You are right. The camera picked up a strange noise. As soon as it started I could tell something was not quite right. Unfortunately another tear down.
Again your attention to detail on your engine rebuild is equal to or better than some OEM and aftermarket builders. Sometimes a noise just sticks in your craw and you can't let it go, just don't feel quite right. Great Friday video!
At least you boys know what you are doing repairing dozers better than the military
❤ great job Kevin and Clint, throughly enjoy watching you both work together ❤️.
Dam one thing after another ! I have 100% confidence that you will get this sorted and someone is going to get a cracking machine ! Thanks for sharing and your honesty says a hell of a lot about you. Respect from Scotland.
It sucks about the engine rebuild issue here Clint and I hope it’s resolvable without spending too much more money. Thanks for sharing the successes as well as the ones that didn’t go so well. Keeping it real at C&C Equipment.
40 years of building engines. I have to agree, sounds like a rod to me as soon as you started it. Hope it didn't hurt the crank.
Some motor pool boss knows all about the good / throne rod engine swap on that rig. There were other surgeries, too. Pride of doing a good job is evident. 👍
Clint, your teamwork on that engine install was smooth as glass...great job guys...watching you is a pleasure!
On our end we could hear it as soon as you started the engine. For those of us that have followed you for any time knows your repetition is wroth more than the cost of making this issue right with the end customer and all of your YT views. Great job.
Man that sucks Clint!! You could have edited that out but it just shows how honest of a guy you are and can't wait to see what the problem is. Good luck!! it's going to be a great machine for someone when you get it right.
(gayle) As many hours As you and your team have worked on that machine,I cannot believe the minor things you had to do to it, they were tedious. Kudos to you and your team for the work you guys have done on it
You could’ve just called it good to go but you have a conscience. That’s why you are still at it and have repeat customers. Im grateful for the content in any event.
Great videos, guys. I used to weld for a small company in North West Ohio. We made all the hoods, grills, side doors and other exterior components for these dozers. Every time I watch your videos, I see another part I used to make. 🤟
It’s nice to see someone these days where “close enough” is not good enough
Hi Clint I always appreciate your knowledge, craftsmanship and know how! Everything is done to perfection, glad to show others how it's done.
I'm sure Kevin, your kids and Randy are glad to have you as a mentor. Always honest with no nonsense, quality videos.... keep em coming! Jut don't teach Kevin too much otherwise Sauge fingers Garage on the horizon, lol All kidding asides he seams like a very loyal person/ worker , he's getting a lot better being on camera with some comedy lol. Kevin's paint jobs are this world!
I think you guys do an amazing job on the dozer’s you get, especially the paint 🎨
You have to be the most honest and ethical business man I have seen in a very long time! These qualities added to your skill set and professionalism make you a standout in today's market! I'd buy from you anytime!
Really good video - Looking forward to the continuation.....Thank You..........
You got a wealth of knowledge building them dozers my friend , and you got a ton of respect going your way for going that extra mile after you yourself picking up on something thats not right sounding in the motor .... good work my friend and much respect ! 🍺😎
That Randy keeps that shop looking good always.👋👋
I liked every thing in the movie. Good show.
Greetings from No VT - Great example of small things that can crop up. As usual, your approach of "make it right" in a world "where close is good enough" is all too common is so great to hear! Thanks you.
This video speaks volumes about your business ethic Clint. I feel fortunate to have ran across your channel. Keep up the good work
I had no idea about drive calibration! Had no idea that the dozer was that fancy!
Keep up the good work that y'all do, I love watching everything that y'all do, many blessings my friends❤
Damn...I heard the tick. Looking fwd to part 6. Holy cow hope you didn't tear it apart.
I thought I was Imagining that noise. Thought i was maybe just the way the camera was recording the sound. Thanks for adding that in. Great as always👍👍
That was a tricky little bugger but can’t trick the master of ingenuity nicely done lesson learned got to check everything out less complications in the future 👍😎🇺🇸NY
Hope you will have a part six on what you found wrong
Great video and a great job! Murphy’s Law tried to get you but you beat it!
Clint, nothing you do with your sons and crew bore us subs.
We'd watch you just working on a lawn mower engine.
The only reason I'm watching this two days late is my Bebita Wife Maria and I was helping an 83 yeard friend of ours sort, give away, donate and pack up her duplex apartment to move up to Hendersonville North Carolina to live with her son.
She just finally retired last year and rents have increased ridiculously way over what they should be.
So I got a lot of catching up to do here on facebook channels I watch.
Not that I am an expert in any way but you are the most gifted mechanics I have ever seen. I am 65 years old and am amazed that someone your age has acquired such knowledge and unique problem solving skills. You could teach McIver a thing or two. (guess only the old folks will get that) Kudos for the great job you are doing raising up your boys! I know you and your wife are so proud of them.
You should teach classes on " HOW TO REPLACE ENGINE OR MOTOR IN 3 EAZY CLASSES " HAVE A GREAT DAY!
That was a long hard struggle but you guys succeeded in taking scrap iron and making it live again.
I thought I could hear something in my earbuds. It sucks when you have to pull one back out. You will find it good luck!!
Good to hear it running. Hate see you have to pull it down agrin to find that tic. Great video as always.
glad to see you will make it get to your satisfaction, most would let it go, Regie Jackson says the only person i need to impress is ME
The second you started it up, I thought I heard a knock. What a heart breaker. Hope you don't have to pull the engine again, but if you have to, you have to. I hate when things don't go as planned. Good luck. I know you will make it right.
Clint you and your guys are some of the most honest in the business. Thanks for caring about what you do and making it right for the customer. I'm sure you don't want to tear the motor apart again but I am sure you will make it right before it leaves your yard. Thanks for sharing good and the bad in your business. Cheers
Very Nice Job..... It's pretty quiet....... ✊✊👌👌🤗👍👍👍
Awesome project. Thanks for bringing us along guys!
All videos are great on your builds. What I and several others would like to see is a jeep build out of all that you have in your warehouse, please thank you.
Well your in luck because we did a 3 video series
Should come out later this month
@@C_CEQUIPMENT Awesome can wait for that! I'm sure they will be some great series.....another great treat for us 👍
And sausage fingers for the win! - lol You have a wealth of knowledge I hope you will be able to impart to your progeny!
Clint with the knowledge and patients revives another machine…
phenomenal results…thank you guys for all you videos.
Man what a journey that one has become; you’ll will get it
Man sorry to hear that, good luck.
Thank God for people like you that "make it right" versus just letting things slide. Certainly coming to you when I get ready to buy a dozer for the ranch.
I respect all of the men that put in the extra effort and supported the team.
Wow.......What a booger, you guys did great JOB....Even Randy was Baffled....Carry on !
You are one very smart young man Clint
Clint, I was upset to learn that the engine was clicking. It's unfortunate that it will take unforeseen time & expense, but I have no doubt that you won't release it until it is perfect. Because your organization has excellent management, expertise, talents, and ethics-all of which are increasingly uncommon these days-I enjoy and appreciate this channel. Thanks for the videos, and keep up the fantastic job.
Good job you have a Lotta knowledge when it comes to doing stuff like that I was pretty amazed. I watched all the videos. Very very interesting. Maybe I’ll learn something as well. Thank you for your videos they’re great.
Dedication right there. Thank you 😊
Good work fellas.
Once again great job thanks
Geez you got bad luck on this one. You already mentioned it in the livestream but it is a good thing you don’t let this one pass over one night.
2/5/23; JD850J after engine rebuild, install, tranny psi control re-set, test drive computer re-calibration of engine speeds & drives for parallel tracking & exact/correct control...⚙️ all seemed fine...but...👂🏼🦧🤔⏲️👂🏼👂🏼🦧 'new' engine 'tick' ! Much appreciate your honesty telling all us viewers several possible issues...all involve another (2nd) engine removal & disassembly ! Truth, honesty stand out on you Clint! 👏 Your integrity! Anxious to see yur next video on progress of this project. You have all the tools & facility & experience & resources (books, computer search/technical videos) you need to go back...& do a forensic examination of the numerous components. What a teaching experience this will become! Thx for your honesty! Am sure this will work out for the best...but will take more time, attitude/effort & $$ to get this resolved. You are t h e man to show all of us how to fix a bad situation. Much appreciate all your efforts! Stay safe & do carry on!💪💪🛠🙂
GREAT VIDEO-LOVED THE SERIES.
Can’t wait for the next episode.

