Very helpful, I appreciate your knowledge on how to read these charts. Thank you
this was really informative... when I'm out on the water I constantly ask people about markers, colors and Etc.. shared this with a friend immediately .... great job.
TheDcrocks1 excellent, glad it helped. Thanks for sharing!

Bob D thanks for the note, much appreciated
Had to do a 20 minute presentation on chartwork for my RYA instructor course and oh my god this video helped me so much thank you for making this it's genuinely useful information
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for letting me know. It's great to hear when people find these videos useful. Cheers!
So helpful, thanks.
That was great. Thank you.
Very useful; thank you!
Great basics 👌
Thank you 👍
guy richard thanks for watching! Glad it's helpful.
Cheers!
fast but clear and helpful thanks
For international viewers: There are two systems for lateral signs. RRR only works for the Americas and JPN (system B); system A has green buoys on the starboard side. At least they did not swap the shapes, starboard is pointy, portside is flat/blunt. The according cribs I've come up with are GGG (green-to-green=good, i.e. coming home) or RRR (rot-rechts-raus - works only in German, sorry ...)
Thank you .
Thank you, that was really useful. Could you please suggest where i can get downloadable/printable charts online?
Good stuff man
Kristoffer Vandbakk thank you sir!
Thank you, can you suggest a source for downloading or printing maps online. Secondly, where do you purchase your waterproof maps?
Great video. I am new to canoeing. Where can one buy a nautical map of state rivers?
don't forget that the red and green channel markers are the opposite colours (OK colors) outside the Americas, Philippines and Japan. Shapes are the same though.
Hey. I dont know If its here the place ask some questions, but i will try. 1. How to carrying kayak? 2. Where to mount actioncams for the best videos? Hope we will see videos.
Thanks.
No problem. For carrying a kayak, I put together this video, hopefully it's helpful: czcams.com/video/sN2rS_9XkNc/video.html
For locations to mount cameras, that's a good idea. I'll add it to the list.
Cheers and thanks for reaching out.
Excellent! I wish my sailing instructor was as clear and helpful as your video!
Much appreciated! Glad it was helpful. Cheers!
Here in the uk that, Red Right Return is wrong.. ?????
You also drive on the wrong side of the road, so what did you expect?
Fine video, but degrees, minutes and seconds can be replaced by the decimal system, which is also in use .
Rich Gross great point. That's exactly right, but I wanted to keep this video as basic and condensed as possible, so that was one of the areas I chose not to go into detail. Thanks for the note, if you think I should include anything else in particular please let me know. Cheers!
dynamite shot 👍
Thanks!
Please show HOW to read degrees, minutes and seconds on the chart itself. A definition without reading instruction is less helpful.
