camaro both did the same thing with the radio idk why but I usually just turn the radio off and turn it back on it works
In my opinion you got the best color combo and without a doubt those rims are some of the nicest stock rims to ever be put on any vehicle love those wheels.
I have a 2016 stingray with the same LT1 engine, with a tune I had cylinder deactivation removed and in the city sometimes I get 13 mpg! Highway though I can get as high as 31 still. Does your Camaro have cylinder deactivation still?
I have a '23 SS 1LE, also Summit White like yours. My plan was to keep it stock but that only lasted 6 months. I now have a heads/cam package as well as full bolt-on and e85 tune :)
It just depends on what rpm you shift at. That would determine your gas mileage too.
Memory seats. I noticed for me since I use one fob one day then the spare one next time. Each fob is programmed maybe as driver 1 and driver 2 with different seat settings. You can program it in the settings on your infotainment. Hope it works for you. Do wish the seats reclined though 😢

I have an ATS-V Coupe. and I HATE the memory seat function. it did the same thing your Camao is doing AND it wears out the rotors in your seat. My suggestion, set up the seat the way you want, and turn off the feature. See how you like it. If you can get used to it, It will save you a bill and a trip to the dealership.
My '23 C8 memory seat program leaves me frustrated. It works well when programmed for the driving position upon startup. Cannot get it to retract when existing. Need to manually position my seat. Owner's manual instructions leave me more confused. ☹️
I’ve owned this car for only a few days now and the only modification it has is a cold air intake. Ive done almost all of my driving in the city and no matter how easy I am on the throttle I’m averaging around 13-14 mpg I have yet to see it go above 15
BOS, I also bought a ‘23 1LE Sharkskin A10. My opinions matches yours about the MPG, I’m surprised by how bad. I’m not exactly babying the car, but I’m not doing anything that crazy like launch control.
Only performance mod i do is a procharger kit everything else stock. Stock exhaust is perfect. Only exterior modification would be ppf. Everything else is perfect the way it is. 👌

Wheels are perfect , I rub MMR’s on my ZL1 . Engine wise intake , headers , for sure a AWE exhaust . The Camaros don’t really need much

I had a 2018 SS 1LE. The car begs to be driven hard....yes, you'll get bad gas mileage.
Leave it stock.... especially the brakes. The car is incredible as stock. Enjoy your ride!
For the 5- 10% memory seats doesn’t auto . Do you have the second key with you ? The memory seating is configured to the key you use as well .

I have the Corsa NPP. It's still in the box, haven't had time to install it yet.
My 23 1SS 1LE with 350 miles has only has 1 issue and it's the android auto randomly disconnecting from my phone. I go back to the app screen and reselect the android auto icon and it reconnects. Very annoying but at least nothing too serious! It'd drive me crazy if the screen wasn't working like yours! Hope you get it figured out! Visibility isn't great but it's not horrible like everyone says it is, I don't feel like I missed out on the rearview camera or the blind spot monitoring. Just something else to potentially go wrong!
Mods? Leave it alone! Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful. Save your money for maintenance. End links sometimes make noise. I truly believe these cars will be very much sought after. I regret selling mine.

I didn’t like the long clutch when I test drove it. Does that bother you at all or have you considered looking for a way to make it shorter if possible. Additionally the throw of the shifter from 1st to second gear still has the same hinderance the old z top z28’s had. Is there a that can smooth that shift throw out?

Average 20mpg with my 2019 SS1 is the same as everything I drive in sport only. I'm thinking you're hitting high RPM always .

Check it with the odometer.... My 2022 2ss 1LE gets 24 mi to the gallon.... Driving normal you'll get great mileage drive it hard you you won't...
i'm not sure the SS 1LE is meant to go up against an M4 or M5, which are a full tier higher.

Wouldn't make any sense to swap the exhaust system.
Have you had issues with the cylinder deactivation/AFM?
Manual transmission does not have that. We have skip shift.
I know this video is 6 months old, but I have a 23 2ss with 3800 miles on it bought new and its in the shop now having the lifters changed out due to issues with DOD.
I love the exhaust and wish I could put those mufflers on my C8. The gurgling popping snaps are awesome in your Camaro

The popping is the tune - they added the extra noise in 2019 or 2020. I was wondering the same thing when I was shopping.
I had a 2018 1SS 1 LE and it got 29 mpg at 78mph
Nice video and great content as always. As far as looks the car looks absolutely bitchin and I wouldn’t chance nothing it’s just perfect. Exhaust sound great so why change it agree 100 percent. As far as the seat problem my ct4v Blackwing use to do exactly the same thing as your Camaro and it was just random with no reason. It did it a lot in the beginning and till you said something I forgot it was even doing it because out out nowhere it stopped doing it. When the car was new it happened a lot and less and less. Now it hasn’t done it in a while. Mine even use to come forward and stop half way to the set driving position. Then I had to press the button to take me all the way to drivin position. I understand the frustration it annoyed the shit out of me but I did nothing to fix it and like I said I hasn’t done it in a while.

I would like you to go full carbon fiber body on this car with carbon fiber wheels. Shave 300 to 400 lbs and then go NA head cam setup with wider wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. Imagine a 3300 lbs car with all creature comforts putting down 600 whp.