Fantastic job guys well done
Thanks for such good and Honest content.......
You guys are amazing, nice work
Great job Clint. Have a great weekend.
GREAT WORK.✌✌✌
Massive respect these things are sent to test us.
Possible piston pin retainer snap ring unseated, thought maybe the coupling had looseness, I don't know, not a rod sound or piston slap more piston pin double knock and it's too fast for valve train. I thought the coupling had a hard rubber zero clearance spacer that went in between the fingers or was just a zero clearance machined surface. I've seen those couplings before, but between an engine and an outdrive on big i/o units with 1500 horse power set ups, never worked on dozers just cars and boats. Had a broken crankshaft that sounded like that, it broke uneven so it had a piece like a key that allowed it to turn together, but just remembered a bolt in the combustion chamber sounds like that too. God Bless you, you need them.
Great job guys. You sure have a good group of people around you. Great video. Thanks for sharing. I’m sure you will figure what’s causing the problem. I have all the faith in the world you’ll figure it out.
Great video
Sure be waiting for that next video

This tractor is gonna clean up sooooooo Good!
Really appreciate your attention to detail, making sure you provide your customers with reliable equipment that they can trust. Repeat customers are the best customers because they usually tell their friends and we all know word of mouth is one of the best advertising methods there is. Great job once again!😊

Your right about the ticking I heard it from the first start I'm glad you could hear it in the video
Great Looking Hot Rod. ! 👍🇺🇸
