I've been playing 4141 in div3 and it's pretty fun. Tactics would be press after possession loss with 30 width 50 depth, slow build up with balanced. Instructions for the defenders are all default with gk comes for crosses and rushes out. DM cover center and stay back, CMs cover center and default on other instructions. Both the CMs and DMF are all high/high players. I tried Def high/att med DMF but doesn't work that well. Two wide players come back on defense with get into the box. ST with stay forward and other instructions on default. It's been pretty fun to play with it.
My 4222 tactics
Defense- Balanced
Width -45
Depth - 52
Slow Build Up
Forward runs
Width - 60
Players in the box - 6
Corners - your preference
Free kicks - your preference
Both ST - Stay central and stay forward
Lam and Ram - come back on defense, get into the box for crosses and free roam
LDM- Completely default
RDM- cover center and drop between defenders, the rest on default
LB & RB - join the attack and overlap
CBs - Default
GK - personal choice.
Lots of passing options for playing quick or slow and can give you opportunities for over loads in the forward areas

CM's: one stayback cover centre, the second one balanced, cover centre

They're quite different so depends how you play! These are more defensively robust and lend to a slower build up - Honestly best thing is just to try both 👊

No reason to have wingers come back on defense when your fullbacks are already staying back.
There is obviously a logic to that - But how defensively robust it is at the back with and without that instruction is noticable so ultimately whether you want to use it or not is personal preference!
