Loved the video. I started an outside tub last year and successfully overwintered two fantail goldfish.

Thanks for that! Appreciate the comment :) thats interesting to hear that a fantail has overwintered. Like I said in the video there are so many factors that make it possible or not!

Wow that’s amazing. And you do not noticed any health problems with the Oranda? Where are you based?

Good video mate abd I’ve kept most of those varieties, is it not the 12 reds on a Jikin ? And is the Comet not an American fancy goldfish? It’s the only one that they claim to have developed, obviously London and Bristols here .
It’s said Hugo Murlett developed it in the 1880s . I do know sone refer to common Shubunkins as the calico comet and they originated in Japan I believe but the actual Comet is attributed to the USA . I’m only quoting sources and I may well be incorrect

Thanks mate! Appreciate the comment and the feedback!
I think I said 6 points in the video for the colouration of the Jikin as I spoke about sets of fins rather than each fin individually..and the and gill pates, lips, dorsal etc.
As far I was aware the comet originated from china. The Shubunkin has been developed in Japan, uk, china and the United States so as far as I’m aware there are loads of varieties.
You may be right that the actual comet attributed to the USA, It was a mind field trying to source all the info. I’m just hoping by my sources! Thanks for the input :)
